I’ve used it for three years now and even despite its bugs, it’s by far the best gift planning app I’ve used. I love being able to share links directly to the app which then imports the gift for me, and I love that you can track the status of the gift all the way from when it’s an idea, to when you purchase it, when it’s shipping, when you receive it, when you wrap it, and when you gift it. I love being able to add all the people in my life into the app and have it automatically keep up to date with whose birthdays are up next, and I love the filtering options for when you actually view all the gifts. The budgeting is also super helpful, and I love that I get a view of how much money has been spent per person since I can easily get carried away! I have a list of bugs that I’d be happy to pass on to the developers (if this app is still worked on) but even with the bugs, I am a faithful and adoring user!! I have tried every comparable gift planning app on the App Store and none even come close to how useful this one is. I’m someone with ADHD whose love language is gift-giving, so being able to organize all my gift ideas in one place is invaluable. I truly cannot put into words how much I appreciate this app and how perfectly it fits my needs. I am over the moon that GiftPlanner exists and so happy to be using it. Thank you to the developers for building out a great user experience and wonderful app!! I’ll try sending an email with the bugs I’ve noticed and some feature ideas/requests, but even if this app never gets another update, I will be a user for life. ### 2/5 — Used to be good *2024-12-21, version 3.4.5* This used to be a great gift planner app but has fallen short the last couple of years. I’m not surprised that it hasn’t been updated in 2 years. The scan for the import & pictures hasn’t worked in years meaning I have to add all my gifts manually. It doesn’t update for annual holidays that have dates that move (Hanukah/Easter) so I have to find them & add them every year. Also, the Stores page is uneditable. When I add a new store with its name & hit save, it just adds it without the name. So I have a bunch of blank stores. And there is no way to edit them or merge duplicates. Like I said, this used to be a great way to track gist’s & ideas. And I have years of data in it that I don’t want to loose. But I just may have to cut bait & try a different gift app. ### 4/5 — Comprehensive! *2024-04-09, version 3.4.5* This app looks a bit old fashioned and the interface could be improved but it has a lot of functionality, does nearly everything I’d like. The developer is extremely responsive to questions which is fantastic. ### 4/5 — Amazing app please read *2024-02-05, version 3.4.5* This app is really good and easy to use First off when you make people and you put in a gift it then gives you the ability to look up links to that thing you are searching when I was putting in a gift for my cat Misty it gave me a link and I found the perfect toy for her and it matches all her needs but I have one thing I think could improve this app you need to make a dislike button and a allergic button too that way when it gives you a link it hopefully won’t give you something that won’t have one of he or she’s dislikes or allergies thank you for reading ### 4/5 — great app *2023-12-02, version 3.4.5* it does not sync well between iPhone and iPad. You can transfer an idea into a gift but I would love to be able to revert a gift back to an idea. It’s the only gift app I’ve found that tracks for events other than Christmas, tracks budget, able to import from a URL Two years ago, my data of 4 or so years got wiped somehow and I couldn’t find the backup. Even though I have a pro upgrade and have mine set to sync (logged in with my email address), that didn’t help restore data either. I am using the app again and just starting from scratch since every other app I’ve tried has such limited features. I added a few contacts and gifts and tried syncing with my iPad, but that wiped the data from my phone, so I just do a backup to file every day when I’m using it often. There is no family sharing ability with a pro account. Also, I created a passcode to hide certain people a long time ago, but have since forgotten the password and there doesn’t seem to be a way to reset it. It would be great if there was an option to print your lists Even with these shortcomings, it’s the only app I’ve found that’s as thorough in features. Hopefully Andrew will get the issues resolved. I have email info for him since I beta tested years ago, so I have tried contacting him that way. 🤞🏻 ### 3/5 — Need Support. Good Gift Tracking app if helped *2022-12-16, version 3.4.4* I can’t seem to contact the developer or get help through the app. How can I see Archived gifts? I searched within the app, and I don’t see an option to view archived gifts. I would like to be able to see all gifts to certain people. Gifts (future and past) are not appearing under people I know I had recorded such gifts. Great idea and good app if I am able to get support and to view all gifts to people so I can track historical info. Now it will not sync across Apple devices. We used the same email so my wife and I could add presents for our kids. Three years ago it would sync just fine and update. The last two years the sync just hangs and doesn’t work. With the simplified version here, the app user can quickly-quickly scroll down the name (s) listing with ease to get to a particular name or names. This methodology basically works the same way as the Contacts app as far as organizing things. ### 1/5 — Used for a couple years but now no support *2023-01-22, version 3.4.5* Loved this app for a couple years … but now it’s super glitchy and the tech support seems to have vanished and is no longer answering concerns.
