### 4/5 — Love Alice’s workouts

*2025-07-03, version 2.2*

I love Alice’s workouts. Great pace and clear explanations. Good mix of exercises and variations for those who need it. Great to have her counting reps for those moves where you can’t look at your screen.
Minimal equipment needed.
Personally I find the cardio sessions too fast paced (even the warm ups) and with very little explanation or counting/updates through a move I often get confused with what I’m doing. Those ones I tend to miss or do but don’t enjoy. That said because of how much I love Alice’s strength workouts it’s still a great app and one I would recommend.

### 5/5 — Completely love it 🫶🏼

*2023-12-22*

Alice!!! I’ve returned to your app about 4 months ago. After having my second little girl I suffered from a prolapsed disc in my lower back and basically lost all strength and a good chunk of mobility in my left leg and came out of working out for a good year as a result of this. But since doing your workouts my strength and muscle everywhere but in particular my left leg/ankle has returned. At one point I couldn’t tiptoe on my left side and now I’m running again 🥹 my body literally craves movement and your app has allowed me to fall back in love with exercise 🫶🏼 I’ve recently taken the plunge and joined a gym and I take you along with me and do your on demand challenges there. Thank you thank you thank you for always giving the best support and encouragement in your workouts and taking the time to really coach me. Honestly couldn’t recommend you enough 🙌🏼💜

### 4/5 — Give me strength

*2023-10-05, version 2.1*

I was a user of this app for a year or so and I found it great as an introduction to strength training.
Alice takes the time to explain each exercise at the start of each challenge - unfortunately this got too repetitive for me so I no longer use this app.

### 5/5 — Love the Give Me Strength App

*2023-07-25, version 2.1*

Alice has finally got me to stick to a strength plan. I love working out at home with her and the Give Me Strength App.

### 5/5 — I’m the strongest I’ve even been!

*2023-07-20, version 2.1*

This app has everything you need to workout both at home and in the gym whatever your fitness level is!
I’m 45 and have never felt or been so strong, I can’t put into words the positive impact this has had on my mental health, I know have a healthy relationship with food and have throw my scales away.
I’ve used this app since it was launched and recommended to everyone.

### 5/5 — Where to start?

*2023-07-19*

I don’t know where to begin. I don’t write reviews really. But this app is so important to me, as is Alice.
Someone told me about Alice during lockdown and I started joining her classes ( at 7am). I found them difficult but felt good afterwards.
I hate gyms and have been a committed outdoor runner for most of my adult life. Forsaking all other exercise.
As I’ve aged (now 57) I’ve slowed and was becoming less motivated. Also, with a lot of runners my age, I’d become more injury prone.
I subscribed to Give Me Strength about 18 months ago and I can clearly state it’s changed my life.
I’ve become stronger, leaner, more committed and I’ve joined a gym- where I love doing Alice’s classes I’m running faster than I have in many years, maybe decades. And it feels easier.
But probably, most importantly, Alice has made it possible for me to say “not today” and to have rest days when maybe I wouldn’t before.
I am so grateful to have found a PT who I can relate to and who makes me feel good about myself. The classes and teaching are better than being in a gym with a PT- I promise. You will get the results you are hoping for and you will love the classes.
I hope this is not too long but I wanted ti say it all x

### 5/5 — I love this app - it’s the only thing I use

*2023-07-19, version 2.1*

Alice has always been a hero of mine both from a training and mindset perspective. I love her workouts and the fact that they are follow along and so well thought through is perfect for me.
Most apps tend to assume people have time to think about their training but alice takes out all the thinking and just asks that we trust the process!
Love you alice - keep up the amazing work…
Had xx

### 5/5 — The best app and trainer

*2023-07-19, version 2.1*

I’ve done the home workout programme and the gym programme and can’t fault it. Made more progress than I ever have and Alice is the most relatable and supportive. 5*

### 3/5 — New updates

*2023-02-04, version 2.1*

I joined the app two weeks ago and loved having a workout from home option and the workouts being for home. But, since the new update the new plan says it’s for home but includes TRX and leg extension machine - I don’t have these at home.
I’m gutted that the plan I thought I had bought, has changed so drastically and I’m not going to have access to my old plan from March.
Please think about the exercises you are setting for home workouts.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!!!!!

*2023-02-04, version 2.1*

I’ve followed Alice on instagram since lockdown and always done her monthly challenges.
The app is amazing, Alice explains everything in detail, so you feel confident when doing the workouts. Best ever fitness app I’ve had

### 5/5 — Best app for strength and wellbeing💪🏼.

*2023-02-03, version 2.1*

All of Alice’s programs have made me feel empowered and stronger. I have followed her for years on Instagram and the app is such a great fitness addition! I love the live workouts but can also see the massive benefit to the strength programmes and now also running and other programmes!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2025-08-04, version 2.2*

Pretty disappointing. There always seems to be mistakes/issues with uploading the workouts which are all pretty samey. For the price I expected better, there are definitely better apps out there.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2024-09-02, version 2.2*

Pretty disappointing. There always seems to be mistakes/issues with uploading the workouts which are all pretty samey and boring. All seems a bit half assed and there’s nothing particularly stand out

### 1/5 — Continuously awful

*2023-05-01, version 2.1*

Honestly I’ve had to re rate this to a 1. There are glitches every single week and it’s always the same excuse. “Oh occasionally it happens”- no, occasionally is twice a year, not every week. There are SUCH better apps out there with none of these problems. I also find Alice and her posts very problematic in general so it just doesn’t fit the ethos of the app. I’ve since cancelled and am very happy going to a “competitor”

### 1/5 — Bit expensive

*2022-09-21, version 1.9*

It’s a bit expensive for what it is there’s free apps with basically the same content

### 2/5 — Macro calculator not working correctly

*2023-09-17, version 2.1*

When I change the settings on macro calculator from fat loss to maintenance, it just gives me the exact same amount of calories which obviously isn’t right

### 2/5 — Not beginner friendly

*2023-07-03*

Firstly I’ve followed Alice for a while and love her content and ethos so this is no way a dig at her personally, but I was a bit disappointed by the app as it’s not really aimed at a beginner level, nor does it support beginners enough. For example, day one of the beginner gym programme includes ‘hanging scapular retractions’ and exercises using the cable machine. There is no video or help showing you how to set up the machines or guidance on getting into the right position etc. I think it’s worth considering for a compete beginner, walking into a busy gym and using these sort of machines / doing these movements is incredibly daunting and definitely not something to do on day 1.
I was expecting to master the basic compound movements first and then greater guidance on how to use a cable machine or how to do a hanging scapular retraction or how/where to setup a resistance band for a ‘Pallof Press’. Sadly these exercises were not aimed at a beginner level.
I also tried changing from gym to home workouts in the settings to see if it would be a bit simpler, but the app wouldn’t refresh and kept showing me gym workouts (even after saving my setting changes) so this was quite disappointing.

The app also seems quite basic for the price paid and for me there was nowhere near the level of support and guidance for a beginner for that price.

### 2/5 — A bit same-y

*2023-02-25, version 2.1*

I have followed Alice for a long time but unfortunately was a bit disappointed in this app. The intermediate work outs are the same workout over and over again for 6 weeks. I’m sure there’s a reason for this however I just found it boring after a while doing the same thing over and over again. Not for me but I’m sure others will enjoy the routine.

### 2/5 — Not for beginners

*2023-02-22*

I can’t afford a trainer, so I’ve been looking for an app that will literally teach me the basics of strength training. I never touch the weights at the gym – too intimidating and I’m worried about putting my back out. But I really want to learn, there just isn’t much out there for complete beginners.

I was hoping Alice’s plan might include step by step demos of the different exercises, but it doesn’t. I selected the beginner plan and the first exercise it suggested is a sumo deadlift (no idea) and I definitely don’t have the confidence to swing a kettlebell without injuring myself.

I got the free trial to try this out. I would’ve happily paid the subscription if there were clear instructions (with audio) for all the exercises in the plan. A few of the exercises have some written instructions but for a gym companion app personally I’d need video and audio.

### 3/5 — Why is it so small on tablet?

*2025-01-01, version 2.2*

Baffled. When using ipad to play workouts, they remain tiny like set up in vertical for phones. The workouts so far seem great but not ideal playing them this way. Also it’s clunky to exit out once watched. I’d like to be able to jump straight into the yoga and Pilates workouts when I want but those are buried away under month challenges. It feels like with ux work this could be a lot better. On the fence whether I’ll keep going at £17 a month

### 3/5 — It’s okay but lacks key features

*2024-06-05, version 2.2*

This app is okay. Fine if you already know about exercise and how to hold your body. But I’m doing one of the 12 week programmes and there is no explanation on what your form should be on each exercise. Only on the ones with resistance bands.

There is nowhere to write notes as you go along. One of the best factors in other apps is the ability to write yourself notes as you go along, so when you come back to the same workout the week after, you can see how you felt and what you did etc. when you come to do the same one a week after.

It’s not clear on some exercises if Alice is asking you to do 10 reps on one leg or 10 reps on each leg. The video shows her reverse lunging on the same leg and it says 10 reps. I am guessing you have to do 20 reps in total, 10 on each leg but it’s not clear.

I haven’t used the nutrition part of the app so cannot comment.

Overall, the app is okay but could use a few more additions.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — One word…transformative!

*2025-07-07, version 2.2*

I’ve followed Alice for 3 years now and her workouts have been a game changer. As a woman in her peri menopause years, the strength sessions have given me a new lease of life, Alice coaches in a clear and informative way without patronising! My body shape and confidence have grown in ways I never thought possible and I actually look forward to exercising; something I never thought would happen! Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Love these sessions!

*2024-07-24, version 2.2*

I have been following Alice for a while, long before this amazing app came out. I was a subscriber for some time but had to give it up for a long while due to an injury. I’ve now resubscribed and I am loving it all over again. I had been doing the odd workout routine in the gym but I really like the continuity of Alice’s challenges and the detail she gives her team! Had my 2nd session of the summer challenge at the gym today and absolutely loved it all. Thank you Alice for creating a wonderful pocket PT app, you’re amazing ☺️

### 5/5 — Simple easy to use and lots of fun to boot

*2024-05-19, version 2.2*

Love this app. Fun & simple to use. Been using since Alice first set the app up following on from her Live instagrams during COVID Lockdown days. Fits in with a busy family/full time work life. And ideal for us ladies hitting the 40/50s needing great weight bearing exercise hitting those peri/menopause years. Great variety of weight, cardio workouts to include yoga & now Pilates.

### 5/5 — Fantastic workouts

*2024-01-18, version 2.1*

I’ve been doing Alice’s workouts since lockdown and am in my best shape ever even after two pregnancies. The workouts are tough but Alice is motivating and it feels like she’s in the room with you. I’ll never pay for a gym membership again!

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2024-01-17, version 2.1*

I’ve been using this app since it started and it just keeps getting better. I love Alice’s teaching style and the exercises are really clearly explained with lots of options for different levels. I feel so much stronger and healthier and mentally more alert. I don’t follow the app challenges religiously but I still feel like I get so much out of it and it’s great value for money. I love that you can do it anywhere and with minimal equipment. No excuses…

### 5/5 — Best exercise for perimenopause!

*2024-01-17*

I’m 47 and been exercising my whole life. This is honestly the best thing I’ve ever done. I feel amazing! The coaching and support from Alice is so great and makes those days when you feel like you just can’t do it so much easier. The pace, length and intensity is spot on. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — 5 star fitness

*2024-01-17, version 2.1*

Love this app! I’m the strongest I’ve been in my entire life!

### 5/5 — Great app and instruction

*2024-01-17, version 2.1*

Really enjoying Alice’s workouts. I can definitely see that I’m progressing week-on-week and I like the fact that the workouts get more and more challenging. The instruction is really clear and Alice is friendly and encouraging. I’ve tried lots of different fitness apps and this is definitely one of the best and one that I’m actually sticking too! Thanks Alice and team.

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2024-01-04, version 2.1*

This has honestly changed the way I live my life! I got myself into such a rut in lockdown and Alice has transformed my mindset and love for moving my body!

Love you girl! 💙

### 5/5 — Love this app! You won’t regret signing up

*2024-01-02, version 2.1*

I started doing Alice’s free workouts on Instagram during lock down but bit the bullet and signed up to her December 6 week challenge and it’s definitely worth the money. The workouts are varied, feel very manageable and she explains things really well. I can do them in my tiny flat and you only need dumbbells, a mat and a chair. I felt very motivated doing the 6 week challenge to stick with it and really enjoyed each of the 5 workouts throughout the week. I felt stronger and healthier by the end and am excited to continue with the January 6 week challenge.
