## What is GitaLock?

GitaLock turns the apps that scatter your attention into a moment of stillness with BhagavadGita Quotes.

Set a daily limit for the apps that pull you in—social media, games, anything. When your time is up, those apps lock, and instead of endless scrolling you're met with a verse from the Bhagavad Gita: the original Sanskrit, its sound, and its meaning. Read it, take a breath, and choose your next few minutes with intention.

No guilt. No harsh blockers. Just a gentle gate, and an ancient voice to meet you there.

WHY GITALOCK
• A pause with purpose—every lock becomes a small reflection, not a dead end.
• 700+ verses—the complete Bhagavad Gita, with Sanskrit, transliteration, and English meaning.
• Calm by design—a warm, traditional look made to slow you down.

FEATURES
• Daily limits—pick apps or whole categories and set how long is enough.
• Lock schedules—block distractions during bedtime, focus hours, or any window you choose.
• Verse-led unlock—reflect on a verse to earn a few more mindful minutes.
• Verse of the day—a fresh sloka each morning on your home screen.
• Read the whole Gita—browse all 18 chapters, search every verse, and sit with a swipeable reader.
• Private by design—your app choices never leave your device.

GITALOCK PLUS

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-21

A calmer pause, and a reason to keep it going.

• In plain words — all 701 verses now carry a simple, modern explanation beside the classic translation, so the meaning lands the moment you read it.
• A redesigned lock screen — the Sanskrit śloka, its translation, and the plain meaning on warm paper, with a fresh verse every time an app is blocked.
• Streaks — see how many days you've stayed under your limit, and your best run so far.
• Strict mode — for when you want a wall, not a door: no unlocking until the day resets or the schedule ends.
• Daily verse reminder — a verse arrives at the hour you choose, with a gentle nudge when a streak is on the line.
• Lock schedules — Bedtime and Focus presets, one tap.
• A weekly report card, and a quiet count of every pause you've taken.

Fixes: schedules that were already underway now lock correctly, and unlocking after a reflection reliably gives you the full grace window.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-03

This release makes every pause more meaningful.

• Plain-language meanings — every one of the 701 verses now has a simple, modern "in plain words" explanation alongside the classic translation.
• Redesigned lock screen — reads like a page of scripture: the ॐ seal, the Sanskrit śloka, its translation, and the plain meaning, on warm paper.
• A fresh verse each time — reopen a blocked app and a different verse greets you.
• Reflect to unlock — take a breath with the verse and unlock for a few gentle minutes, then it locks again.
• Lock schedules — block your apps during set hours like Bedtime or Focus, with one-tap presets.
• A quiet nudge — see how many times GitaLock has met you at the gate.

Plus stability fixes to scheduling and unlocking.
