It’s basically a harem simulator where you manage a cafe and fight infected “monsters” with the same cafe staff. It’s very straight forward on how to play and what you need to focus on. I love the character development and get to know how each of the characters are. The ability to customize your cafe. I am not sure if there are issues currently with the notifications but I am not getting any from the game. Many gacha games only give out roles on characters and weapons for hard grinding or lots of money. Though this game is pay to win if you simply want to go free to play or be a dolphin you can and still enjoy all aspects of the game from the shooter features to a bit of the gacha aspect as well. We’ll see how it goes later. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Sad *2023-02-21, version 1.0.9* Since an update exactly 1 year ago today, all servers for this game seem to have been permanently shutdown and contacting support doesn’t seem to do much because every response I’ve gotten has been along the lines of, “all of their servers our functioning properly”, but every time I try to connect the server list is completely empty. ### 1/5 — Too stingy and expensive *2021-10-23, version 1.0.7* - Pity is too expensive at ~$22 and needing 30 ten pulls. - Stages & events cost way too much energy. Can barely play even with all free energy & refreshes. - New player unfriendly; past event characters are unobtainable and will be too hard to get when added to dupe shop. - Co-op mode drop rate is too low, so not worth doing, especially with events always back-to-back. ### 2/5 — Cant change language setting *2021-10-11, version 1.0.7* Different subtitle language exist already, but each app-store region only gets the language its app-store is based in. Absolutely ridiculous! how much work would it take for you guys to add the option of choosing what subtitle language to use. Especially when you give out a 10x roll for the current event gacha vs the fixed starter pool with no special anything? Yeah… pass. I’ll spend my money elsewhere on games that dont mind how I start, and hardpass on making random names only to spend premium currency to change it. ### 3/5 — Huge flaw *2022-08-17, version 1.0.9* I just started the game and ran into a huge game breaking flaw. Like others, I prefer auto battle games and this game has it. However, it does it poorly. There are boss mechanics where you need to hide behind objects and when they are on auto, they ignore the mechanics and die. So the auto feature is pointless during boss fights. This is permanently scarring ### 4/5 — What happened in the update? *2022-08-08, version 1.0.9* With the recent update to combat crashing, I came across something that just ticked me off. Now there is no punctuation at the end of speech bubbles. It gives the illusion that it is an incomplete thought and I believe it should be fixed. Another problem I have is that in Auto Mode, my squad makes no attempt in dodging attacks, which can kill them unnecessarily. ### 4/5 — Great game but… *2022-02-23, version 1.0.7* I love the story and how it is fun with the cafe and battle, but with the boss fights how they are limited to 5 minutes I found very annoying I get stressed out with Bossfights all the time but by adding a timer makes it even more stressful. But now it keeps popping up and saying “Girl cafe run doesn’t have enough storage to download.” I’m sure it’s not the game developers fault but it keeps happening which is annoying. If it is my phone doing that I am sorry for bothering you with this! That aside it seems like a great game. The gameplay is really easy to learn and enjoyable. You can move freely in the environment and fight. The Chibi version of characters used in each level is a real smart and nice idea! The Girls(Waifus) are super cute and each have unique personalities and skills. The game explains its mechanisms to you by interacting with the girls. You even get to Head Pat them😍😌 What more do you want?! There are also various types of enemies and bosses so that you won't get bored. All in all this genuinely an amazing game developers. When I first saw this game, I thought back to the other countless games that were all just as terrible. But something clicked with this one in particular. I try every game at least once, so I downloaded it just the same. But this one wasn’t the same. It has a very rich story with amazing voice actors to help. I was pleasantly surprised with the live2d as well. Fluid for sure. Unlike most terrible gacha, you have to go through a good couple of levels before you can acess that area. Girls x battle 2 being a big offender showing you the gacha right off the bat. This one takes its time and knows how to pace. I will warn though, it does take up a good bit of space 5 gb at the time of me writing this.
