## What is GIFTIT?

GIFTIT is a quiet little atelier for the most human of habits: noticing something someone would love, and remembering it until their day arrives.

ADD THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE
Give each person a profile — their birthday, the days they celebrate, the things they're into, sizes, notes, and a yearly budget if you like. GIFTIT supports celebrations across many faiths and cultures: Christmas, Diwali, Eid al-Fitr, Hanukkah, Lunar New Year, Mother's and Father's Day, Valentine's, anniversaries and more — plus any custom day you invent.

IDEAS FIND THEIR OWN OCCASION
Jot a gift idea the moment it strikes. GIFTIT automatically threads it onto the right upcoming occasion for that person — a precious idea waits for a major day, a small one lands on the next celebration. You can always override with a tap.

ONE LUMINOUS TIMELINE
The Upcoming screen gathers every occasion for everyone you love onto a single thread of days, soonest first, each showing how ready you are. No more mental arithmetic in the gift-wrap aisle.

THE FULL LIFE OF A GIFT
Idea to got it to wrapped to given. Track each stage with a satisfying tap, watch budgets fill elegantly, and keep a quiet ledger of your own generosity.

REMINDERS THAT RESPECT YOU
Choose your lead times — 21, 14, 7, 3 days or the day before. Gentle nudges, never more than one a day, so nothing arrives late.

MADE TO BE LOOKED AT
GIFTIT is drawn in aurora light: a 3D gift that turns softly on your home screen, glassy cards, serif headlines, tiny haptics and glass-chime sounds. Nightfall and Daybreak themes included. It feels less like a database and more like a keepsake.

EXTRAS, FOR WHEN IT'S MORE THAN ONE PERSON
• Secret Santa — draw names with everyone in one place, and nobody sees who has who.
• Chip in together — buy one bigger present between you, everyone looking at the same list.
• Couples mode — drop each other hints all year, and never let on which ones you've sorted.
• Your wishlist — one link for everyone who asks. They can see what's taken, you never can.
• The sky that night — pick a place and a night and we'll print the stars that were over it.

SPARKS (OPTIONAL ONE-TIME UNLOCK)
When you're stuck, summon six tailored gift ideas woven from a person's interests, the occasion and your budget — thirty sparks a month, one payment, yours forever.

AUTOPILOT (OPTIONAL ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION)
Autopilot costs £9.99 per year. For that year it watches every occasion for everyone on your lists and puts three gift ideas on a person's list 14 days before each of their days — without you asking, and without spending a spark. Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase. It renews for another year at the same price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the year ends, and you can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple subscription settings.

GIFTIT works fully without an account — sign in only if you want your people backed up or want to plan a gift together with someone.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-08-30

Sharing reaches everyone now. A link you send opens properly whichever phone your friend has, so an invite, a chip-in or a Secret Santa lands with the person you sent it to instead of stopping at a message telling them they can't join.

Underneath, reminders now behave the same way on every phone, and Autopilot is more careful about confirming your subscription has renewed rather than assuming either way. Nothing has moved, and nothing you have saved has changed.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-29

GIFTIT does a great deal more than remember birthdays now.

Wishlists. Write down what you would actually like and hand out one link. Anyone who opens it can quietly claim something, so nobody buys the same present twice.

Group chip-ins. Put a bigger present in the middle and let everyone put something towards it. You can see who is in and how close you are.

Secret Santa. Names are drawn properly and nobody can peek. You can reach into the hat yourself rather than wait for the draw, and there is a version for workplaces with no limit on how many people join.

For couples. Drop each other hints about what you would like, and neither of you can tell what the other has already sorted.

Cards. GIFTIT will write the card for you in your own voice, in one of ten handwritings, and you can change every word before it goes.

Star map posters. Pick a place and a night and we will print the sky that was over it and post it to you.

Anniversaries now sit beside birthdays, and the app counts the years for you.

Left it late? One tap and you are only shown things that can still arrive in time.

Give someone a spark and you both get one.

Every December, GIFTIT shows you the year you just gave.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-22

Invite links open properly. Sharing a list sometimes ended in “check your connection” even when the connection was fine — the app was holding on to a sign-in that had quietly expired. It now refreshes and tries again, so the link lands on the list it was meant to.

Sharing reads more clearly. The share screen now explains how planning together works, and nothing else.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-20

Little polish, big difference:

- Pasting a shop link now fills in the gift's name, photo and price far more reliably.
- Gift photos now show the whole item instead of a zoomed-in crop.
- Collapsed idea lists on a person's page now stay collapsed when you come back.
- The name you set on your profile now shows up properly when friends find you.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-19

Deleted gifts stay deleted. Removing a gift or a person now clears it from your backup too, so it can no longer come back the next time your phone syncs.

Invite by link. Share a link to plan gifts together — it opens GIFTIT if your friend already has it, and points them to the App Store if they don’t.

Fold occasions away. Tap an occasion on someone’s page to collapse it, so a long list of birthdays and Christmases stays easy to read.

A way out of reminders. The reminders screen now has a close button at the top, instead of one hidden at the very bottom.
