Now I can’t read anything in the app as it’s now set to default language (no longer English). We use it primarily on vacations to stay sort of artificially connected to a pair of cats. Installation was easy. The app is barebones but you can literally take advantage of all functions in a straightforward way and isn’t that what software should do? The company is very responsive with the website’s chat window. A couple of weeks ago I was getting the robot ready for an upcoming late summer vacation and discovered only one wheel was powered, so all it could do was turn in a circle. After some communication, the company offered to send a new replacement Hiibo robot. It was at my door in less than 30 hours and works beautifully. We have a couple of places with abrupt thresholds to climb over and the robot’s large wheels make this easy. The interface in the app is intuitive, simple, and comprehensive. The app is far better than the reviews indicate. If you have difficulty with initial WiFi access try pressing and holding the power button for about 10 seconds and it will reset back to factory default and then you’ll just restart the connection process. After signing into your wireless router, the app will generate a QR code on your phone that you will show to your robot’s camera to finalize the connection. Hold the phone steady about 6-8 inches from the camera lens. ### 5/5 — Love it!!! *2024-03-21, version 1.1.9* I love this app to mess with my dog and now my dog trust it since I always drop treats 😀 ### 5/5 — Can be improved, but it is not bad. *2023-07-08* I read the reviews on Amazon when purchasing the robot and they are all mostly happy. I am surprised by low star reviews here as. Honestly I feel like they didn’t figure out how to set it up and use controls - I almost had same opinion about non-continuous movement , but then I figured if u press the circle not arrows - it goes continuously. I feel that for 100$ for Guliguli robot on Amazon - this is amazing. It moves, it has food dispenser, two way audio that works great and video that covers whole room from floor to ceiling. You get less for 200$ + from other alternatives. The app controls are a bit confusing at first, and maybe a guide on screen would be useful or demo video - but not the end of the world. Arrows are only for turning or tiny increment move, press the fat circle to start continuous move in direction that you have “determined &set” by arrows. U can also move that circle as u press it slightly around - and it will adjust the moving direction. Just be gentle on the input and play with it at first :) try to put it into other room and make it to urself - it’s pretty fun) The laser is cute but I am least stoked about it since it directed at eyes by accident (e.g. ur pet looks onto robot) - it will hurt their retina, so I don’t anticipate to use that function a lot. Treat dispensary function is awesome - it actually is so spacious there that u could put half day of food in one section (for 10-15pound cat) - so great way to manage weight. I think it is not the best app out there - but for the price - this is pretty great. No subscription.
