### 4/5 — Higher quality exports would make this app perfect

*2023-07-24, version 3.6.7*

It’s a fantastic bare bones app if you want to make straightforward gifs, however the export size is very small so text won’t look good. Can we get maximum export size to match the average phone screen size?

### 2/5 — Needs update please

*2021-02-01, version 3.6.7*

Can’t save gifs anymore because the check mark is behind the battery & wi-fi indicators of the iPhone screen. Please update this app... it was my fav.

### 3/5 — Loved it til my iPhone 12 w notch

*2020-12-24, version 3.6.7*

Seems like critical buttons are in the notch area in the iPhone 12 (I assume X and 11) screen. Pretty sad because I loved this app. All the newer gif programs seem to require monthly payments (?! Really ?!) would gladly pay more to have it fixed. Help us developer!

### 2/5 — nice idea, not the best execution.

*2019-08-29, version 3.6.7*

saves as a really poor quality.

### 3/5 — Blurry

*2019-04-24, version 3.6.7*

The pics I uploaded were perfectly clear but when I uploaded them, the gif came out SUPER blurry.

### 4/5 — What The

*2019-03-09, version 3.6.7*

Thank you for making this application
Love it

### 2/5 — The saved video gif is low def

*2019-02-09, version 3.6.7*

I was really excited to see the resulting gif/video I created from 30 or so stop-motion photos. The ‘GIF preview’ showed the photos at full resolution, but the saved version is low definition at best. If the developer can explain a setting I may have missed, or fix this issue, I will change my rating.

### 2/5 — Horrible export quality

*2018-12-16, version 3.6.5*

I really like this interface. It’s pretty intuitive and it does give you a good gif making experience but then...all the time you spend making your gif goes to waste because of the horrible export quality even of you select “large gift image size” in settings. I regret paying for this app when there are other similar free apps that give you the same poor quality results.

### 3/5 — Higher image quality would make this a perfect app

*2018-11-06, version 3.6.5*

Love the many features and ease of use but the final gif/video quality is so low that Giffer gifs are virtually unshareable on social media, which is my main reason for making gifs.

### 2/5 — iphoneX video to gif

*2018-08-15, version 3.6.5*

My main use case is saved video to gif. Giffer makes you clip it down, but you can only clip from the end, not the front of the video. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a way to increase the quality or size of gifs. Was hoping for quite a bit more control of this and less on camera tools.

### 2/5 — Wish it worked

*2018-04-21, version 3.6.5*

It will not work with a 'burst' mode of iPhone photos. I took 36 pictures of our dogs playing and we tried and tried to get it to work, even with the app writer, Taber, giving me tech support help. I did not ask for my $4 back, as I am going to try it with 2 or 3 photos, but not downloaded first.

So instead, I made a movie of the 36 dog pictures with iMovie. I hope they have an update, so that you can use this app for already downloaded pictures, it certainly would be fun.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Fixes needed StAT

*2022-12-25, version 3.6.7*

Can’t save GIFs, can’t browse photos, it went from a 5 to a 1.

### 1/5 — Usless

*2021-03-03, version 3.6.7*

I paid for pro. The app will not let me add anything except one single-shot photo. Useless. No instructions.

### 1/5 — Nicht für iPhone 12

*2021-02-07*

Leider sind einige Bereiche noch nicht für das iPhone 12 (und ggf. andere) angepasst. Die App lässt sich dann nicht mehr bedienen. Die Entwickler-Seite zeigt einen Fehler und ist nicht erreichbar.
Some Screens are not optimized for iPhone 12. App becomes unusable. Developer page is broken.

### 1/5 — No Instruction

*2021-01-30, version 3.6.7*

Paid $2.99 for no results. Then it needed to access my camera to work.

### 1/5 — I need a refund. Doesn’t work on the 11 pro max.

*2020-01-24, version 3.6.7*

Pointless when the UI is designed for an iPhone 6. Why can’t I just edit existing gifs? Not a linear editor. Just what a refund

### 1/5 — Unusable on the iPhone 11

*2019-10-29, version 3.6.7*

I used to love this app, but it’s not optimized for the iPhone 11 Pro, and it’s impossible to tap the check mark to save a gif. If I can’t save a gif after creating it, the app is useless.

### 1/5 — Access Code

*2018-12-25, version 3.6.5*

I wish it had an access code feature to get into it or Touch ID.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2018-08-20, version 3.6.5*

No matter what I do the images come out blurry - for a pro version of an app its not acceptable - don’t waste your money!

### 1/5 — Terrible quality output

*2018-08-17, version 3.6.5*

.

### 1/5 — It could be better

*2018-07-07, version 3.6.5*

It’s great that it can put photos into gifs but the quality of it decreases immensely, making me not want to share them due to the lack of quality compared to the photos taken originally. There is room for improvement for sure

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — YES!

*2024-02-17*

YES! Absolute YES!

### 5/5 — Best of the lot.

*2023-06-01, version 3.6.7*

Could render better. My only complaint

### 5/5 — Simple and effective gifs…

*2022-10-02, version 3.6.7*

This app is extremely easy to use for creating and editing gifs and short movies. Good fun and does what it says without bells and whistles. Recommended.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-05-08, version 3.6.7*

Where can I find my previous gifs made with this app?

### 5/5 — Clean and efficient, no nonsense

*2019-04-08, version 3.6.7*

Been looking for a decent gif making app for ever. I really like this one so far.

### 5/5 — Schnell

*2019-03-21*

Funktioniert klasse

### 5/5 — Simple to use

*2018-12-28, version 3.6.5*

Never had a problem using this on any iOS version.

### 5/5 — Works for me

*2018-12-24, version 3.6.5*

I have an iPhone 6 and I am not having any problems with this. It auto saves all images and the gif to your phone so there’s no need to look for a “save to photos” button. Just export and click finish. The quality is fine.

### 5/5 — Best of the lot.

*2018-01-26, version 3.6.5*

Could render better. My only complaint

### 5/5 — Extra, but extraordinary

*2017-10-17, version 3.6.2*

I can't figure out how to save and send working GIFs with the camera roll. That leaves a niche Giffer fills neatly, and does it well. I have never had a problem with it.
