## What is GhTimber Atlas?

The GhTimber Atlas App provides a visually engaging and interactive platform to explore the physical and technical properties of various Ghanaian timber species, with a focus on lesser-used and lesser-known species. 

The app offers wood users instant access to comprehensive details about each timber species, including its appearance, ecological zone of origin, forest status, strength, processing characteristics and practical applications. 

Designed with a user-friendly interface, the app ensures that information is easily accessible, enabling wood users to effectively acquire and apply knowledge for informed decision-making.

In this latest update, we have introduced key improvements to enhance both the visual appeal and functionality of the application. Additionally, all images are now cached locally, allowing you to preview them offline after they’ve been viewed once. Internet access is only required if the images are updated.
