And the Help links were not helpful at all. You can’t add it to a Google or Apple wallet either. You can no longer check your balance, it said it would add five dollars for first time activation and it didn’t—even though I had a gift card to a nationally recognized vendor. It doesn’t offer an option to create an account and password for easy login, and when I tried to figure out how to login to the app, it got stuck in a loop sending text verification codes and never actually allowed me to login. Their website says there’s an option for an egiftcard. There is not. They charge you a processing fee and when they refund your money- they keep it- you don’t even get a full refund. This is the most ridiculous idea. It’s not user friendly. Don’t waste your time. I’d give zero stars if I could. ### 1/5 — ⚠️⚠️THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY⚠️⚠️ *2025-12-14, version 3.117.0* I purchased a $35 Amazon Gift Card for a friend of mine, but when attempting to activate the "gift," it immediately stated that "something went wrong." We tried everything to activate the gift: phone number, email, secondary email, another phone number, and etc. However, nothing worked in the end so we requested a refund and it stated to wait 3-5 business days. THE VERY NEXT DAY, luckily this was a VISA gift card purchasing the Amazon gift card, I see that an unauthorized transaction of $35 and some change on TIKTOK SHOP was completed WITH my VISA gift card. Safe to say, they steal your card, use as much money as they can, and never give you anything they promised. In order to see the gift card, I needed to give my phone number and email. Then, I couldn’t redeem the card from the website and needed to download an app. From the app, I chose to have the money zelled to me, which have a 4% fee attached. Also, I had to put in an address in order to receive the money. Overall terrible experience because of how complicated it is, the information required to redeem my gift, and the fees attached to receiving my money. I was able to access it initially. When I when back to my text to scan and use it, it was no longer available. I emailed them, we talked a few times over the phone and they could not retrieve my gift card because for whatever reason I wasn’t getting the codes. I had to wait a week for a gift card in the mail that was made available through text in the beginning. Then the guy on the phone lied and said I would never had a been able to use the e gift card because they don’t have those it always would have sent me a card in the mail. Which is a lie because the website clearly says access your e-gift card through text. The redemption options are provided at the time of purchase as well. We do show that we have processed a Visa card which has shipped to you. ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever *2025-07-13* So my neice asked me to get her something earlier and I decided to send her a gift card which she couldn’t use as an egift card and had to be sent by zelle or converted in other ways. The zelle was sent hours ago and still hasn’t been received. I tried to get chat support but that makes absolutely no sense. If the zelle payment isn’t received by midnight, I’m going to dispute through paypal. You should make it clear that this isn’t an egift card and the amount of added stress isn’t worth it plus you pay a service fee to purchase the card then $3.99 to send the zelle that’s highway robbery! **Developer response:** We are sorry to read about your experience. I was told to redeem the gift card I received, but it requires a VISA card unlike other gift cards. I redeemed my gift card to my VISA card, and the app said I could shop with it. However, when I went to a merchant to buy something, my card was declined even though it was not over the limit. I tried to request a refund, but they refused, and the customer service is terrible, it’s mostly just chatbots. Follow the steps provided to redeem the gift card for the other user. Takes 15 seconds and all customized. ### 5/5 — GiftYa easy to use *2024-03-03* We received an ecard for a merchant we don’t use. It was extremely easy to trade it for another merchant that we prefer. Plus, we added our credit card and got money added to our balance. We use our credit card for points all the time and prefer that method. GiftYa allows us to continue to use our credit card and it credits the gifted amount to our credit card after use.
