But right now also Deserves 1. *2023-05-26* For obvious reasons, it deserves 5 because it did it’s job. As a user for over 2 years I’ve never once came across an issue until now! Hence why I’m so annoyed I wish I could be ignorant enough to give it 1 star. So I came to a middle ground. Now if this problem persists for any much longer it’ll be at 1 star (we’ve been suffering with the inability to download our videos for well over a month now) ### 2/5 — Awful as no app support and app no longer works! *2023-05-11* The app used to be great (except for the short videos limitations) but has just stopped working and will no longer save gifs or videos. Contacted support and they are pretty much useless and seem not to care. Their only suggestion was an automated email saying to update the app, meanwhile the app is up to date, and impossible to get another response from them. ### 3/5 — Good for the most part *2023-04-30* I’ve been using this app for the past few months now to download gifs and videos on Twitter, and up until a few weeks ago, it’s been working great. However, as of recently, any and all gifs and videos are unable to be saved to Gifitize, no matter what I try. I don’t know if this is a global issue, but it kind of defeats the purpose of the app if everything fails to save. ### 3/5 — It’s my favorite but… *2023-04-14* it’s the best app to save gifs on twitter! or so i thought? sometimes there will be problems saying it was an unsuccessful save, and then sometimes it just saves a video from a tweet someone qrted w a gif. that was my recent observation. if that makes sense? a well with how all my gifs i’m trying to save are sent to the videos side and not the GIFS when its clearly a GIF. so now i have to convert it to gifs…which annoys me and i see no purpose to even have this app if i have to go to a site and covert everything i have downloaded. ### 4/5 — Good app but bad ad interface. *2021-03-13, version 3.2* A good app. This app is better than using download bots on Twitter. But there’s only one complaint. There are some ads in this app that could be impossible to skip because the X button is impossible to press or off-screen on some devices like the iPhone 11 ### 2/5 — Not working anymore *2021-01-13, version 3.2* This was a good app up until the point where recently it says “unable to download gif” no matter the browser, site, or app I try to download the gif from. I’ve updated it and made sure the app had full access in my phone settings but still not working. Probably just going to delete it at this point. ### 3/5 — Mid *2020-12-18, version 3.1* The FPS of all gifs is cut in half which isn’t the biggest problem since I mainly use this for vids but sometimes when you got to save a video it’s it doesn’t work and the error message pops up “Gifitize is unable to save this video”. I just found it super hilarious the the explanation for the app not working is basically “just cause lol”. Uninstalled ### 4/5 — Perfect with a little more work. *2020-12-18, version 3.1* If you’ve updated your phone and you get the error message saying it can’t be saved just uninstall/redownload gifitize again, then go on Twitter and hold down on any picture and click save to photos, the option to allow access to your photos should come up and everything will work again after you allow access. Had to troubleshoot for two days to figure that out haha. Great app otherwise! ### 2/5 — Extremely glitchy crashes other apps *2020-12-09, version 3.0.9* I’ve had to stop using Gifitize and just screen record my videos. I use this app mostly for Twitter and it will try to save a gif for at one time 12 minutes it doesn’t let you stop/cancel the save process and either crashes the app on its on or forces you to close out the app. If you’ve used this app you know it’s extremely inconvenient especially if you were reading something from hours before. I almost bought the ad free version because at other times it’ll tell you your que is full when it actually isn’t they just want you to watch the ads. During the several times this app didn’t want to save the gif if I went and watched an ad magically the gif would save. It twirls so long it doesn’t even allow you to report the problem it just crashes the whole app. When it works it’s good but it doesn’t work so frequently that it’s not worth the upgrade or even having at times ### 4/5 — Not working *2020-10-28, version 3.0.9* After I upgraded to IOS 14 I cannot use my video memes or gifs on my Twitter anymore I really been supporting this app for a few years and I really hope the developers fix this issue. This is a 5 star app to me and I want to continue to entertain my timelines on my social media pages. ### 4/5 — it works good, now *2020-10-12, version 3.0.9* i recently upgraded to ios and had some issues with this app not working. i believe i fixed it myself. the problem was i could not download any gif or video from twitter anymore. but it was adult stuff which requires you to accept the risk of seeing something shocking by clicking an Okay button. since most apps use Safari as the way to handle web content i tried logging into twitter in safari and after that everything with this app started to work again. developers, please update your error msg to inform users to try this fix. would do five stars here if i hadn’t had this problem. think i will buy the app ad free version to show my support. thank you for this very useful app! ### 5/5 — This app is a lifesaver! *2020-06-10, version 3.0.8* I’ve had this app for a couple of years now and it has saved me so much time searching for videos and gifs, now I can just save them directly to my phone! I’ve never had a problem and use it daily ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work *2023-06-29* i had this app for four years and it worked decently. it glitched a couple times and the quality of the videos would sometimes be unclear, but it worked. Last month i noticed that it always says “Unable to save this gif” to twitter videos when i attempted to save them. I tried deleting everything i had on the app, and even deleting the app itself and then redownloading it again. It doesn’t work anymore. Don’t waste your time with this app, just screen-record it and save your time. ### 1/5 — Just go ahead and delete it *2023-05-06* This app used to work amazingly. Now every gif or video on Twitter shows a “Unable to save this gif — [Report] [OK]” regardless of whether you update, uninstall/reinstall, or quit and reopen the Gifitize app numerous times, it still never works anymore. Synchronize a bummer that I have to find a new gif saver app because I really did love this app back when it actually worked. It stopped working with Twitter. I sent reports through Twitter which went unanswered and I came to the App Store to get help & the the web help doesn’t work. I can’t download anything anymore, i just get a pop up saying i can’t download the video/gif. And a few reviews said they ran into a problem where they HAD to pay?? I don’t get it. You could save links of gifs and videos easily and if the cache was full you download and start again. But one day it stopped working. Saying Unsuccessful - couldn’t save my gifs. I thought it was because I had too many and needed to purchase the upgrade. I thought, I get great use out of this, so I purchased the upgrade. Guess what???? It didn’t change a thing, except take my money. I kept getting the can’t save message. A pop up said report or cancel. I pressed report, report report. I received an email that showed me “a fix” which was what I was already doing to save. Nothing worked. I’m so sad. Saving the gifs was my happy place and now it’s no longer. You broke my heart...💔 ### 1/5 — Update: June 8 *2019-06-09, version 3.01* Last update caused many to to hate this app, as before it was free and you can download as many videos and gifs as you want. Soon they updated it last week and ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WASN'T FREE ANYMORE! You can only save 5 videos max and that’s just so aggravating. I really enjoyed the app more when it was free and you can save as many video and gifs as you want. Recent update June 7 or 8 they changed the max to 10 which is no better than how the app was before (unlimited downloads). I don’t know what makes the creator think that making someone pay for something TO DOWNLOAD VIDEOS will be okay. I honestly would waste my time on that because why make the app free then you have to pay for it. Not my cup of tea. I honestly wish this app was back to normal before the three new recent updates.
