I love this game! If you're looking for an addictive golf game that you can play for hours and hours, this is it! Be careful though, you might find that the day has just passed you by!

Update: So I've tried playing on my iphone13 and the swing button doesn't allow me to get a full power swing. I have to cut my swing short, which causes double and triple bogeys, trying to get to the green. My previous review was for a desktop computer (5*'s). But with the iphone13, I'm being generous with 3*s. I hope you see this review and create a fix for it.

Great game, been playing it for years, however, I just got a new iPhone XR, my apps updated, and this one no longer functions at all. Please fix the touch/swing button on the new iPhones!!!

I too have been playing this game for 5-6 years periodically.  It is not terribly hard but if you understand golf you can use it very much to your advantage.  This would be 5 stars if it was not for the putting. Still trying to figure it out on uneven lies.

I have been playing this game on and off since it first came out (must be at least 4 years).

I really enjoy it. It's simple in looks but quite challenging when you play it. As conditions change, the game changes in complexity. Just like the real game if golf. 

I really like it and hope the developers stay with it!!

This golf app is the best!!!!  Great to play this on trips in cars and planes.  I enjoy playing with my son who beats me even more times than I desire to admit.   Strongly encourage those who love the game of golf or not to get this app.

Excellent physics and realistic gameplay...dozens of courses available. Upgrading your clubs makes a noticeable improvement in game play.

I remember buying this full game when there was only about maybe 20 courses available. Let me tell you ever since then they keep adding more and more courses that challenge and sometimes make you really mad but just like the game of golf in real life you keep coming back for more. I've had all types of games installed on my phone over the years but this is the only one that I've kept throughout its a must buy for sure and for even more fun buy a few course packs and keep trying to beat your scores!

I absolutely love this game, best one I’ve had on my mobile. However, the app is no longer working. I’ve restarted my phone, deleted the app and downloaded it again, nothing works. It won’t allow me to start the swing, I paid good money for a game I can’t even play.

Adding the golfer has ruined the game. His head gets in the way of the line of site on putts making the game unplayable. Also, in the old version, the club moved while making the swing. This was an important visual input and it has gone away. I played the old version endlessly, I would like it back. There used to be an option to remove the player but that seems to have been removed.

I paid 10 dollars for the first version of regular GL golf. Later on, the deluxe version came out. I grumbled but paid another 10 dollars. But now there is now in-app purchases! How can you do this to us!? I paid 20 dollars and this is what I get? Never, ever, buy this game. It's a terrible game with low-replay value, if any at all.

The graphics are uninspiring, but not a problem at all. The only thing that bothers me about it is the menus and stuff are pretty poorly designed and with poor usability.

BUT, it has (by far) the best gameplay of any golf game on the App Store. By far. And that, simply enough, takes the cake for me. I can’t go back to the nicer graphics that come with awful gameplay in the other golf games.

If you’re a golf enthusiast looking for a fun way to pass the time (and don’t care about the RPG aspects of collecting equipment or playing head to head and whatnot), this is the game for you.

Love this game! However, I tried playing tonight and chose a Course, the golfer wasn’t “me” and the swing button didn’t work. I don’t remember the sequence of events but I tried customizing the golfer again. It seemed to work but the swing button didn’t work.  So I delete all open apps, shut phone off and back on, opened game...same thing. Closed game and opened. Different golfer every time. 

It’s got a problem!!!

This game looks like some of the first golf games that came out on PC many years ago, but don't let that scare you. It is very addictive and has a lot of courses to play .

This is the best iPad golf game I have ever played. The game makes you think about all the same factors you have to consider in a real game:
- yards to go
- elevation differences
- wind direction and speed
- club selection
- drawing and fadeing to curve around trees
- accurate line up for every shot
- slope on the green
- hazards

The authors also keep adding new courses of varying difficilties...both models of actual courses as well as very challenging imaginary courses with very difficult terrain, foliage, and obstructions.

This is the best I have found and I hope the developers keep adding new courses!
