### 4/5 — Great

*2026-08-20*

I have had this App for a number of years and my advise is buy it to eliminate adds pop up’s and it requires a bit of patients to learn it but well worth the timev

### 4/5 — Good app, I use it every show.

*2025-12-10*

I don’t like that it returns to the beginning of the list should you select the wrong song in the “T”’s ( hypothetically ) alphabetically, …it goes all the way back to “A” and you have to scroll back to the T all over again.
Other times it duplicates a song entry so that you end up with two of the same song.
I would like to see more folder options to create for set lists.

I do like the app….over all, and I use it for every gig .

### 2/5 — Bitter sweet

*2024-11-29*

I love this App, I have been building my set lists for a few years and it works great.
I hate that they decided to add a subscription without notice. Got to jam session, opened it and I had to pay if I wanted to have my lyrics. Not a huge fan of the business model…

### 2/5 — Chargeable without notice

*2024-11-20*

This has been my go to app for 5 years. I logged on tonight to upload some lyrics and couldn’t. You now need to subscribe to the app. No notice given and hundreds of song already in the app. Costly for a basic but functional app…

### 2/5 — Great but suddenly started being a subscription

*2024-11-19*

Great app, wouldn’t be without it but cross that it’s suddenly a subscription service considering I paid money upfront 3 years ago.

**Developer response:** You don't have to pay again. Please tap 'Restore Purchase' on the launch screen and you will regain full access

### 5/5 — Review

*2024-11-16*

I would not be where I am today without GigHard. It is
Simply the best and look forward to another year of Bliss !
Thanks Guys and Girls
Tommy

**Developer response:** We appreciate your amazing feedback and are delighted to hear how much you enjoy using the app!

### 3/5 — Great scrolling but please add Bluetooth pedal support for scrolling

*2024-09-02*

Will give this app five stars when it is compatible with Bluetooth page-turning pedals like AirTurn. It’s a real pain playing guitar at a gig and having to repeatedly touch the screen mid song to stop or start songs. It’s such a vibe killer. Come on - all the other scrolling apps are pedal-compatible, but not this one. Please make it compatible with scrolling Bluetooth pedals for hands-free operation.

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2024-08-04*

I was looking for an easy to use app that didn’t require me to learn a bunch of stuff. The app is easy to figure out once you read the instructions and play with it. You can add lyrics, song, and playlists very easily. I paid for the upgrade. One time charge and it’s worth it. I just used the app tonight for the first time at a gig and I loved it. The only thing I would suggest is adding something where you can allow for a long intro but not lose the words or have to slow the scrolling way down. Otherwise, I’m loving the app and so glad I found it.

### 5/5 — LOVE THIS APP!

*2024-06-13*

This app is great for gigging! Autoscroll with co trolls me speed that gets remembered for each song, the upgrade to create set lists is totally worth it.

### 3/5 — An limited app with too many issues and so much unrealized potential

*2024-03-27, version 2.5.3*

ted. For example, if I'm in the import from Dropbox screen there are
I would say download the app and see if it meets your needs, clearly there are a lot of reviewers who love it. I may be cursed by being a UX developer of 25 years.

This app is generally "buggy" -- not in the sense of error screens but in UX behaviors that are problematic or illogical. Examples:

- it only accepts .txt files. it's frustrating to build my setlists in a rich editor (like Google Docs, Word, or even RTF files) and then be forced to export them as formatless text files. At a minimum it would be nice to allow PDFs because formatting would remain.

- after manually editing spaces out of an imported text setlist and going to Gig, then back, those spaces, and more, are added back

- almost every time I open the app and try to import from Dropbox, I click the import button and after the spinner goes away nothing happens -- just a blank screen. I have to "Log Off" and then try to import again, which causes an reauthorization and works

- the navigation buttons often do not work as expected. For example, if I'm in the import from Dropbox screen there are two buttons at the top: "Back" and "Done". Clicking "Done" does nothing on this screen, only "Back" works.

- the Gig feature (auto scroll) is a great concept but ultimately if you're gigging it's marginally useful because the scrolling happens at the same speed regardless of the length and speed of each tune (see below for a possible solution).

What could be:

- allow imports of formatted files like PDF, RTF or any type that allows keeping formatting (font size, bold, etc.)

- have some kind of song index available so that jumping to any tune in a set is a tap away

- fix the import process--if the only way you can figure it out is to force reauthorization each time then just force log us off and at least the "Import from Dropbox" button would do something.

- a monumental change would be to allow each song to have a BPM indicator so that the scrolling would match the actual song. Going further, special markup could tell the scroller to pause for a number of bars, for example where a solo goes. I realize that would require significant development. buttons at the top: "Back" and "Done". Clicking "Done" does nothing on this screen, only "Back" works.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cost

*2025-03-15, version 3.0*

I hardly gig hard but when I do it’s $5 a month now

### 1/5 — Blindsided

*2024-12-16*

I play in a band if four women all 60 and over. We’ve used the app
For almost two years. we play about 3-4 gigs a year, mostly benefits. without warning. It updated me automatically. fortunately, I told my band mates to not upgrade their app. I think it is rotten of them. If it were a one-time purchase, I’d buy it. now I’m looking for a different app.

**Developer response:** To continue supporting the app, we had to change the business model. Since we don't store any user data, there was no way to contact you. I'm so sorry! By the way, there is an option for a one-time purchase.

### 1/5 — Still not working

*2024-12-07*

Update screwed free users over …definitely not worth £4.99 a month for something filled with bugs ..need to lower the price

### 1/5 — Problems

*2024-11-23, version 3.4*

Way to glitchy for live performance.

### 1/5 — Forced subscription before my gig, this should be illegal

*2024-11-22*

I bought the pro upgrade for $40 months ago, and right as I was sound checking for a gig, it forced me to upgrade to their new yearly subscription plan after their recent app update, otherwise I was not going to be able to access my set lists that I had done earlier today. I did not have time to think because my gig was starting, so I bought the plan, but I’ve already bought the permanent upgrade before and have agreed to previous terms. Why am I not grandfathered in, and why was there no prompt or warning that this was going to happen? I do not write reviews, but I am so angry and genuinely may try to escalate this.

**Developer response:** You are grandfathered in and don't have to pay again. Please tap 'Restore Purchase' on the launch screen.

### 1/5 — The greed… charging customers twice

*2024-11-15, version 3.1*

I paid full price for this app years ago and suddenly I’m being charged again - and have been locked out of my lyrics until I fork out more money. What a scam. I detest greed.

### 1/5 — Honestly!

*2024-11-14, version 3.1*

I’ve been. Using this app for Years! I have hundreds of songs and set lists over the lifetime of me having the app. Then one day everything is locked and now you charge 40 dollars a year and give people no warning? Not cool!

### 1/5 — Still not working

*2024-11-13*

Update still not working

### 1/5 — Out of pocket

*2024-11-12*

I was enjoying the app on a free basis, but now I have st lots of time uploading my songs it has decided I can’t see them without paying for them! Angry!

**Developer response:** You don't have to pay again. Please tap 'Restore Purchase' on the launch screen and you will regain full access

### 1/5 — Subscription is absurd

*2024-11-12, version 3.0*

I used this app for over a year with the one time purchase and now it wants me to pay 5 bucks a month to even access it. I had to pay it just so I could go in a see all the songs and sets I had made and hopefully get them moved over to another app. So unbelievably disappointing. Way to ruin a great tool for small musicians.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Singer loves it

*2026-01-30*

I’ve been using GigHard for 2 seasons of live music and rehearsal. Easy to cooy and paste, easy to create Set list with specific notes on breaks etc. Great app

### 5/5 — Thank you.

*2025-01-10*

My go to app. Easy to use and great support. Responded to my question in about 20 min.
Love the app.

**Developer response:** We're so happy that it's your favorite and that you find it easy to use!

### 5/5 — Disappointing

*2024-12-26*

The app is fantastic with one exception, now that I have to pay a subscription, it requires internet every time I open it to check for valid subscription. What I would like to see is some sort of an annual certificate telling the app when my prepaid prescription ends so it doesn’t need to check for subscription except once a year since I am an annual subscriber and I pay up front.

**Developer response:** We fixed it. Thanks for reporting the bug. We're happy to see that otherwise, you love using Gig Hard!

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2024-12-11*

This app is an invaluable piece of kit for me as a singer in a band. I use it purely for lyrics, as a prompt in case I forget my lines, it’s easy to copy the lyrics over and edit to suit.I like that you can have it scrolling to suit the tempo of the song. I have the app on a few devices (always good to have a back-up) and had an issue recently whereby the 2 devices weren’t syncing with changes made. Support from the app creator was great and issue resolved quickly.

**Developer response:** We're thrilled you find it helpful. Thanks for sharing!

### 5/5 — Great for live performances

*2024-12-02*

I’ve been using this app for a while now. Finally got on the paid version. I’m loving the set list functionality. Support has been great!

### 5/5 — Gig hard

*2024-11-21*

Fantastic app. For musos, so easy to set up and arrange your songs into set lists, for when you are playing gigs.
Would highly recommend it

**Developer response:** We’re happy to hear you're enjoying the app for gig preparation! Your recommendation means a lot to us.

### 5/5 — The best lyrics app!

*2024-11-21*

This is, by far, the best app for scrolling lyrics. Adding songs and setlists is so easy! Paying the one-time fee to remove ads and unlock all the great features was a no-brainer. I love being able to record while scrolling lyrics. Also, be it simple questions about how to use the app, or needing bugs fixed, I can’t say enough about the customer support. My emails were answered promptly, and problems resolved quickly. Gig Hard makes every show run smoothly.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your amazing feedback! We're glad you find the app easy to use and appreciate our support team. Your satisfaction means everything to us!

### 5/5 — Great customer service

*2024-11-18*

I have used this app for a few years now. I paid the one time fee so no ads. It is a great tool for our band. We use it at least three times a week and it is very user friendly. On the odd occasion I have had a concern the customer service has been excellent. Very quick reply to my emails. Thank you Dante. I highly recommend this app.

**Developer response:** You're welcome! Thanks for giving us a chance to resolve the issue and we are delighted to hear how much you enjoy using the app!

### 5/5 — Love This App

*2024-11-17*

I am in a gigging band and have used this App. for approximately 10 years. Adding songs is simple and creating Set Lists is easy as well. Just create/name a Set List, select the songs from your list of songs, and move to the set list you’ve created. Easy-Peasy! Editing of songs and set lists is also easy. Scrolling and changing the speed of the scroll for each song is a great asset.
I have come across some glitches after some upgrades but I just contact support and explain my issue and I get feedback and assistance within a day. Problems are solved very quickly.
I love this App and the support it’s given me.

**Developer response:** We appreciate your amazing feedback and are delighted to hear how much you enjoy using the app!

### 5/5 — Brilliant
