Both parties use it and the tablet stations/wifi are also to blame for dropped calls. When I was incarcerated you could see everything. There’s no settings in the app or in phone settings to change that. I’m uploading my ID. And apparently I can’t get verified. This is ridiculous and strenuous. just to talk to my inmate please do better GTL network. !!!!! ### 1/5 — Terrible app! *2026-08-16, version 5.0* I am very disappointed with this app. It won’t let me deposit the funds and chat with my loved one. So I called the help center and they hung up on my face. Now you can only see a circular cut out of the head floating on a screen. Nothing else. If anything blocks my face the video stops working. This app is no longer worth the money. Horrible. The way you have too set it up is make sure he or she has money on their books and then you have too stay on the app and have them call you. If you’re not on the app while they call you, It’s not gunna work. Trust me!! And plus too set up all your accounts is annoying but, if you really wanna video chat with your man or woman this is legit!!❤️❤️❤️ ### 5/5 — Good review! *2020-11-27* With all the bad reviews this app gets I just wanted to post a good one. I’ve had very few problems out of this app at all. My only issues with this app is that one time when my friend video chatted me it wouldn’t let me accept it because it said my browser was out of date and needed an upgrade ok that fine I thought I upgraded the browser it was using but it still didn’t work. It was using my safari browser not my chrome one but it said my chrome one. Anyway realized my phone had a recent update to it and the only way to update my safari browser was to update my phone. Updated my phone and boom it worked again! Just as it did before. My only other problem is that it doesn’t really notify me when he starts the video call. No sound just a banner on the top of my screen or it appears on my Lock Screen. I would like for it to make sound to notify me that I’m getting a video call. Other then that I love this app! He gets 30 minutes of free video chat time and I love getting to see his face when i get to.
