## Newest reviews (14 of 51)

### 1/5 — Notifications works but does not navigate properly

*2022-08-05*

App needs more work to do. Struggling to get right info.

### 2/5 — CW Games browser

*2022-08-05*

The main problem with this is it’s not really an app. Almost everything I want to look at opens a browser. When you’re using that browser to check, say the detailed schedule for, say, Men’s Doubles Badminton over the next few days, once you have looked at tomorrow, when you go back it resets so you have to choose MDB again. It also doesn’t update quickly enough, so a few hours later, it still doesn’t have the results of…the diving preliminary round, say, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to force a refresh. The feed is pretty good, though it seems focused on giving me England news instead of the two countries I have entered as favourites. However it does give me the sports I want, and the sparing notifications of medals in sports I have asked for works ok.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2022-08-05*

Bad experience

### 1/5 — Worst App

*2022-08-05*

Ridiculously bad

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2022-08-05*

This is awful. Info is incomplete. Doesn’t give the full list of competitors or results. Pitiful. Clunky and freezes a lot.

### 1/5 — Easier to Google

*2022-08-03*

Horrible app. If you’re thinking of getting this to stay up to date with the games, just google it. No updates on news, medals tally stuck on day 1. Tap on a notification, goes to a blank page. Half of the links take you to a website and out of the app anyway. Completely pointless. Would understand if it was like this for a day or two but we are now a week into the games and nothing has changed, regardless of the dozens of 1 star reviews already posted.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2022-08-03*

Looking up a schedule and trying to follow a country is painstaking. You have to go through so many steps to get close to what you want. My feed is still sitting at 5 days ago and won’t update. It’s so disappointing to see such a badly put together app. The notifications tell you when your country wins a medal but if you click on it it send you to your feed that is still 5 days ago. Can’t even give it 1 star.

### 1/5 — Very poor effort

*2022-08-03*

Feels like something that was designed by a committee who liked the idea of an app but had never used one. Not user oriented, not user friendly, doesn’t feel like there was any user testing. Did anyone ask what the users wanted?

### 1/5 — Inconsistent & unreliable

*2022-08-03*

Doesn’t work in landscape on ipad. Filtering by sport has missing info. Events missing on session view. Doesn’t show any timing info - have to go to the website which is also poor. Uses less than half the screen to show the detail. Just not reliable enough. Seems to be the norm for major sporting event websites and apps.

### 1/5 — Massive disappointment

*2022-08-02*

I have to say, this is the worst ‘games app’ I have seen / experienced…ever. I think it puts the games organisers and event (sadly) in poor light. I think the organisers have made a deliberate decision to under-invest here. They clearly have not invested in processes and infrastructure to keep global fans ‘in the loop’. They obviously believed it would not deliver return on investment. Surely it’s not that hard to learn from prior games and just ‘copy and paste’ and gather review feedback? Poor form for the UK-based organisers to have so little regard for global fans.

### 1/5 — Poor

*2022-08-02*

This is one of the most clunky apps, I have ever seen for a major event. To get to results, is a nightmare. Then if you dare to want to understand times or performance, the information is missing. I agree we should celebrate inclusion, but to say someone broke a games record, but not indicate by how far or what their achievement was, is poor

### 1/5 — How can it be so hard?

*2022-08-01*

How can an app these days be so clunky and hard to navigate. Scores are hard to display when live.

### 1/5 — Errors not information

*2022-07-31*

Whenever I try to get more details it keeps giving me a 404 error message. It’s a waste of time trying find out what is happening.

### 1/5 — Absolutely Rubbish

*2022-07-31*

Where is the medals table? I can’t find it. Why can’t I mark favourite events, or teams or sports so that I can just check my favourites each morning to determine what time the event I want to watch starts without scrolling through 500 screens? It is supremely difficult to find what you want to watch. In 2017 the CG were awarded to Birmingham after Durban couldn’t host, 5 years to develop an app that works properly but instead it’s garbage.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — pretty useless

*2026-07-24*

doesn’t show results, doesn’t allow you to filter events by country and hides the daily schedule away in multiple menus. just use the website which has all the same information, this app is a waste of storage space

### 1/5 — As irrelevant as the event

*2026-07-24*

Absolutely pathetic app. The schedule section doesn’t have country-wise filters, and the filters themselves don’t work most of the time. The app keeps crashing and is painfully slow. The app developers seem to be as unbothered as the organisers of an event that is well past its sell-by date.

### 1/5 — Slapdash and rubbish

*2026-07-24*

This is very basic, the schedule shows what sports are taking place on a day but does not list the events. There is no option to sign in using email, it insists using a Google account or Apple account, which is a hard no. There is a captive audience on this, if people are interested in the CG 2026 (let’s hear it for the UK again stepping in when another city doesn’t honour their commitments), this is the app they would choose. But it’s rubbish, don’t waste your time.

### 1/5 — Extremely poor

*2022-08-08*

One of the worst apps I’ve come across. Needs so much work.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2022-08-08*

I don’t know who designed this but the navigation is terrible and if you don’t turn notifications of it will spam you regardless of what your settings are. I have my notifications set to my favourite teams and event only and it literally spams me every event and medal. Nothing makes sense trying to find out any information. A real shame for something that should complement the event.

### 1/5 — Possibly one of the worst apps ever.

*2022-08-07*

Absolutely useless for keeping track, or even knowing what’s coming up at the Comm Games.

### 1/5 — Looks nice, terrible app

*2022-08-07*

Everything opens up in a browser, some of the results I looked at were wrong, not intuitive at all - it was a maze to find the information I wanted. The one star is for the schedule page being marginally helpful.

### 1/5 — Really poor App

*2022-08-07*

What a real shame that giving the Commonwealth Games has been so successful this App is really poor. The biggest problem is that when you click on “Results” the App gives you information on the daily Schedule and how to buy tickets!

### 1/5 — Terrible unfriendly app

*2022-08-06*

This app is awful. Too hard to navigate you can’t get a quick summary of the days medals you have go through the awful detailed results.
Initially I was able to have it in my time zone but with the last update it has reverted to local time and I can’t seem to find where to change it. Overall an extremely user unfriendly app.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2022-08-05*

Developers should have tried using it before they released it. Not intuitive at all. My favourites (country) feed is stuck on 1 week ago. We’ve won a few medals since then!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Loves an app

*2026-07-17*

Looks great, easy to navigate and already loads of useful info before the games have even started!

### 5/5 — Loving the Games App

*2026-07-16*

Great App for finding out all the info on the games and whats happening in the city. So exciting to see it all come together. Go Glasgow.

### 5/5 — Glasgow 2026

*2026-07-16*

This makes me excited for the games ahead! Second time for Glasgow who always deliver amazing international sporting events! Can't wait! Go Team Scotland

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2022-08-06*

Helps keep up with the latest score and when events are happening

### 5/5 — Really liked the app

*2022-07-31*

Great to keep up to date with events. easy to find results and schedule. Not clunky and seems pretty efficient

### 5/5 — Time zones

*2022-07-30*

Everyone complains about timezones but this works fine for me after the new updates

### 3/5 — Allow account login

*2022-07-30*

I would also say it would be improved by allowing account login for ticket info, but otherwise pretty good.

### 3/5 — Pretty good app

*2022-07-24*

It seems a good app, but cannot find a way to show times in my local time zone. It won’t be very useful if I have to convert times of each event.
Hope this can be fixed before the games open.

### 3/5 — Good but could be better

*2022-07-19*

Good app to be updated, however, as a suggestion I would recommend to be able to login with the Commonwealth account, so the user would be able to access the tickets as well as the agenda of the tickets bought.

### 2/5 — Poor user experience

*2022-08-05*

Details are really hard to get. I’ve set up alerts for Australia, but “my news” consists of just one event on day one. If I get a medal alert, it won’t link to any information on the specific race or event. It is usable, but just barely. Kinda like the commonwealth itself.
