## What is Ghar?

Ghar is a calm companion for Hindu practice at home. Use it without an account, build a daily rhythm, and keep your core household profile and practice history on this device.

DAILY PRACTICE
• Follow step-by-step puja, mantra, diya, aarti, and recitation guidance.
• Choose a practice depth and save favorites.
• Return to daily shlokas, learning articles, and home-practice guides.

PANCHANG AND OBSERVANCES
• See calculated daily Panchang guidance, including tithi and nakshatra.
• If you choose to share a location, see local sunrise and sunset when available.
• Plan around selected named observances from Ghar's reviewed 2026 India/default calendar, with reminders and preparation guidance where published.
• Use the Home Screen widget for a quick daily view.

Calendar scope matters: named observances follow Ghar's reviewed India/default convention, and local traditions can differ by a civil day. Daily Panchang labels are calculated guidance, not a certified ephemeris. Ghar does not publish a vrat or fasting-day calendar.

PRIVACY AND ACCESS
• Continue without an account, or optionally use Sign in with Apple.
• Core household profile and practice history stay on this device in this release.
• Household cloud sync is unavailable.
• Export or delete local Ghar data from the app.

Ghar includes free features. Ghar 1.1.7 offers Premium Monthly and Premium Annual subscriptions through Apple. Family Annual is not offered in the 1.1.7 purchase UI; existing Family Annual subscribers retain Premium access, while household sync remains unavailable. No free trial is offered or promised. Prices and renewal details appear in Apple's purchase sheet before confirmation.

Ghar provides educational and spiritual guidance, not medical, legal, or financial advice. Practices and observances can vary by family, region, and tradition.

### 1/5 — Incomplete Shlokas

*2026-05-06*

Great attempt however This app is not multi user friendly. It supports only a few Indian Languages. The Daily Shlokas are mostly Incomplete. I deleted the App!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. A few clarifications for anyone reading.
On the shlokas, they're intentionally short. A shloka by definition is a single verse, not a full text. Selecting one verse for daily reflection is a standard practice, not a sign of incompleteness. Each one in Ghar includes the Sanskrit, transliteration, and English meaning in full.
On Indian languages, current version supports English and Hindi. Tamil, Gujarati, and others are planned but I can't realistically ship in every Indian language at once as a solo developer.
On multi-user, Ghar does support household sharing through Family profiles, up to 6 people with separate tradition preferences. That setup just isn't visible by default in the single-user flow, which is on me to surface better.
Hope this is useful context. Thanks for trying it.

### 5/5 — Everything I needed

*2026-05-03*

I never followed rituals closely when I was doing with parents. Now I live alone and realized I did not know things in depth. This app makes me do it and not just read or watch. I love it.

### 5/5 — Connects me back to my roots

*2026-05-02*

Living so far away from home and family, this app has made me reconnect with all the parts I love about my culture as a Hindu and Indian. Rituals and practices made so easy to understand and follow by myself. I’m so glad I came across this app

### 5/5 — This confused Hindu American is loving this app!

*2026-04-28*

I’m a Xennial (between Gen X and Milennial), born and raised in the US, and I’ve always enjoyed spiritual practice but not felt like I truly ever know was is going on, could replicate a practice unless my mom is with me, and even then, I want he underlying meaning of what I’m doing and to understand it for the actual spiritual practice. This app has been amazing for the few days I’ve had it and I really applaud the maker. Thank you! It’s bringing a lot of groundedness to my day.
