It’s mostly better than an Excel sheet, but by inly so much. * As I started entering my collection, I came across one that couldn’t be found, then another, then another. In total: 6 of mine were not found. While one of them is from a smaller distillery, so I understand that, the others were not. This includes a flavor of Tanqueray and one of Hendrick’s. * There is no way to add a Gin that’s not in their list, nor upload a photo… let alone a way to reach out to the author. * it would also be nice to have couple status options for gins in your virtual cabinet, such as Available, Low, Empty. * Community: Why not have a way to share your Cabinet/profile with friends? (which would encourage others to download the app. I’m sure I will come up with more, but in the first 30 minutes of using the app, that’s my initial finding. ### 4/5 — Great app, missing social features and notes *2024-09-30, version 3.2.0* I totally love this app, but would like to have also social functionality to connect with friends and see each other's favorite gins and comments. Pero hay un par de cosas que le faltan para ser perfecta. En cada ginebra tendria que venir un link a la web del fabricante. Tambien opcion ordenar y buscar por paises. Y opcion buscar por localidad o con un radio, de tal manera que te encuentre si hay alguna gin de fabricacion local. Por ejemplo, estas en Ibiza y que te diga las gins que se hacen en un radio de 100 km. Las fotos de las botellas tendrian que tener opcion de ampliarse para verlas mejor. ### 4/5 — Great app! But have I an idea… *2022-05-15, version 3.1.1* Love this app! Great for learning and finding out what goes perfectly with a gin and it’s great for serving when hosting/ inviting people round. I would love something that when you click on a tonic (for example), the gins that you’ve added to your cabinet would come up first rather than scrolling through seeing if something works. Colors are well integrated. I would suggest to improve the app by adding some useful features: - filter Gins and tonics by rating - search gins and tonics by country and by essences - create a map view with the gins location - .... I have a large gin collection which I keep adding to and try find the gins on here but no luck! If it was kept up to date it would be perfect. ### 4/5 — Tolle App, die weiterentwickelt werden müsste *2020-06-09, version 2.0* Das ist eine echt tolle App...Immer wenn ich mir nen Gin aus meiner Sammlung nehme (es sind mittlerweile 37 Stück) schaue ich im Vorfeld rein und lasse mich was den Tonic oder das Garnish angeht inspirieren. Jedoch fällt mir mittlerweile auf, dass doch recht viele junge deutsche Gins fehlen, wie z.B. der BIRDS Dry Gin oder der BIRDS exotical Spirit. Cool wäre hier, wenn man selbst Sorten hinzufügen könnte. Einfach nen Bild gemacht, Beschreibung geschrieben und eigene Rezeptideen hinterlegen! ### 4/5 — Great app but no updates! *2020-06-01, version 2.0* Such a great app and use it religiously but no updates have been had in years and no responses to any recommendations sent. Why does rating start from 6 and is not weighted? You can’t see how many reviews have been given. Too much scope for negative scoring, why is this not based on a conventional rating system? No response to any messages. Can anyone elaborate? ### 2/5 — Zu wenig Möglichkeiten *2018-11-08, version 2.0* Eine schlanke und informative Auflistung von Gins und Tonics. Schön aufgemacht! Leider fehlt mir die Möglichkeit, Gin und Tonic-Kombinationen selber einzugeben und zu bewerten. Auch kann ich keine eigenen Geschmacksnotizen hinterlegen. So muss ich doch alles in mein schwarzes Büchlein schreiben, um den Kunden Empfehlungen zu geben. Ausserdem ist keine andere Auflistung möglich als alphabetisch. Ich finde es auch nicht sonderlich informativ, nicht zu wissen, wie viele schon eine Bewertung abgeben haben. Was nützt mir eine Note, wenn sie nur von einer Person stammt?! Es ist ein gutes Nachschlagewerk, um Wunschlisten zu erstellen, aber mehr nicht. Updates hatte ich als iPad-Nutzer im letzten halben Jahr auch keine... Gibt es keine? ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Finde das richtige Tonic zum Gin *2025-07-04, version 3.2.0* Immer wenn ich einen Gin geschenkt bekomme, oder wenn ich in einer Bar einen Gin sehe, suche ich mir die Bewertung heraus und das passende Tonic Water. Die GINs, die ich mag oder die ich zu Hause habe, packe ich in meinen virtuellen Ginschrank (Bookmark). Die Beschreibungen sind ausführlich und es gibt immer Vorschläge der passenden Tonics. Cool wäre es, wenn man sich zu jedem Gin oder Tonic noch seine eigenen Notizen machen könnte z. But when searching for what gin to buy, there are almost 5K option with no search/filter option, only sorted alphabetically. At least a sort by rating option would be great to see the ones with higher rating.
