## What is Giver Books?

Giver Books is the easy way to keep your books, made for small businesses in Zambia.

Answer the one question that matters: did you make money today? Record what comes in and what goes out in seconds, and always know where your cash actually is.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Record money in and out fast. Tap a category, pick a wallet, done.
• Speak your transactions. Just say what happened and the app writes it up.
• Scan receipts. Snap a photo and turn it into a record.
• Track every wallet in one place: cash, Airtel, MTN, Zamtel and your bank.
• Reports anyone can read: profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and funds.
• Petty cash the right way. Your team raises requests, you approve, every kwacha is tracked with receipts attached.
• Run payroll built for Zambia, with PAYE, NAPSA and NHIMA worked out for you, and payslips sent to staff.
• Set money aside for a purpose with funds, and see what is left.
• Works offline. Keep recording with no signal and it syncs when you are back online.
• Invite your team with the right level of access.

BUILT FOR ZAMBIA
Kwacha and mobile money come first. The language is plain, not accountant jargon, so anyone on your team can keep the books.

WHO IT IS FOR
Shops, salons, restaurants, traders, service providers and any small business that wants to know if it is making money and where the cash is going.

Your data is yours. Records are kept safe, and you can request account deletion at any time from inside the app.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-05

What's new in 1.0.4

Money I owe (Bills): keep track of the bills you owe suppliers. Record a bill, mark it paid, and get a push reminder when one falls overdue. You can also set a bill to repeat, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or every few days, and Giver Books will add it for you each time.

VAT made simple: switch VAT on and set your rate right in the app. Open your VAT return to see what you charged, what you paid, and exactly what to remit to ZRA for any period, then export it (PDF or CSV) for your records.

A fresh dark mode: a cleaner, true-black look that is easier on the eyes.

Also in this update: edit the figures on money owed to you, correct a mistyped stock price, smoother sheets and lists, and a number of small fixes.

Thank you for using Giver Books.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-03

Thanks for using Giver Books! This update helps you keep track of what you are owed:
- Money owed to you: record money a customer owes you without raising an invoice, see who is overdue, send an SMS reminder, and record the payment when they pay.
- A tidier Home: your most-used actions sit up front (Money owed, Payroll, Invoices, Sell), and you can drag to reorder them to suit you.
- Performance improvements and bug fixes.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-02

Thanks for using Giver Books. This update makes selling and getting paid easier:

- Sell on credit: record a sale your customer pays for later, keep track of what you are owed, and take the payment when it comes in.
- Quick-add customers: save a customer right at the till, with their phone and email, so credit sales and invoices are faster.
- Manage your products more easily, including removing ones you no longer sell.
- Speed improvements and bug fixes across the app.
