## What is GETMATE?

Making friends as an adult is hard. GETMATE makes it honest.

GETMATE is a friendship app — not dating. There are no profile photos, no swiping, no endless feeds. Instead, you answer a short compass about who you are: your interests, your values, your social energy. Our matching then suggests up to 5 people who genuinely fit you — as friends.

WHY IT WORKS
• Personality first: matching is based on who you are, not how you look
• Your privacy is radical: your free-text answers and values are NEVER shown to other users — matches only see your hobbies, a rough distance and one line about why you fit
• Maximum 5 active matches: no collecting, no ghosting economy — every match has room to become a real friendship

WHAT'S INSIDE
• The Compass: a short, thoughtful onboarding instead of a photo gallery
• Chat with games: break the ice with "Would Rather", drawing & guessing, truth or dare, Mau-Mau and real-time Pong
• Needle: spontaneous drawing lobbies with other members
• Meet: plan a real-life meetup together, with an optional safety check-in
• Verified humans: a quick voice check proves there's a real person behind every verified badge — no bots, no fakes
• Chat photos auto-delete after 48 hours

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
No ads. No selling your data. Your compass answers stay between you and the matching — always. Chat images vanish after 48 hours. You can delete your account (and everything with it) anytime in the settings.

MEMBERSHIP
GETMATE membership is an auto-renewable subscription: €17.99/month or €99/year, with a 7-day free trial for new members. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.9 — 2026-11-02

• New: 8-ball pool – challenge your mates to a 3D game right in the chat.
• Icebreakers: stuck on what to say? Get three ideas for your first message right in the chat.
• Home Screen widget: see at a glance who wrote and where it's your turn.
• Big screens like iPhone Duo: chats and mates now sit side by side.
• Lots of small improvements and fixes.

### 1.0.8 — 2026-10-21

• Mau-Mau rebuilt from scratch: a real card table with animations, card sounds and clear hints on what you can play.
• Classic German rules: an opening 7 counts, after drawing play the card or pass, call Mau before your second-to-last card.
• Multi-line chat messages.
• Faster start: no more freezing right after opening the app.
• Lots of small improvements.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-22

Open spots no longer go quiet: when nobody has moved in yet, the app tells you honestly why – and offers the right next step, like widening your range. Plus small improvements.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-10

The first seven days are free — until now that only appeared on the website, now the app says so too. Each section in the bottom bar also has its own sound, and voice verification confirms with a new voice.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-03

New after signing up: a short intro that shows what the four sections are for. You now answer the values questions by swiping cards. The app no longer crashes when you switch away from it, and the notices for removing a mate tell you honestly how long the wait is.
