Now however , most of the cards I’ve loved have been graded “Premium”! A friend gifted me $100 through Givingli to redeem for a gift card of my choice. To access the gift, I had to download the app, create an account, and provide my phone number. Annoying, but manageable. The real issue started when I redeemed the gift for a Best Buy gift card. I was told it would be issued within 24 hours. It’s now been over a week, and the gift card is still stuck in “processing.” I contacted support after the first 24 hours. They were initially responsive but have since stopped replying despite multiple follow-up emails. I’ve received no explanation, no updates, and no estimated resolution date. A simple gift card redemption should not take over a week with no communication or resolution. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this platform to anybody. A few weeks later while at the mall I claimed the gift card and guess what? I couldn’t use it, it said it’s processing and would take 24hrs. Here we are, over a week later and still processing, now contacted customer support they’re waiting for who knows what. Basically I’ll need to contact the person who gifted me this card to tell them to dispute the charges because this is a scam. Support team does not answer or help and am out money. It seems from reading other reviews people have experienced the same things. ### 1/5 — Exploitative Subscription Model and Failed Gift Experience *2026-07-25, version 5.2.7* I purchased the membership and a gift card for a friend. The Givingli link failed to send the gift to my friend and I also cannot find the gift purchase at all in my account. It created an awkward moment when the sent link opened nothing for her and she had to explain it didn’t work. I see the purchase in my bank, money is gone, but the gift link is broken. Additionally, in order to extract profits, Givingli does not offer any refunds for the subscription and any accidental purchases even if you don’t use it, requires the yearly membership even if you’d only need it for a few months, and furthermore immediately removes your subscription benefits once you cancel your one year membership in order to get you to forget when you need to cancel ( and auto-renew) if you don’t want to renew another year. Horrible business practices ### 1/5 — Never use this app *2026-06-29, version 5.2.7* I tried the 3-day free trial there, but I forgot to cancel it, and they ended up charging my card $119. I canceled my subscription because I felt it wasn't worth it, and they still wouldn't refund my money. ### 3/5 — super slow response from customer experience *2026-05-20* there is almost no customer experience and no refund policy. I accidentally purchased a year’s service while i actually wanted just try out for a month. I signed up thinking I was starting a free trial, only to be unexpectedly charged $119 for a yearly subscription without realizing it. The way the subscription is presented feels misleading and unclear. For an app centered around gifting and convenience, the customer experience has been extremely frustrating. Trying to get support and resolve the issue has been stressful, especially after being charged such a large amount unexpectedly. There’s no number or text support to cancel. Sneaky and hard to use. Do not recommend. ### 1/5 — Cards never process on time *2026-08-27, version 5.2.7* Update: I commented on their social media, and only then did someone respond on instagram and forward my information to support, and despite me already having 3 tickets open, instantly after that my card was issued and I got a template response and 1 of the 3 tickets was closed. So this had nothing to do with a merchant issue or what, I have no idea. I do not believe they actually have a support team checking their tickets or requests. Which is why i believe there have been so many users saying the same thing, we are getting no responses to our tickets. I have no clue what is going on with this company but something is deeply wrong with its operating model. This is the 2nd time now that I received a card but it never processed on time. And it only ever processed when I reached out to support, now I have reached out to support and have gotten no response. It’s been multiple days. Terrible customer service. I used to love using it to send cute birthday cards along with a gift card to friends and family and it used to be legit! Now I’m afraid it feels like they just take your money and run, leaving the recipient without their gift. I purchased a gift card for my nephew on the 21st and when I asked what he bought with it, he told me he was never able to use it because it just said “processing.” I checked on his phone, and yep, it’s been sitting as “processing” since last week. I’ve been trying to get a hold of customer service but of course, they only provide an email that they never responded to. I felt so sad for my nephew and also for myself because this whole time I’ve been giving out gift cards through this app and people were never able to use them.
