The app is frustrating since there is no way to actually manage your scripts. Years ago I could remove medication I was taken off. I could put it on auto refill and remove auto refill if I had too much on hand. NOW. Now I can’t do either. ### 4/5 — RX list order *2026-03-27, version 3.1.7* I enjoy the ease of use with the app but I’d like to see that prescriptions with refills be listed at the top. I can not speak to a person on the phone. I have to physically go into the store to speak to someone. Very confusing. Another app I used for a different pharmacy would tell you if it was pending at least and received. ### 3/5 — What happened to the history tab? *2025-10-01, version 3.1.5* This app has been essential in helping us keep track of all of my family’s various prescriptions. Some are recurring and ordering refills from the app is a wonderful. But this summer the history tab was broken. Row after row of “not enrolled” greets me now. I used to be able to see when we last filled certain meds etc. will go back to five star review when it is restored. Doesn’t make sense (since no Rx was required for the vaccines). Disappointing from a convenience standpoint. First of all, the screenshots in the App Store don’t resemble the actual app styling, particularly the pharmacy list. Sometimes you can’t log in or get errors like broken html spat back at you. I’ve had prescriptions get stuck in limbo. They aren’t In Process or for pickup and I can’t submit another refill request because I already submitted one. The pharmacy desk has to re-submit it to be filled. As a user, I’d like notifications when my prescriptions are ready. It would also be great to be able to edit my personal information like phone number, address, notification preferences, etc. which currently also needs to be done at the desk. Within the past months, they did something to the sign-in process. (No more username but a pin or email address.) The pin broke for me and no longer works. Signing in with the email is clunky and needs to be done every time you close the app. (Patient privacy- I get it.) My refill feed is clogged with old prescriptions with 0 refills. (I really don’t need to refill the prescription mouthwash from my dental surgery.) The interface needs to give more power to its users. Update: I submitted a complaint to Giant to fix their app and they shoved it back onto the pharmacy to “appease” me. Now I get called whenever my prescriptions are done which I specifically disabled. Also, people with hearing impairments may not be able to use the app because the only verification option is through a phone call. More verification options should be provided to make the app accessible to everyone. ### 1/5 — Pharmacy app frustrating *2026-04-14, version 3.1.7* App allows you to refill but when you get to counter they have info saying otherwise ie need to wait for insurance, need refill etc. Information in app should reflect what pharmacists have! Incredibly frustrating! ### 1/5 — Login issues *2026-02-07, version 3.1.6* The app used to work pretty well until about a year or so ago when they made some changes to the login process and did away with the sign in and tried to replace it with a pin or something. I have yet to be able to log into my account since then, despite trying so many times and it’s really frustrating and annoying. Reset password, etc always get an error. ### 1/5 — Long Neck Pharmacy *2026-01-14, version 3.1.6* It is terrible how long it takes to get a prescription here. I’ve had to come here since Rite Aid closed and it’s been so frustrating I’m sitting here waiting for a RX that was sent by my doc this morning. I’ve been waiting a good 1.5hrs and was told it would prob be another 15-30 mins. If I can believe that! Unfortunately I NEED the medicine or I’d just leave. It just keeps getting worse instead of better. Im going to wind up on BP meds at this rate. We need another pharmacy in Long Neck. (Walgreens was even worse in the past). Cannot process correct information that should add patients to the account! ### 1/5 — Awful pharmacy app and website. *2025-07-25, version 3.1.5* Update on 25Jul2025: The most recent update from 2 days ago has crashed the App. Now it refuses to open. I deleted and redownloaded. After the splash screen, the App still crashes. I'm using an iPhone7, iOS 15.8.4, 256gb, no other Apps open. Giant should make the pharmacy accessible via an internet browser if they are not going to make an App that is functional. It pains me to write this but Giant Pharmacy developers could learn some things from Walgreens. I had Walgreens for years and while their App frequently has issues or does not work at all, at least you could log into their website and address most of your pharmacy needs. Not so with Giant Pharmacy, which when it works is the most rudimentary of applications. The in store pharmacists told me do not bother with the App, just call the store.
