## What is GGym?

GGym is a training log stripped back to the part that matters: what you lifted, and what you lifted last time.

Start a session, pick an exercise, log your set. Every set you put down sits next to the same set from the last time you trained that movement, so the number to beat is already in front of you — no digging through history halfway through a workout.

Weight and reps step with controls big enough to hit one-handed, and you can type a weight straight in when you want to jump rather than climb.

Rest looks after itself. Log a set and the clock starts; the bar fills as it counts down, and one tap skips it.

FEATURES

• Last session's numbers beside every set
• A rest timer that starts on its own and skips with a single tap
• Weight in kilograms or pounds, and bodyweight movements
• Swipe down to see the whole session at a glance
• Full history — every session, every exercise, every set
• Works entirely offline

No account. No sign-up. No ads. Nothing is tracked, and everything you log stays on your device.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-10-27

Your training log, now in iCloud
Every session, exercise and set syncs to your private iCloud account. Switch phones or reinstall and your full history comes back with you. Nothing to set up: if you’re signed in to iCloud, it just works.

Better targets on extra sets
Doing more sets than last time? GGym used to show your last set from the previous session over and over. Now extra sets start from what you just lifted today, with no stale target in the way.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-15

• Remove a set: swipe it left and tap the bin, or swipe all the way across.
• See when your rest is over from across the room: the screen flashes when the timer runs out, and stays on while you rest.
• The rest timer now shows on the session overview too.
• "+ new workout" is now a proper button, just above "continue".
• Workouts now open out of the session list and close back into it.
• Weight now steps with − and +, reps with the arrows.
• Fixed taps sometimes being missed in the workout picker on iOS 18.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-07

• GGym is now available in French. It follows your iPhone's language, or you can choose French for GGym alone in Settings. Exercise names stay in English.
• Pick up where you left off: if GGym closes during a session — swiped away, or closed by iOS while your phone was in your pocket — reopen it within two hours and you're straight back in your session, rest timer included.
• Every set is saved the moment you log it, so nothing is lost if the app closes right after.
• When a workout has lots of sets, its name and "new workout" stay at the top while the sets scroll beneath them. In the session overview the workout list scrolls, and "+ new workout" and the session settings stay within reach.
• Fixed: deleting a session and starting a new one straight away no longer brings the deleted session back.
• Fixed: a session interrupted long ago no longer leaves its Live Activity on the Lock Screen or a rest alert waiting.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-04

• Resume a workout. Gone back to an earlier workout mid-session? Tap "resume this workout" and keep logging sets against it. Handy when a machine frees up, or for supersets.

• Your own workouts, saved. Add a workout that isn't listed, choose its muscle group, and it'll be waiting in that group and in search from then on. Swipe left to remove one you no longer need.

• See every workout in a group. Workouts already in your session stay in the list, greyed out, instead of disappearing.

• Faster rest skipping. Holding the rest bar now speeds up the countdown the moment you press it.

• Polish: "+ new workout" now stands apart in the session overview, labels are consistent throughout, and the weight you can type in gets a dotted underline.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-19

What's new in 1.1

• Find movements faster. Pick from recent ones, or browse by muscle group: chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs and core. Search still finds anything straight away.
• Delete a past session by swiping it away, with a few seconds to undo.
• Dates read the way you'd say them: Today, Yesterday, Saturday.
• Add your next workout straight from the one you're on, and tap the live count at the top to see the whole session.
• A proper vibration when rest is up, one you can feel with the phone on the bench.
• Tap anywhere to finish typing a weight.
• Now runs on iOS 18 and later.
