## What is GlanceHQ?

GlanceHQ turns the things schools, clubs and other parents send you into one calm brief, on the days there's something to know.

Photograph a paper flyer, forward a school email, or paste a WhatsApp message. GlanceHQ reads it, pulls out the dates, times, costs and deadlines, and works out which of your children it applies to. In the morning you open one screen and know what today needs.

When a school moves a date, your brief moves with it, and tells you what changed.

What it does:
• Reads photos, PDFs, forwarded emails and pasted messages
• Filters everything to the right child, by year group
• Gathers forms, payments and things to bring into one list you tick off
• Morning and evening briefs, on the days there is something worth sending
• Weather worth knowing about, flagged as a suggestion rather than a fact
• Shared across both parents and every device

GlanceHQ is not a calendar or a planner. It reads the unstructured things a calendar never holds, so you stop being the only one keeping it all in your head.

Your family gets a private address to forward to. Your own inbox keeps the originals. We only read what is sent to that address, and you can delete everything in one tap.

This app makes it effortless to keep all those moving parts visible in one place so nothing slips through the cracks. At the same time, I rely on it heavily to manage my small business operations, content schedules, and daily task lists without feeling overwhelmed. It hits the perfect balance of keeping my personal life and entrepreneurial work organized in a single, clean workspace. I couldn't run my days nearly as efficiently without it!

### 5/5 — Needed this!

*2026-08-18*

I get so overwhelmed with all the emails from the school (and doctor’s offices) for my kids and this wonderful app has made life so much easier by pulling everything that’s important and listing out important tasks and dates. And the daily briefing is a godsend so I don’t forget what’s important for each day. I don’t know how I ever lived without this app. Haha!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.2 — 2026-09-04

Your first brief now gets a moment. When the first things you add land on Today, a short celebration plays over the brief itself, once.
The month view keeps past days, so you can go back over Wednesday's school info instead of finding an empty day.
Before you subscribe, the home-screen widget shows an invitation rather than your rows.
Clearer subscription wording. One subscription, monthly or yearly, and the button says what it does.
Event icons are chosen more accurately, and fixes to them arrive without an update.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-09-02

Links in your brief emails now open the app, straight to your day.
Finding your school is easier: helpful suggestions when a search comes up empty, and clearer wording when your school or nursery is not in our list yet.
Tell a Friend has a fresh look, shows its progress, and shares properly by email.
Small fixes and polish.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-31

Sign in with Apple and Google. One tap to make an account, or to get back in on a new phone.

Ask Gigi can see the whole school year now, not just the next five weeks.

Children at a Scottish school now get P1 to P7 and S1 to S6 year groups.

Tapping a link in your brief now opens GlanceHQ, not a browser.

The Plan tab says what you get before it asks for anything, and the yearly saving is shown in real figures.

Fixed: on smaller screens the access sheet could cover the brief behind it

### 1.3.2 — 2026-08-30

See what is waiting before you choose a plan. That screen now shows your real briefing behind it: your school’s own dates, filtered to your children, instead of a description of them.

New families see which school website GlanceHQ is reading, and the dates arrive on the screen while they are still looking at it.

Also in this release: the To Do list and Good to know cards have a way back to the top, the “new since you were last here” bar can be dismissed, and payment portals now name Compass in Australia and Kindo in New Zealand.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-28

GlanceHQ now speaks Australian and New Zealand school years. Pick your country during setup and see Prep, Kindergarten or Year 1 to 13 the way your school says it, with school search covering more than 13,000 Australian and New Zealand schools. Tips and examples across the app now use your country's own words, from mufti days to your school payments portal. Plus small fixes and polish.
