If she falls, she can call me! It’s not so complicated as an Apple Watch and it’s affordable! It has just enough contacts for her to stay connected. It makes us both feel very secure!!! ### 2/5 — How un usable this app is *2026-07-31, version 9.3.9* I found gizmo very difficult to log into from the very beginning I had it for about 2 months and then once I did t use the app for 2 days and then it logged me out and when I tried to log back in it said not able to log you in at this time and it continued to say that and to this day 7 months ago I was not able to log in Becuse it said it had the same problem it wouldn’t let me make a new account Becuse I had to log back in to delete the old account so I am stuck with the app permanently I can’t even delete the app on my phone. I have to delete the account to delete the app on my phone, once again, I cannot sign in because it keeps saying error. We cannot log you in at this time. ### 3/5 — Good, but poor volume and glitches *2026-07-21, version 9.3.9* Gizmo is nice, but the volume on it is poor. It’s difficult for my child to hear me, especially when she is in a small group of friends. The real time messages glitch. Other than that, we have enjoyed it for years. ### 2/5 — Not what we thought *2026-06-25, version 9.3.9* We knew the watch could only communicate with approved numbers but didn’t realize that was only for calls. Texting requires using the gizmo app and can only be used for numbers that have been assigned to guardians. We want to be able to text normally without needing to have the app open and we want our child to be able to message with people on their approved list. Getting replacement chargers is also really difficult. Additionally dealing with Verizon is always a nightmare. If we had this to do over, we’d choose a different device. ### 5/5 — New to this *2026-06-13, version 9.3.7* So far so good my son and I both love we get to communicate when not together I recommend ### 4/5 — Great App, Flaws on Apple’s End and Watch doesn’t last too long *2026-06-11, version 9.3.8* My brother & sister have gizmo watches, and I had one as well when I was younger. The watches themselves are nice, and I love being able to text them from my phone as well as track them. Location is a little slow, but still accurate. However, as I am an older sibling I have had issues with access. These seem to be more on Apple’s end though. Restrictions have to be turned off for me to access the app, which is annoying. Additionally, the watches themselves only last about 2 years. Overall, great product and is amazing for kids who shouldn’t have phones yet, however older siblings with iPhones need restrictions turned off & the watches don’t last too too long. Edit: If app age rating restrictions are below 18+, the parents need to approve a request from the child. I have no idea why it is rated 18+, it shouldn’t be, but it is. ### 5/5 — Watch *2026-05-28, version 9.3.7* Love it ### 3/5 — It worked until it didn’t. *2026-05-23, version 9.3.7* I can’t see my daughter’s location and my messages to here seem to disappear. I logged a question on the app and never received a response. There are no notifications working on the iPhone app for Gizmo. I have done everything with the settings... nothing works. The whole point is for my daughter to message me... but how can I know there's a message if there's no notification badge. Yes I have banners set up but I work at a job where I'm not constantly on my phone. This is likely an easy bug fix but Verizon for whatever reason isn't willing to fix it. ***If you had the same issue and found a random way to fix it that isn't telling me to turn on my notifications, that would be great information to post on Reddit** Battery life seems fine. Ease of use for my daughter seems Great. School mode is great. Very irritating and frustrating. Why change what was working great. ### 1/5 — Transfer to VF *2026-06-12, version 9.3.8* The GizmoHub is a great app. However, Verizon recently made the decision to force their customers to use a new app and this includes the Gizmo watches. Customers will need to download this new app to replace the GizmoHub. We downloaded the Verizon Family app which has now bricked our Gizmo Watch, it is locked in school mode and Verizon cannot figure out how to get it out of school mode. Their solution was to factory reset the watch and reconnect it to the GizmoHub, that I have explained a million times to them no longer will work. Every time I hit the GizmoHub app, there is just a picture and a message that we have to use the VF app from now on. So if I factory reset the watch….i cannot reconnect it to the GizmoHub because it does not exist. Verizon has made a mistake and not doing anything to try to make it right. Yes. School mode is turned off. The VF app is registering it as on though. Yes. I have restarted and turned off phone and watches. Yes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both apps numerous times. Not sure what else to do at this point. Not sure Verizon cares. ### 1/5 — So slow *2026-06-08, version 9.3.7* Everything is so slow with this app. It takes forever to load and to locate my child. I have tried changing my email address in my profile but I receive an error message stating that my phone number is already tied to an account/Gizmo and I should check the number again. I have also tried the “forgot my username” and “forgot password” links. When I do this and I enter my new email address, I receive an error message that states this email is not in our system, or something like that. I have called Verizon twice. They have been pleasant but have not solved anything. They even sent me another Gizmo thinking that would help but when I tried to start/activate the new one, the same thing happens. Verizon put in a ticket to Gizmo last week but have not heard anything back yet. ### 1/5 — Not working! *2026-05-25, version 9.3.7* The messages disappear, calls stopped going through and I can’t track my kid on the map.
