I’m not able to even sign in *2026-07-16* I’m not sure what happened the camera was fine for about a year and then it’s completely not working. It logged me out of my account. I’ve tried signing into my old account and the forgot password feature doesn’t work. I made a new account and it won’t fully connect. It’s connecting fine to my WiFi but then not going through. I tried the troubleshooting steps which is basically the typical “looping” of there’s something wrong with your equipment not ours. There’s nothing wrong with my WiFi or phone it’s definitely an issue on this app! I’m about to just go buy another Tapo if they can’t fix it. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues. Customer support is usually friendly so hoping they can get back to me and fix this. I don’t want to have to make multiple email accounts to try to “log in”. Seems very odd. ### 3/5 — Works well *2026-07-15* I actually really like this camera, it works well. However, I have 4 dislikes. 1. I don’t like that the recording is not looped. 2. I don’t like that it does not have the option to delete multiple videos at once. I have several recordings that are unnecessary and i have to constantly delete them one at a time. I only want to save what i want not everything. Plus, I don’t want my storage to fill up fast. Then it also takes screenshots in the cloud section even though i have no cloud account for the camera. It should give the option to stop that, since i am using an SD card instead. I did not know it would require you to pay to use the cloud. I don’t know if this is storing these screenshots in the SD card or not but i also have to go and delete these individually. Find something else that’s strange, if i delete the screenshots from cloud, it slay deletes the video from the SD card, that defeats the purpose of having the SD when they shouldn’t be connected. 3. It seems to lag whenever i go to the live section. I have great connection, i know that’s not the issue. 4. I suddenly can’t log into my account and don’t know why. ### 2/5 — Had my cameras for a year *2026-07-15* I have three Girafit cameras for a year now. Everything has been running great until today. I was booted out of the app and can’t log back in. Keep getting a timeout error when trying to change my password. I’ve tried everything the web troubleshooting FAQs recommend and still no change. I’ve emailed customer support; hopefully they will be helpful. Cameras are useless without the app. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2026-07-15* You buy these things, and they keep logging out. And if it’s been a while, you forget your password. And then when you try to log back in their system keeps glitching and will not allow you to log back in. They have no customer service. These things are a complete rip off. Do not waste your money on these. They don’t work and they glitch constantly. Definitely don’t buy them off a. TT SHOP. You’ve been warned. Somebody needs to get a class action lawsuit against this company. File complaints with the federal trade commission. Also file complaint with Apple to have them removed for ripping people. ### 3/5 — Seems to lack lately *2026-06-20, version 1.9.1* I own this camera for quite a while, and while it was reliable at first it started lacking reliability. E.g.: I see in the miniature image in the app a car in front of my house, when I click on playback there is no car. I check the mini view before and after, nothing. It’s slow and hardly ever works. ### 1/5 — Freezes all the time *2026-06-07, version 1.9.1* Takes 20-30 seconds to load live feed then freezes over and over while you’re trying to watch it. ### 2/5 — Bug in latest build - cannot delete saved events from SD *2026-06-05, version 1.9.1* Latest build will not delete recorded events saved to the microSD card, user gets “Failed to delete” error after attempting to delete either single events or several in bulk. Please assess and fix. ### 1/5 — Nothing works *2026-05-30, version 1.9.1* Almost nothing works in this app and it hardly ever gets updated. Can’t even do basic things like rename a camera because it just doesn’t save. ### 5/5 — Plz allow to organize and save camera order— extremely annoying *2026-05-22, version 1.9.1* UPDATE: changed to 5 star/ keep up the good work. App is getting better with updates and new features. Please add following new features. Make it so app automatically resumes on full screen displaying camera. Video feeds load too slowly, too many interruptions and updates. I have people sneaking around my house. The app needs to open to video feeds In 1 second with 1 click. I have to click through multiple menus and pop-ups to open the feed. Intruder runs around my house so fast within seconds. The app video feeds doesn’t open fast enough to catch intruders. I ended up missing a lot of people/ — OLD I like it so far— please upgrade it and improve it. Please add battery for intermittent power failures. Very useful. Camera can record during power outages. Include discounted 2TB SD cards bundled with camera. Add support for 10x 20x and more cameras in one app. Add support for unlimited cameras. Keep updating the app with more features.
