Why get the app? It’s litterally just a link to the website... just go to the site! No need to download the app lol

This looks like a forgotten project. Features that are shown in the above aren’t seen when the app is open. All it provides is a link to the website login and how to hookup the browser extension, that’s it. You can’t edit a wish list or add items via this app. Kinda useless 🤷🏻‍♀️

You can’t actually add/view items through the app, it just adds a browser extension and provides you with a link to your list through their site. There are also a TON of glitches. Often times the item name and amount are not correct. For example - I added an item from a third party site for $24.99. It was unable to upload a picture, listed the site as Pinterest and the amount as $3200.00. I am also unable to user the browser extension to link things through Etsy. It says it links, but the items never appear on the list.

Support questions were no help. The app only allows log in and log out? No lists or anyway to make a list. Filled instructions and shared items to the app but can’t see any?

The app does nothing. It has some instructions on how to use the site, and has a link to redirect you to the site, which the app does not even manage to sign you into. This is just a waste of phone space

The app needs some more work to function smoothly. It’s basically a browser extension rather than an actual app. 

My main problem with this is that when you add something to your list it often appears as “name not found” with no picture and monetary value on the listing. If you’re going about this like I am, you’re just adding items one after the other. So when I find my list filled with “name not found” it’s disappointing. It’s not reliable at all.

I wanted to download the app so I can keep that open, while searching for gifts on my safari app and easily add them to my list. This app doesn’t do anything. My expectations for what the functionality should be were already extremely low, and this couldn’t even meet those.

GiftHero.com is a wonderful site, but this app is a waste of time. All you can do is add things to your own list. 
It would be really great if it could do what the website does, but it doesn’t.

I first found gift hero so that I can make a wish list that isn’t based on Amazon. However, both the website and the app are so impossible to use… I’ve already committed to it this year, but I won’t be using it again. First, it takes ages to upload your link, I’m talking minutes. If it does finally make it past the loading zone… It often pulls the incorrect information or no information at all. I’m not sure if this is an old app… If they have anyone working on it? It just needs some updates.

This app doesn’t do anything. You have to use the website to do anything. The screen shots do not reflect what the app actually looks like. On an iPhone Pro Max the text is so large it goes off the screen.

This app is just what I wanted. A no fuss wish list that really works with any website (and not just a select few). It’s super easy to use and now I can easily share things to my various lists straight from safari on my iPad. I’m in the UK and initially couldn’t download the app as it wasn’t showing as available in my region. I messaged the Gift Hero team and they fixed it super fast. So far it’s pretty great!

I. Just want to start adding items into my wish list but it won’t let me get past the tutorial page even after I complete reading it. 

Creators, please fix this bug i would love to add items from shoppings apps like SHEIN, ZAFUL. 
Or even the shopping apps like Sephora and Lush, Sally Hanson. 

Also adding cute little sounds when you succeed adding an item or maybe let individual change their background imagine from that blue one?

I think other reviewers have missed the point of this app; it’s a go-between so you can use the browser extension in the “share” menu. It’s not meant to function like the website. That is accessible through safari and it works just fine.

This app does exactly what it is supposed to, and is required to save items from Safari on iPhones since you must have an app to “share” websites with anything other than what Apple provides by default. Another quirk of Safari is that the GiftHero app will only show as a share option for new Safari windows created after this app is installed. 

So for anyone that thinks the app doesn’t do anything, follow the instructions in the app with a *new* browser window. Then you’ll see the app does its job very well!

So I downloaded this app and it took awhile to sign in. I immediately created some wish lists, but when I went to my favourite shopping app, Shein, there was no option to add to Gift Hero. Looking onto Amazon, it had an option, but it just said it would process my item and then add it. It never showed up on my lists. I discovered I could copy links and copy them into my lists, but it took a while. Also, it kept putting the price into $, but I’m English and use £. After changing the settings to £, it would still show up as $. It’s a struggle, so wouldn’t recommend to young people.

I love the app gift hero, but in the ups and downs, I would give a down for some reasons. I will state my opinions POLITELY, in a way to show that I really care and I am not trying to be mean in any sort of way to hurt you

here are some reasons why:

1. you have to go to their browser in order to add gifts to your wishlist and you can’t do it on the app. Like what’s the point of having an app for it if you can only do it on the browser?

2. if you go on the browser, you have to log in every 10 minutes and whenever you enter, you have to log in to your account and you can’t just be in your account like you were before logged in

I know, I am not trying to be mean, but I saw some other complaints about what some of what I mentioned. I think that they use to have you do it on the app, not the browser but now they make you do it in the browser, and even worse, you have to keep on logging in whenever you enter the website. I can’t see any update being like that!! It’s more of an outdated version of an app that’s no longer there

If you have time, please read this and improve the app so it can be better again!! I would do anything if you would try your best to take the time to spend time working on making this app a better app like the way it use to be!!:)

I would’ve given the app 1 star, but gift hero is awesome. I don’t understand what’s happening in the Gift Hero IT department. The mobile website is beautifully designed and easy to use, something that most companies for some reason neglect, even exclusively online companies such as ebay and amazon. The app doesn’t make any sense. It installs a browser extension instead of just working like a normal app, and then the browser extension doesnt work.

The website is good but the APP it’s self needs some work. When downloading the app all it does is lets you have the opportunity to add to your wish list though your web browser but doesn’t show the actual wish list in the app.

Just downloaded this after creating a list on their website on my Mac, as I figured it would be helpful to add things on the go. 
Opened the app to find that all it does is add a share button option to easily add things from the browser, no option to view or edit your lists without going to the website.
