### 4/5 — One critique

*2026-08-01*

I’m learning and enjoying so much from others’ photo perspectives. And I do really appreciate that Glass is not intended as a mass storage space as it refines the choices of what is posted. I just wonder though if others too would like it if it was possible to upload even just two photos at a time without having to make it a series .. rather than the current limit of one.

**Developer response:** We appreciate the feedback! As I'm sure you've read, we currently have one upload at a time to promote a more mindful, less fast-paced sharing experience. However, your vote in this direction does help us keep a pulse on what members find helpful. Thank you!

### 2/5 — No Different

*2026-05-08, version 5.3.0*

Nearly every year I try this app again and the issues are never resolved. The app keeps changing my privacy settings, still. No privacy, no participation.

### 5/5 — Amazing app, worth the price

*2026-04-20, version 5.3.0*

Can’t explain how perfect an app this is for posting photos and exploring photography. The design, the community of photographers, and stunning quality. Feels like a small company passion project in the best way. Hope it keeps growing and improving!

### 5/5 — A true photography community

*2026-03-23, version 5.2.0*

I love many things about Glass: it’s thoughtful and elegant design, the way it pushes back against mindless tapping and scrolling, and the ways it fosters authentic sharing and community. In 2026, it’s a blessing to be able to share an image from any platform and get out of the mobile editing/cropping workflow. I also love the way it pulls in image metadata, and the concept of series.

### 5/5 — There is Good in the universe!

*2026-02-27, version 5.2.0*

No ads. No algorithms. No spam. No memes. No influencers. No reviews. No marketing. No data mining. No noise. No clutter. No distractions. No ‘like’ FOMO. And thankfully, not “free”.
I greatly prefer paying real money for the privilege and experience that the internet promised before big tech and advertisers ruined it.
To the devs, I rate you 100/10. Thank you for making this for people that care about photography.

### 5/5 — Clear as Glass

*2026-02-16*

amazing community! the best features for me are the ability to search for photos made with specific cameras and lenses and the chill interaction and encouraging comments between members. tired of facebook groups? the question is not why glass but why not glass 🖤

**Developer response:** You're asking the right question! Massive thanks!

### 5/5 — Todd tagmeyer

*2026-02-04, version 5.1.1*

I cant pull up my collections, the last two glass downloads took my phone out of the loop!

### 3/5 — SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED

*2026-02-04, version 5.1.1*

This could be a great app and a great way to meet other photographers and see their work, but it appears that you need a subscription to even be able to upload photos :/ While some may be willing to pay, it becomes unusable for those who are beginners and want to start in the community.

### 5/5 — Simple, beautiful, and featured

*2026-01-20, version 5.0.1*

In a world with infinite ways to take and share photos, there’s only two perfect ways - by printing and by Glass. I learn something every time I open the app. In addition to this, a real community exists here. I’m glad to pay the small fee for what I get from it. This isn’t Instagram.

### 4/5 — Healthy on-line photo site

*2025-12-31, version 5.0.1*

Sick of smart alecks making snide comments? Glass is a friendly foto sharing community. All decent humans welcome.

### 5/5 — Simply no better app and community for photographers

*2025-12-29, version 5.0.1*

Glass is truly unique and best as a photographer’s community. By excluding “feed algorithms” and videos, promoting metadata (I can see the lens, the camera, the f-stop, more), and paying attention to what photographers need, Glass is doing what over-commercialized “users are the product” sites simply won’t.

### 5/5 — Great community

*2025-12-11*

Great app with a great community always nice to you.

**Developer response:** We appreciate the support! Thank you!

### 4/5 — Useful; needs a UI tweak

*2025-12-05, version 5.0.1*

The Glass app is helpful to look at images, but needs Forward and Back arrows to scroll through a series collection, without having to go back from an individual image to the series page.

### 5/5 — Excellent community

*2025-12-05, version 5.0.1*

Such a good place to post, review and get feedback from other photographers. Really pleasure, and truly built for photographers rather than scrolling addicts ;)

### 5/5 — A very clean App for photographers to showcase photos

*2025-11-26*

I loved the minimal design in Liquid Glass and how straightforward and elegant the app feels throughout.

### 5/5 — Glass App

*2025-11-22, version 5.0.1*

Glass is a wonderful and supportive photography social media group. And the app is intuitive and really allows the photography to shine and human connections to be made.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-05-25*

I found both the Ipad and web versions clunky and hard to navigate. Some features just don’t work (eg on web version when editing a photo and trying to add it to a series or a new series, cannot scroll down to ‘create new’).

Why so many reviewers have given it five stars I cannot image.

**Developer response:** We're sorry to hear your experience was less than great. You may have visited while we were in the middle of rolling out updates, as we've been refining parts of the platform behind the scenes and improving the overall user experience. We're continually working to make Glass better. If you ever decide to give us another try, we'd be happy to have you again!

### 1/5 — The point?

*2026-02-22, version 5.1.1*

First the interface is over-sized and clunky. Also I’m not sure what they’re trying to do here. They don’t allow galleries or publishers in there. They charge people just to log in and view posts. Who am I showing my content to? Other photographers?

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-01-30, version 5.1.0*

If you have an hour to waste trying to register your account go for it.

### 1/5 — dont even bother

*2026-01-18, version 5.0.1*

HUGE paywall. you cant even upload or comment without a membership. you’re better off downloading another app like Foto if you wanna share photos and comment for free. you’re even better off printing your pictures and stapling them to a telephone pole. corporate greed has ruined art.

### 1/5 — Dowloader beware. Not as advertised

*2025-10-16, version 5.0.1*

Based on the “share photos and discover” description, I thought that this would be what instagram used to be, where cool photography was shared. Instead it is a subscription photo catalog.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2025-08-01, version 4.2.0*

Makes you sign in and give all this info and then times out when you try to go forward. Garbage! Delete my info!

### 1/5 — No thanks

*2025-05-02, version 4.1.10*

I did not even bother with the free trial when I saw the prices lol don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — Pay to Post

*2025-02-02, version 4.1.0*

When creating an account, it says we need to sign up for a free trial or else we fan only view (no posting) photos. No, thank you. I thought this would be a good Instagram alternative. Alas.. it's a pay-to-use photo gallery.

### 1/5 — Deceptive trial

*2024-12-02, version 4.0.5*

went to try the free trial, assumed the charge wouldn’t go through if i canceled the trial before the seven days were up. i was charged immediately anyway. extremely deceiving. i dont even want to use the app anymore

### 1/5 — Must pay

*2024-10-13, version 3.7.3*

Should make it clearly paid app in App Store

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic Photographic Community!

*2026-07-26, version 5.4.0*

If you care about photography Glass is an incredible place to share your photos. It’s ad and algorithm free. Just photos displayed beautifully and supportive, positive dialog with other photographers. No “look at me and how great my life is” posts/reels/etc.

### 5/5 — iPhone 14

*2026-07-24*

Very cool place for all who like photography to share photo and inspira photos

**Developer response:** Thanks for the kind review!

### 5/5 — I enjoy posting photos again

*2026-07-23*

This app has single handedly made me enjoy posting and also taking photos again. Ever since the other app (you know which) has almost fully moved to reels and Ai slop and an algorithm that just wants you to watch more apps this apps approach with a subscription model and so many talented artists are such a joy to use. And one of the most important things for me is that the image quality is actually retained and not crushed down to a horrible pixel mess!!

**Developer response:** Happy to hear you have this experience. Keep creating and thanks for the great review!

### 5/5 — Outstanding!

*2026-07-22*

Three months on Flickr had me searching for something better, and I found that here in Glass. It’s designed to be intentional, with great photo sharing and community. None of the social media rat race. I personally value quality over quantity and found that with Glass. I’m happy to pay to be in a better “neighborhood”. I’m just finishing up my 7-day free trial and happy to say that I received some tips emails during that time, asked some questions to which Stefan quickly replied and received a reminder that my trial was about to expire in case I wanted to cancel before getting charged. That’s a class act and I’m staying. Thanks!

**Developer response:** Doing our best. Thanks so much for the kind review. Happy to have you on the app!

### 5/5 — Where Photographers Actually Belong

*2026-07-17, version 5.4.0*

Sceptical at first, but Glass has become my new favourite app. It’s a breath of fresh air compared to other social media platforms, photo-centric rather than an endless stream of short-form video. The community is full of genuinely talented photographers displaying thoughtful work, and the interaction is refreshingly positive and constructive. If you care about photography as a craft rather than chasing likes, Glass is where you want to be. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Finally

*2026-07-17, version 5.4.0*

A place for serious online interaction.

### 5/5 — Great photos - wonderful people

*2026-07-03*

Really a great photo community. Feels a bit like family! Optically great jpg conversion, very beautiful layout and design of user interface. Great staff and really worth trying it out!

**Developer response:** Love hearing your positive experience with the community, Glass' technical side, and our support. Thanks for the awesome review!

### 5/5 — Indispensable

*2026-06-03*

Superbe réseau social pour les passionnés de photo, terminé Instagram

**Developer response:** Merci beaucoup ! Nous apprécions vos mots !

### 5/5 — Glass Photo App

*2026-06-02*

The Glass photography app is fantastic for anyone into traditional photography! The community is welcoming and the Team continue to build in new innovations.

**Developer response:** We love our community. Thank you for the great review!

### 5/5 — Such an enjoyable community

*2026-04-25, version 5.3.0*

Focused supportive community of individuals who explore photography. Worth a try
