Every roadtrip that takes 12-16 hours, I would grind this game for hours on end. It has been a dream come true that there’s a game like no other. Truly underrated and unseen. This is a hidden treasure that should be shown to everyone, and this should be recognized by more. Now, I believe that if this game had much of the elements from PC, there would be a much harder, yet even more enjoyable experience for gamers like me. I wish to see wars between other kingdoms (like Rome and Carthaginians). Moreover, new bosses throughout gameplay. He is able to fight online players, add friends, and has a graveyard to show all the gladiators that didn’t fare so well. For all the people saying it’s too hard I say “skill issue”. First time playing I crashed and sank after like 20 something weeks but I made a new save and since then the game’s amazing! Only thing I don’t like it something will happen to a gladiator or beast and they’ll die and I’ll search having no clue what happened. There’s no tutorial and no way to succeed after the first 1 or 2 fights. You buy 1 gladiator, equip him the best that you can, win your first time in the arena and then a bunch of dumb dialogues take the rest of your money. Attempt your next time in the arena just to get destroyed. I’ve played this game for 2 hours and every single time it’s the exact same thing. Don’t waste your time! ### 1/5 — deleted the game *2026-01-17, version 2.23* these guys scammed me. i deleted the game for a time because i got mad at what happened. there’s no option to “restore purchases” which i thought legally every game has to have. if you buy gems and dlc in the game never delete it or get a new phone because if you ever remove the app the dlc leaves with it. absolute scam i can’t believe it cuz the game is decent which is sad. ### 1/5 — Bad game design *2025-12-23* This game looks good on the surface, but I cannot recommend it. It constantly punishes the player through no fault of their own. There are unavoidable weekly events, and I think all but one are negative. On top of that, there’s a gladiator rebellion that happens throughout the game, and they come and take all your gladiators and destroy your base. Then you have to start again. There really is no point in training gladiators. So, I ignored the gladiator mechanics and focused solely on passive income, and even then the game is designed to punish you there too. There is actually no way to progress, making it pointless to play. Save yourself the time and skip this game, I do not recommend it. ### 1/5 — Absolutely Horrible *2025-12-16, version 2.23* Play for a bit and you’ll see what I mean, some of the options don’t even correspond to what can actually happen. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2025-10-31* This game is built against the player in more ways than one, if you love getting kicked in the balls every week by an unavoidable event that ends with an always a very significant negative impact on your gameplay. Masochists dream game right here! Like if Grimdark met the coliseum. Try tetraides for your first gladiator, he is a good murmillo! Game has extreme potential but is held back by its constant negative events. Many can be turned positive but that’s only if you have the influence/gold to spare. It’s not very easy to keep up a stock of gold if every other event takes half of your entire budget. Gold is rather difficult to produce, at week 23 my Tetraides died to three barbarian raiders attacking and while that was my fault for sending him to his death, I felt it was impossible to start back up and was too far behind because I had less than 50 gold due to previous gold-draining events, overly expensive upgrades, an all around difficult time just to make money, and now no gladiator. Had 2 lions, but discovered that they aren’t that great… ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time playing this. *2025-06-26* This game feels like being in an unsupportive family, the way everything goes and is against you. For example if you send you gladiators to the rookie league without nothing he’ll die, so you’ll think if you buy him amor and swords and all the good stuff you’ll be good to go WRONG after you go broke after buying him stuff it turns out your enemy/rival bribed the guards so now you have to fight a dude riding a RHINO IN THE ROOKIE LEAUGE like what is this, what a Joke of a Game don’t waste your precious time playing this game you will regret most of these reviews have to be fake or people who got nothing to do with their life’s. **Developer response:** Hey friend, that's quite a passionate review! Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts. ### 1/5 — Terribly made *2025-03-19, version 2.11* Half the screen is gone , text is always missing , there’s so many stupid events and it takes so long to do anything in the game. It seems like camp upgrades don’t actually do anything and most matches you will loose to stupidly powerful opponents! Over all very poorly put together game. The game just ends with no warning doesn’t even give you chance to finish properly and most of the upgrades you buy with gems don’t do anything for example the smith upgrades wasted 300 gems to find I already can make the armour and weapons and you can’t augment them like it says. Stay away don’t waste your time!! ### 1/5 — DESPERATELY needs balancing. *2024-10-17, version 1.42* Not sure why my review disappeared, but as it stands this game is horribly balanced. Unless you just get absurdly lucky with your first gladiator, you will spend the rest of the game getting your boys injured in the arena and your estate getting obliterated by roving gladiator rebels, who will either kill any half-decent warrior you have, or just completely destroy your entire estate, including workers, effectively rendering you back to square 1. Oh, but the other houses never have that issue. Really gives you something awesome to grind and Work up for. This game is honestly so fun. I’m so addicted. I get chronically depressed when one of my gladiators die in combat because i worked so hard training them up and making them special. Still could use with a few extra pieces of armor, I feel like it would be nice to have just a few more options. And then the last addition I think would be a win loss counter. Just so you can keep track of how much you’re gladiators have fought total and maybe how many kills. I know you can kind of do it with fame but depend depending on win or lose it’ll go up and down. All in all a very fun game that encourages you to grind and unlock things! 9/10 from me Edit: I still love this game but after playing a punch and making it to my ascension level three, I’ve learned some more things that I would like to add to my review. At first off like to say that I’m still playing this game and I thought it was willing to come back and edit my review so these things shouldn’t make her break the game for you, buttttt…. 1)After grinding and completing most of the achievements (40/45) Which I’ll give you gems, I learned that there isn’t enough achievements to unlock all of the campaign upgrades. I personally spent the money so I could get the was only a few dollars less than 10, but I still think that that is a big negative in the game. 2)the scaling value on fame seems to be a little much even if you get to the very end (don’t want to spoil it, but if you’ve laid EYEs on it, you know what I’m referring to) you’re pretty much missing a whole row of the options. 3)rivals gladiators become very trivial after about week 65 they don’t level them up strong enough. They need like one or two champions with all stats in the 20s at least to compete. 4) there needs to be tournaments that are fought to the death every time or at least the championship round is to the death. High to your gladiators dying as devastating, but it should be Incorporated. Overall, I still love this game and I’m not gonna change the five star review because it does deserve it just some additions and things I think that need to be added. ### 5/5 — Best game on the App Store *2026-07-17, version 2.25* This game is as close to perfect as you can get. 10/10 no notes ### 5/5 — I absolutely LOVE this game *2026-07-03, version 2.24* Been playing this game for about 2-3 years now, and just can’t get enough of it!!! Different equipment, classes, skills, bonus traits/powerups that they can get. iOS I think may be less up to date than Google version. Pacing feels a bit weird.
