I got it ages ago and it’s a very fun way to remind me and get me money I like how you can make avatars but personally I think you should be able to play games on it

I’ve been looking for an app to manage kids pocket money and incentive for chores. Gimi is the best of the bunch I’ve tested but would love to see some of the profile photo and chores bug fixes resolved as it doesn’t yet give a smooth user experience. Although I’m only able to use Demo accounts in UK but would be will to pay for an upgraded version

Unfortunately the app didn’t work for me in the U.S. I’ve seen a few other reviews say the same thing. I set up my account and was SUPER excited to start using this for my seven year old and start teaching him about budgeting and money. After initially setting everything up, it logged me out, and now I can’t get back in. The only way to log in is for them to send you a code to your phone and email, and no code ever arrives. I sent several emails for support and never received a reply. It’s a shame because the app itself seemed impressive enough.

Set up an account for myself and my son to help track his allowance. Worked fantastically, just logs you out randomly. And if you enter your mobile it won't send you an sms.

I keep getting logged out of my account after a few weeks, and when I click ‘Join/Log In’ it only lets me create a new account and cannot access my current one.

Not the most intuitive of apps to use. Also, you can’t make a mistake. Accidentally approved a chore and cannot undo that or the money that was added to the piggy bank because of that mistake. I really want to like this because I love the concept for my kids. Just make it more user-friendly.

The app is great in theory but thr weekly payday function doesn’t seem to work as it should and we are having to pay the money in manually. It therefore never resets to the original weekly amount after a week where they’ve earned extras. A bit confusing but we’ll stick with it and hope it sorts itself out at some point! Otherwise, we really like the app and it’s helped us get a grip on pocket-money and teaching the kids about saving and spending. 👍🏻

The app is fine and good but every time I I don't use it for a long time it logs me off. I can do the phone number right but i can't get through the code because I don't get sent the code, my mum gives me the code that has been sent to her phone but it works but it was on her account . Every time I long off I have to get a new account and I loose all my money 💰 last time I got over my dream and it took a long time

I love Gimi because now my mum doesn’t have to nag me anymore to do chores as I just do them 😋
It would be nice if you could make an update so you can text or call the person you have connected with,but otherwise,I love this and give it 5 stars!

Great app. Has helped me learn to save my money until I have enough to buy what I really want instead of buying something every time I have money. Had a little bit of difficulty with chores at first but eventually got them to work out. I recommend this to parents looking for a easy way to do chores without having to worry about payday and all that.

Great app for tracking money earned for chores, interest accrual, and kids’ responsibilities. However weekly chores that I spend 10 minutes creating are deleted after payday. I can’t waste spending 20 minutes each week to create chores over and over for two kids. PLEASE KEEP RECURRING CHORES IN THE CHILD’S CHORE LIST!

Also, there needs to be a batch approval option. Approving each chore one by one isn’t efficient. When each chore is approved the app gives me. Notification that I just approved the chore - even though it is already removed from the list of chores to approve. This becomes tedious and annoying.

I absolutely love Gimi it is really good for kids to learn how to save money. It has really made me want to do the chores to get the money I also just love the app its self on by home screen it is front and centre plus you don't have to pay.

Sounds great, but downloaded only to get “Something went wrong” and the “tell us” contact link doesn’t work either?

The login and invite process is pretty much useless. Switched phones and now not able to log in again, and the kids can’t log in either on their phones which makes this pretty much useless after working just ok for a few months. 

The login sms is broken. And on phone which was logged in successfully it just stays on splash screen forever so can’t even open anymore.

I wanted to order a card for my child. The instructions say: go to Settings and to Subscriptions. Guess what - the is no Subscriptions anywhere in the app. Otherwise could be a good app.

Every single week, my daughters reoccurring chores do not show up. I’ve emailed twice about this and nothing is corrected. Because, I’ve spent a good chunk of my time recreating the chores weekly, because the app does not work correctly, I would not recommend. That single flaw, renders the entire app useless.

What is the workaround for if your child doesn't have a phone of their own? This app says 4 and up but surely you aren't expecting 4 year olds to have phones?!

Your child doesn't need a phone of his own. But your child needs access to a tablet or an old phone without a sim card. Since the app is built for children, it is important that they are involved in the app. Hope this helped to explain the situation :)

Really good sounding app, however, I can’t get through the set up process as it keeps telling me ‘the field may not be null’ even though it isn’t. I’ve tried several times and put in several different numbers and it is still complaining and I can’t get any further.

Really wanted this to work for my 8 yr old but I've loaded it on to 2 different iPads and can't get past log in. The one time we did out of 30+ attempts the next screen is just frozen. 😩

Unable to actually do anything with this app. When I try to add a child the app closes itself down. When I try to add a parent in my child’s version, it says an error has occurred.
