### 2/5 — Recent update

*2020-04-27, version 2.2.4*

The app was working fine until your recent update. Now it just closes after clicking on it. Also I still have trouble figuring out your food listing. That needs work.

### 4/5 — Some bugs, amazing information

*2020-04-07, version 2.1.7*

Great app, however it keeps telling me I haven’t completed my profile... which I have. And I wish it could give me a list of foods that are good for me, and a list of foods I should avoid.

### 5/5 — Health

*2020-04-04, version 2.1.7*

I am more than satisfied with Gini.
So much scientific facts at my finger tips.
Great to know what foods are good for you
You may be surprised that some healthy foods are bad for your genetics.
You find out so many great things about yourself. Example: what your optimal macros are and what micronutrients you are deficient in and loads more.
Worth while checking into

### 2/5 — Not sure if it’s accurate

*2020-01-21, version 2.1.4*

I’m at type 1 diabetic but didn’t pick that up, says I maybe at risk for type 2 but not type one? Strange

### 5/5 — Gives personalised insights

*2020-01-13, version 2.1.1*

Amazing app

### 5/5 — Phenomenal nutrition assistant

*2019-12-27, version 2.1.0*

Helps me understand what foods are great for me genetically and keep track of foods taking into consideration my gene adjusted needs. There’s nothing like this out on the App Store.

### 5/5 — The future of nutrition?

*2019-10-13, version 1.9.37*

Very cool way to make your DNA testing more insightful and understand your unique nutrition needs. Super interested to see how this team evolves the product. They seem to be updating and improving it often so I’m really interested to see where it goes. The new health meter updates are very cool and make the app more useful for daily food tracking and meal planning.

### 2/5 — Good info/ clunky interface

*2019-09-14, version 1.9.37*

It would be nice to be able to add vitamins, the multi I take daily doesn’t even show up; nor anything comparable. The food list is impossible to edit; foods can’t be taken off even if you add them by accident. Plus, this app doesn’t sync to any other apps; so you’ll still have to put your data into another app if you want to track calories... not a great buy; I will not be renewing my subscription.

### 1/5 — Joke app

*2019-08-14, version 1.9.31*

Sadly i cant use it . Nobody has a desktop anymore and cant put my dna in a library computer. Also impossible to transfer from a desktop to iphone app. Ill have to find something that works. This is a joke

### 5/5 — Health benefits

*2019-07-05, version 1.9.20*

I love this and use this for all my family members, it has taken our genetic testing to the next level to help me understand what each person in our family needs to eat and do to maintain great overall health. Is sure did answer some questions on why I was feeling the way I did. I would recommend this app to everyone.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Stolen money

*2024-04-19, version 2.3.36*

I paid for the full version of the app and even after my money has been taken I still can’t access those features. Have tried numerous times to contact the company with no response.

### 1/5 — Completely broken app

*2022-05-20, version 2.3.36*

Looks like this app hasn’t been updated in a year, or more.

I had previously used it and really liked it. I had submitted my raw dna and enjoyed reading the health interpretations. However, the app is currently almost completely unusable. Buttons don’t work, or only one button works at a time and then you can’t tap anywhere else or navigate anywhere else, and the app has to be force quit or relaunched. I would hesitate to trust this company or give them your money and dna, if they can’t even be bothered to maintain a functioning app.

### 1/5 — Not functioning

*2020-12-07, version 2.3.36*

I wanted to return to gini since it looks like more features were added. I upgraded to premium. None of the premium features work (they still prompt me to upgrade when i click them) and the “contact us” page doesn’t seem to exist. The sleep tracker also doesn’t seem to function correctly.

### 1/5 — Trash moneyhungry useless app

*2020-09-12, version 2.3.17*

garbage

### 1/5 — Froze

*2020-07-02, version 2.3.6*

The app froze. Will not unfreeze. Now I can’t see my information.

### 1/5 — Miss the original Gini

*2020-05-08, version 2.2.6*

This used to be my favor app. They started to make this app so complex that lost its soul. In the beginning the simplicity of the app and what it used to do was the key for everyone to love. I recommended this to all my friends but now we deleted this app. There are many app who does what this app does now but not what it used to do. Why?

### 1/5 — App is terrible!

*2020-02-25, version 2.1.7*

It will not even find a match for “egg” this morning. I cannot find a way to create a list or access previously logged foods. It’s like starting from scratch every time I go to use the app. Sorry I bought an entire year now.

### 1/5 — Buyer Beware - THIS IS A SCAM

*2020-01-31, version 2.1.6*

I had high hopes for this app. I have emailed 3 times and submitted my questions via the form upon clicking “Contact Us” in the app and have NEVER received a response. I ordered the supplements once because I received an offer for a free add-on and thought what the heck...I’ll try it. Received the order and the add-on was not included. No response to repeated requests. I cancelled my subscription via iTunes. But guess what HAS NOT been cancelled? You guessed it...the supplements...which I am now being charged for the add-on. There is no way to cancel this order through the app or the website. Plus they upset my stomach. Now I will have to go through the the process of trying to get this removed from my credit card...which means canceling the card 🤬👎🏻

### 1/5 — Virus!

*2019-12-20, version 2.0.4*

All fb posts are fake recommending this app - spam alerts - just google - I f you upload to this site - redirects you by saying you must log in through desktop and if on app - vice versa. Check yourself - this is not real.

### 1/5 — Inconsistent

*2019-10-09, version 1.9.37*

1. Tells me to avoid high histamine foods but then marks them as good for me.

2. The Gini adjusted micronutrients change. First suggests I need 1,5g omega3, later number changes to 1,7g, then goes to 1,4g. How is this even possible?! I have screenshots proving it as well.

3. Macronutrient recommendations are based on weight loss, not optimal performance. Useless to me as I am trying to gain weight, not lose it. You would think they would let you to adjust the plan according to your goals.

4. I waited for my test results for 4 weeks (they advertise it as 2-3). No apology, let alone reply.

5. Customer support non existent. They don’t reply to emails nor facebook messages.

6. Since app is inconsistent and doesn’t reflect food suitability, nor micronutrient needs, it’s useless. Also incredibly inaccurate. Says I’m prone to hypertension while I’ve had hypotension (the complete opposite) my entire life. What exactly am I am paying for?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Upgrade to premium not working

*2020-12-16, version 2.3.36*

Support fixed this very fast

### 5/5 — Blown away

*2020-11-29, version 2.3.36*

This app is amazing. I have connected it with my 23andMe account and it imported all the data and presented it in a simple and easy to read way. The nutrition tracker is intuitive and tells me what is best to eat for my genetics... cool! The supplement recommendation and custom formula are so valuable. I spend $80+ a month on supplements currently because of my celiac. This one supplement is cheaper, good quality, and replaces many separate ones. I love how it updates the vitamin supplement as it learns your eating habits - ie you track your meals - and adjusts the supplement to bridge only the gaps and omit things you don’t need because you get enough in your diet. I’m really excited to continue with the app and see how my health can further improve. Soooo cool!

### 5/5 — Cool!

*2020-11-25, version 2.3.36*

I loved learning so much about my body. Incredible.

### 5/5 — Great tracker

*2020-07-29, version 2.3.10*

Able to easily track food and supplements! Told me my nutrient deficiency. Ordered the vitamins. Can’t wait to get them.

### 5/5 — Great info!

*2020-07-14, version 2.3.6*

Changed the way I look at the food. How it ties back to your genetics, get a customised macro and micro nutrients needs for you body.

### 5/5 — Good app!

*2020-06-23, version 2.3.4*

This app helps me make good choices and helps me received consider what I should put in my body based on nutrition.

### 5/5 — Makes my health information actionable

*2020-05-29, version 2.3.0*

Love the simplicity of information. I’ve been taking Gini supplements from 9 months. Working great for me.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-05-23, version 2.3.0*

Gini health is great app. It helps me to improve my daily eating diet habits. It’s tell me which food is good or bad for my health. Some food I was eating every day which I find out those food not good for me at all. Gini definitely helps me to make changes in my healthy diet.👍👍👍

### 5/5 — Good DNA info

*2020-05-20, version 2.2.8*

So far so good love the detail with the DNA and tracking of nutrition but wish the connection to Apple health kit was better and could integrate more. Definitely see potential!

### 5/5 — Love & hate

*2020-04-29, version 2.2.5*

I love the information that I got with this app.
But I hate when I get a notification that I have info to read & I click it, it opens the app then all the info disappears. And no links to find it.
