(Meaning a gif from the Finder being dragged into the app window to import—not the other way around, which does work). My original review: Drag and drop does not work. Frequently crashy when using the search engine. Despite these flaws, I still find it quite useful. ### 5/5 — Excellent app *2024-08-05* I have a large library, several gigabytes of gifs. And they work well with this app. I can scroll through them, share them, search for and download more. It’s a great way to maintain a gif library synced up with iPhone and iPad and cloud storage. The developer regularly updates it. **Developer response:** This is one of my favourite reviews. I give it five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 ### 2/5 — Desperately needs updates *2024-07-20, version 2023.2* This used to work with twitter, but doesn't anymore, so I've stopped using it. ### 3/5 — App doesn’t work after change from “Twitter” to”X” *2024-05-30, version 2023.2* This app used to be my go-to app for downloading gifs off Twitter (instead of bookmarking them). It had a few issues, but they were so minor it didn’t matter. However, after El*n Musk took over twitter, the links to the gifs have changed and therefore cannot be hosted or analysed by the app, rendering it useless. It’s a labor of love by an independent developer and not some side app from a corporation that they’ll give up on in a few years because it doesn’t make money, and that is something I really appreciate about it overall. It’s kept my favorite gifs available at the ready when things like the animated section of my photos app just collects anything that happens to be in .gif format. My family also uses GIFwrapped, and are very happy with it as well. I never write reviews but I’m so glad this app exists! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! Super easy to use and unlike GIPHY and tenor it ACTUALLY WORKS without freezing all the time. There’s also an iMessage app which is amazing and there’s iPad and Mac apps for an added bonus to keep everything synched! My favorite option is being able to copy a Gif from search engines like Google and Safari and paste them directly to the app! Although I wish it had live viewing like GIPHY, for those with a bigger storage to see the replay without having to click would be a great quality of life improvement(Neext update maybe🥺🙏) Also a keyboard option would be nice but not necessary.
