So far so good *2022-09-16, version 1.0.2* Update:Sept.16… friends of mine scheduled an airport run (Sept.15) p/u @ 5pm, app kept bumping them: 5:04, 5:19, 5:26, 5:34. They had to call a friend to get them to the airport on schedule. I have also found that mornings are best to get a quick ride, BEWARE, be done by noon. They have driver changes @ 12:30-2pm, SO DO NOT expect good service till after 2:30. Then you’ll be on the afternoon late schedule. THEY NEED MORE VEHICLES AND DRIVERS NOW!!! Or better yet: a real bus route PLUS the GIFT for door to door service. Update: changes are happening. I was told today (Aug9th) it’s best to schedule your ride the day before, because THE pre-scheduled are NOW the top priority. If you try to get a ride for now it IS NOW a 45-133 min wait. You also CANNOT schedule a ride for 2 hr from now. It is 7hr in advance! It’s great to have public transportation again. Let’s just hope that this will have the support to grow. Hoping the service stays as good as it is going. I could not independently use the drop-down controls to schedule a ride in advance or enter credit card info. There is no speech accessible way to know how far away the driver is once a ride is scheduled. Sometimes when I order a ride it’s says estimated time like 20 mins and then when I order it and it loads it says a hour or more. Or when I’m waiting it will do the time and it will just go up or stay the same. Like I order a ride says 30 mins I do something for like 15 mins it’s only changed by 5 mins ### 1/5 — Drivers need more training *2025-07-09, version 3.1.22* Very inaccurate wait time because of how careless the drivers are. The wait time will drop from 70 minutes to 2 minutes suddenly cause the driver decides to accept the ride 2 minutes before picking up the passenger instead of deciding ahead of time. This leaves the passenger no time to prepare (cause in the passengers mind the wait is 70 minutes!) and cancel the ride. It’s a trick cause if you cancel the ride after the driver accepts to pick you up, you get charged. With this trick the driver doesn’t have to drop you anymore but still gets paid 👏🏻 there’s so much rules for the passengers, zero rules for the drivers! ### 1/5 — Bad timing *2025-02-07, version 3.0.29* The time of arrival goes from an hour to here within seconds. Then the driver confirms you are there while you are scrabbling to get outside because they said they won’t be there for a hour. Never showed up. ### 1/5 — Ride times aren’t accurate *2023-01-18, version 1.0.2* Booked a ride for 4:00 and they didn’t get there till half hour later. This has happened more than once ### 2/5 — Cheap rides but inconsistent *2025-12-10* I’ve been using this app for about 4 months now, it’s super convenient if you need to get somewhere without having to spend a ton of money like uber. That’s the only thing I really like is that it is cheap. But the times are SUPER inconsistent. I use the app to get to work and so I schedule it ahead of time. Usually the day before. But somehow it always changes the time automatically from 3:30 PM to 3:59 PM a couple of hours before my ride. So then I have to cancel the ride and try scheduling it again only for it to tell me that all the seats are taken and to schedule it at an earlier time. But when I schedule it for earlier, it tells me the same thing. It’s super annoying and causes me to have to find a ride somewhere else which defeats the whole purpose of the app. ### 2/5 — ¿¡NO app support?! with IF GIFT or Downtowner! *2023-09-07* No one ever took a ride yet, so I can’t speak to that, but with these gas prices and the fact that I can’t delete the ACCOUNT now because it won’t let me without the password, which I apparently forgot to save, and there’s apparently NO APP SUPPORT WHETHER WITH DOWNTOWNER OR THE PEOPLE IN IDAHO FALLS who “run” the service, I AM SO DONE WITH THIS APP!!! Can’t change birthdate in the app once it’s in so I can’t change it from my uncle’s year (he doesn’t have a smart phone and was traveling to IF and might need a ride) to mine since I may try the service since these gas prices aren’t letting up!!! And the gal’s big solution (when I called the number in IF) is to just delete the app. But I know from experience in Nampa-Caldwell with VRT’s “on-demand” app (that rarely even allows my people to schedule a ride, even for HOURS AT A TIME WHEN THEY’RE OPEN) that deleting the app isn’t the solution. Then I won’t be able to even try but I’m going to call and ask if they can change the birthdate or if they can just ACTUALLY delete the account, but I already know the answer from the dog and pony show for the “on-demand” service that I and my people have had extensive experience with!!! There’s still NO actual customer service to change any settings or reset the password in the app and NO SERVICE AVAILABLE if I call and want to request help with those things! It shouldn’t be this hard to click a couple buttons and prompt a valid password reset option! There should be no waiting for a call back, etc. And between them and apple App Store I’ve had it up to my eyeballs with this going in circles nonsense!!! The App Store deletes your drafted review when you have the “ nerve” to switch to another screen to verify something for the review, and then apple’s own App Store review page (this one lol) also doesn’t register apple’s speech to text option like “every” 3rd party app, even though it’s an apple (first party) app!!! SO THIS IS WHY I AVOID MOST APPS!!! Fight the power! They’re trying to force everyone (even those with visual impairments and who are seniors and TRIED A BIGGER BUTTON NONSMART FLIP PHONE AND WEREN’T SUCCESSFUL WITH IT!) to use apps and become compliant robots! I’m not saying do anything violent EVER because the vengeance is the Lord’s and the Lord will repay, and yet He states repeatedly through His word that He does NOT revel in death as much as in love and faithfulness and obeying Him in love and trust! But seriously! You don’t “need” this crap! You can call their number and schedule and reschedule and cancel rides. Some of us are more visual learners and seeing what’s happening can be essential, but most people who understand basic maps, or at least “know” the areas where they go (or want to go), can get by without this app and most others if you don’t “need” much of anything of this world and aren’t a robot mentality who can’t or won’t consider that there are usually multiple ways to solve problems. All the differently-abled people I know (seniors or not) know this is true and do it consistently because life is full of challenges and problems to be solved. ### 2/5 — Not so good anymore! Adding to this: has a few glitches (to be expected) ### 2/5 — Don’t use the app; call instead *2022-07-13, version 1.0.2* I arrived at the airport and had already downloaded the app. I didn’t schedule a ride in advance because I was worried the plane would be delayed and I would miss it. Got on the app and requested a ride; it said it would be 2 1/2 hours. I debated doing Uber instead but for the same ride it would have been $23, and I wasn’t in a huge rush, so I sat there and kept checking to see if it would update. After 45 minutes the estimated arrival was still the same, and I decided to call to see if the phone operator could arrange a driver faster than the app. 7 minutes later — not hours later — I was picked up. Skip the app and just call instead! 5 star ride, 1 or 2 star app. Needs some work. But the ride was great, the driver was great, and I would do it again. However, in a friendly conversation with the driver, I learned that the software that supports the drivers is inconsistent at times. This results and frustration for the drivers because they know that there are in efficiencies happening. I hope that the supervisor level doesn’t have such a heavy reliance on software that they’re not listening to the humans or trying to resolve the glitches. We’ll do it again. ### 5/5 — Great service to the community *2022-12-16, version 1.0.2* I just found out about this and love it ### 5/5 — Great, but some changes should be made *2022-11-09, version 1.0.2* I am unable to drive, and this service has been a lifesaver. I’ve used it since June, and have had very few issues. I would recommend this in a heartbeat if someone asked. However, there are some design choices that I question. 1: Ability to schedule rides is lost if you use Ride Now. I assume this is due to some backend that would be a bit difficult to replace, but if it isn’t, there isn’t any reason to disallow users to schedule future rides while riding. Unnecessarily taking features from users when there isn’t a reason to is frustrating for some. 2: Ride Now provides FAR more information than scheduled rides. When using Ride Now, you are given a rough estimate of when a driver will be in your area, and when a driver is assigned, you get an exact ETA, and a map that pings your driver. When using scheduled rides, you get nothing. No ETA, no map. All you get is a notification that the driver is on the way. I really can’t find a way to justify depriving information from scheduled rides, especially since scheduled rides are preferred to ride now. 3: Post daylight savings, scheduled ride times are displayed in pre-daylight savings time. If I schedule a ride for 2:15, it will display at 3:15, but the ride will still pick up at 2:15. 4: Email support is non-existent. I had an issue scheduling rides during the night when the phone lines were closed. I emailed them asking for help, and to this day have not received an email back. This can be an issue, especially for someone with a disability. Considering that there is a button dedicated to emailing, this needs to be utilized in the future. ### 5/5 — Excellent price and service *2022-09-22, version 1.0.2* So grateful to have an affordable, efficient service in the area.
