Guild is a closed social platform exclusively for verified university students. It brings the anonymous forum, campus communities, and events together in one app. Access is limited to .edu.tr email addresses. DISCUSSION FORUM This is where Guild's heart beats. Talk about every aspect of campus life — across Confession, Overheard, Food, Housing, and General categories. Post under your name or anonymously; even anonymous posts stay verified through your university email, so discussions are filled with real student voices instead of strangers like on Reddit. See conversations from both your own campus and other universities, and catch the most talked-about topics through the "Hot right now" tab. Attach up to four photos to any post, upvote, and comment. CAMPUS + CROSS-UNIVERSITY You get two feeds: your own campus (visible only to students from your university) and a cross-university feed (all verified campuses together). Every post shows which university it comes from. CAMPUS COMMUNITIES Discover the official student clubs and organizations at your university. Follow the clubs you care about and see their announcements directly on your home feed. Verified communities display a blue checkmark. EVENTS Reserve your spot at campus events with a single tap. Join the waitlist if capacity is full. Check in with your reservation PIN, then share your experience with ratings and reviews. OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS Community managers publish verified announcements on behalf of student organizations. Members can vote on and discuss posts within clear community guidelines. Contact: support@loncateam.com ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 2.8.0 — 2026-08-27 Search the forum by name, and a few things that stopped getting in the way. • Search the forum by name — search now looks at the author's name as well as the post text, on named posts only. Anonymous posts never surface in search. • Tap a profile photo to fill the screen — for the detail a small circle was never going to show. • Respects Reduce Motion — with the setting on, Guild stops the animations that loop, loading skeletons and the ringing alarm icon included. • We'll say when an update is out — a small strip on your home feed when a new version ships, so you can update in your own time. • A name you can fix — if the name you signed up with can't be used, you now get a screen that asks for another one instead of a dead end. • Shared links open in the app — a link someone sends you to a society, event, forum post or opportunity opens where it belongs. Plus about fifty fixes: a rate limit no longer signs you out, ratings stay consistent between a society page and its events, and the last English corners of the Turkish app are gone. ### 2.7.0 — 2026-08-21 Guild gets a new look, a second language, and a face. • Dark mode — Guild now follows your phone's appearance, or you can pin Light or Dark yourself. Profile → Appearance. • Türkçe or English — the whole app speaks both now, and so do your notifications and the messages the server sends back. Profile → Language, or leave it on System and it follows your phone. • Profile photo — put a face to your name. It shows on your named posts and comments, and never on anonymous ones. • An animal for every anonymous poster — anonymous posts in a thread now carry a small animal, so you can follow who replied to whom. It changes from thread to thread and still says nothing about who anyone is. • Profiles you can open — tap a name to see what else that person posted under it. If you use a nickname, your anonymous posts can have a separate profile of their own — only if you switch it on. • Answers inside the app — a 15-question FAQ, reachable from the sign-up screen and from Settings → Help & Support. • Ünimnet: always open — opportunities with no application deadline no longer disappear from Discover. They're marked "Always open" and carry the date they were posted, so you can judge for yourself. • A refreshed look throughout — new typography, headers and cards on every screen, clearer empty and offline states, better labels, larger touch targets, and less motion when your phone asks for it. • Plus: notifications are now asked for at the right moment for each account, and a long list of fixes. ### 2.6.3 — 2026-08-14 Profiles are here. • Tap someone's name on a post to open their profile — the posts they shared under their own name, plus how many likes and comments they've picked up. • Chose a nickname? You can now let others open your nickname profile and see your anonymous posts under it. It's off by default, you can switch it off again at any time, and your real name is never shown there. • Anonymous still means anonymous: the "anon-…" label leads nowhere, and the two profiles share nothing. • Tapping a community's name on its post now opens the community. Plus a round of fixes to voting, sign-in, account deletion and the content filter. ### 2.6.2 — 2026-08-07 This update makes Guild faster, sturdier, and easier to make yours. • Pick a nickname — replace the "anon-…" label on your anonymous posts with a name people can recognise. It still never reveals who you are. • Forgot your password? Reset it yourself — we email you a 6-digit code and you choose a new password right in the app. • Ask with a poll — add up to 5 options to any post. Votes are anonymous; everyone sees only the totals. • Instant start — your feed is saved between launches, so it's on screen the moment the app opens. • Better offline — lost your connection? You stay signed in and keep your saved content, with a clear heads-up while we reconnect. • Plus stability fixes and smoother feedback on every tap. ### 2.6 — 2026-08-01 What's New in 2.6.0: • Forum nicknames, your way — rename yours anytime (once every 30 days) or remove it whenever you like. Your past anonymous posts update automatically. • Faster app performance — quicker event pages, notifications, and navigation throughout. • Backend upgrade: you may be asked to sign in again after updating.
