I love the design of the app, it makes reading the articles and understanding the content so incredibly clear and straightforward. A refreshing take on news from both the app designer and the article writer himself. Lovely app lovely content 10/10 recommend

### 5/5 — Not great

*2018-01-28, version 3.6*

Text overlaps hard to read.

### 5/5 — Truth

*2018-01-17, version 3.6*

Thank you Ken for helping those of us that really seek the truth because that truth is a fact and not just my opinion backed by biased fake fox media.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-06-16, version 3.1*

This app gives you everything you need to know in a simplicity nice way.

### 4/5 — A nice way to stay up to date

*2014-05-24, version 3.0.2*

This app's filled with the latest news and it keeps me up to date. Plus I can just play the pinocchio game if i get bored :)

### 5/5 — A wonderful approach from someone who gets iOS 7.

*2014-04-29, version 3.0.1*

This app exemplifies how people should be doing news apps for individual writers. I'm a huge fan of Glenn Kessler's work and this is the best way to keep up with his latest.

The design of the app really stands out. It's simple, straight forward and does everything you'd expect it to and more. Details like push notifications and the Pinocchio are delightful bonus's.

You should definitely get this app.

### 5/5 — Nicely Done

*2014-01-18, version 2.2.2*

Very clean and deferent presentation of long-form text. Video pages are very nicely done. The developer is also a cool kid!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Meh

*2024-01-28, version 4.3.1*

Impossible to view the articles without a subscription. Also impossible to contact Glenn Kessler for assistance, without a Facebook account.

### 1/5 — Too biased

*2020-04-10, version 4.3.1*

Every article I read is one sided. I really thought I was going to get "news" that was straight facts and not so opinionated. Unbiased news is so hard to find these days and it's really sad

### 1/5 — Democratic talking points

*2019-06-05, version 4.2.3*

This is a fact free democratic talking points hoax pretending to have credibility. I wish they were not so blatant in their bias.

### 1/5 — No comments

*2014-04-02, version 3.0*

New version takes away the comments. With the way the comments showed how biased the fact checks are, I can see why they don't want to let you see the comments.

### 2/5 — Bias

*2024-09-14, version 4.3.1*

This app has a CLEAR bias on who they are looking to prove wrong. Majority of the stories that I saw where about one person or people that support him. It’s frustrating because I expected a fact checker to be unbiased, just stating the facts. I was also wanting to see the facts checked on both major sides of the campaign and other things going on in this country but that’s not what this app is. Just not what l was looking for.

### 2/5 — Not really a “Fact Checker” but just another WP outlet

*2018-12-17, version 4.2.3*

Idk if I’m just not using this correctly, or what, but all of the highlighted fact checking articles are just trump criticisms or proving he lied or fibbed. I tried searching “checks” on current Washington Post articles, CNN articles, MSNBC articles, just to try and balance out the bias, but it didn’t show anything of the sort; I tried searching major DNC congressional names related to articles, nothing. Plenty of Trump criticisms and Fox News checks (not that I don’t care, but I get that enough from any stream source). But I couldn’t really find any balance. There were som leftist centered criticism, but as I was reading, there’s a clear feeling of excuse given for leftists who “made a mistake” but a more resentful writing approach to stories about right leaning sources and issues.

So really, it seems like it’s just a more source based echo for articles Kessler wants to “fact check”, but it seems to be heavily trump criticisms, echoing of leftish-msm and adding sources (which you’d think all of those sources would already do), and the writing kinda feels like the usually subtle bias you get from reading any Washington Post article, rather unsurprisingly.
The Pinocchio system just seems a more subtle way to bias how much the devs or writer (don’t know if it’s all Kessler) thinks fibs or lies are impactful, but I don’t find those ratings based in objective logic, more subjective feeling.

If you are an independent thinker and want something that checks all sources of news media for bias or lies, or at least balances its “checks” this isn’t for you. If you want to confirm your assumptions or dislike for Trump, or get sources that more or less support msm, or long winded explanations as to why obvious lies are lies, in a similar style and bias as the WP, this app is for you.

I choose to just search for answers online from various sources that state their bias up front, especially after trying our Kessler’s App - making sure not to use google tho.

### 3/5 — Odd

*2025-02-14, version 4.3.1*

Filter for republican articles works great, the filter for articles related to the democratic party strangely doesn’t work

### 4/5 — Finally!

*2021-07-07, version 4.3.1*

It is comforting to find an unbiased review of information. Straightforward facts instead of trying to second guess a truth.

### 4/5 — Debate

*2020-02-08, version 4.3.1*

Great to have someone checking facts. I always check Kessler after important events like this. Generally, I agree with findings. But many lies go unchecked. When Sanders says that we pay 10 times more for drugs in US than Canada, that is not true. We pay more but not 10 times more. When Sanders says we can lower drug prices by 50%, that can’t be true if average profit margin is 15-18%. These facts can be verified!

### 4/5 — Some problems

*2017-02-04, version 3.5*

I'm having some problems with the app saying "No Connection" and stating it is the app that is causing the problem, this only happens when I click on the tabs that are aggregated by "Pinocchios". I enjoy reading Glenn Kessler's fact checks and The Washington Post is lucky to have him.
