Finding the translation option is like trying to find your way through a maze, and finding the tab for grammar practice is also difficult. The web interface is erratic, and the app I downloaded is also erratic. In short, it's not a useful application at all. ### 2/5 — No Thanks *2025-11-19, version 8.0* I haven't used AI before so thought I'd try it in conjunction with spell and grammar check. Wasn't able to paste my full Pages document into the app. All of my formatting was removed. It made corrections which were not correct. So now I have a partial version which I can't incorporate back into my original Pages paper without having to reformat and check again manually to make sure none of the Smart mistakes carried over. Wouldn't use this "premium" service again even with the free trial. Certainly wouldn't pay for it. I can edit faster and more accurately myself. I don't need extra work caused by an app. ### 2/5 — What is going with the app? *2024-07-21* I’ve been using this app for so many things but lately it always said no net work even I have network?! I was very disappointed. Can you please fix it? It’s very annoying!!! Otherwise I have to cancel my subscription! I still have remaining subscription but It just wasted because the app is not working anymore due to the network connection! I have full bars wifi and I have great data network. Both of them it’s not working with this app. Hopefully you can fix this problem sooner!!! ### 3/5 — Error with translate *2024-04-03, version 7.3* Unfortunately is a problem wen you use the translate. Is come up with a message {Your network condition is unstable, please try again later.} ### 3/5 — Has problems with the Magic Keyboard *2023-11-14, version 7.1* A lot of things seem to be nice about this app, and with this update it doesn't crash as often. The suggestions are generally very good and it's fast compared to some of the others I've tried. Thankfully the issue with the blank area when using the iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard seems to have been fixed, but there’s still an issue there. Most of the time the rephrase tool is only active if the onscreen keyboard is showing. Once I click it I can hide the keyboard again, but it’s a bit annoying that way. ### 3/5 — Better than Grammarly *2023-05-14, version 6.5* Ginger is exceptionally good. Ginger is now my primary syntax, proofreading, rephrasing and grammar app. The simple, intuitive interface has everything I need to write correctly. Suggestion: User interface is a bit plain. Custom color/background/font themes would personalize the experience. Landscape mode would also be welcome. ### 4/5 — Great App.. Needš Folders, Súb Folders *2023-04-08, version 6.5* Hi ! You have as great app, you do! However, u need to be able to make folders even sub-folders! I know, you can ⭐️Save Text! But I want folders and font choices, MONO CURSIVE & BLACK CHANCERY. The suggestions are generally very good and it's fast compared to some of the others I've tried. My problem is that in landscape mode on my iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard it cuts off the text just like I was using the onscreen keyboard, leaving a gaping blank area and only showing a small portion of the text it should be able to show. There's no visible divider, just text stopping a little ways down the page. Despite its strengths, the display issue makes it much less useful for me. **Developer response:** Thanks for pointing this small issue. We'll investigate and try to fix soon. ### 4/5 — Helpful app/new up date *2022-09-12, version 6.2* I’ve used this for a few years and it has helped me in my day to day life it’s been great, recently in the past month the update on the app is very limited and restricts you from being able to use most features which is quite disappointing as I have come to rely on it time to time. I started using it while I have two other similar products available in today’s market. I’m using this app in iPad Mini (the latest version). It’s good for small paragraphs and single sentences. I pasted a three-page article and tried to correct. After painstakingly corrected more than a page, it crashed and I lost all the corrections that I have made. Not one time or two, it crashed.
