To our surprise when we opened the app our sign was not listed on the nearby device list. We tried uninstalling the app which did nothing, unplugging and plugging back in the sign, as well as restarting the four different devices we tried using to even get the app to register that the sign was nearby. Nothing. We spent $200 on a sign that now turns itself off and on over 2 hours earlier than it is supposed to and no matter what we do it still won’t even show our device in the app. Extremely disappointing to spend this much money and it basically being worthless. We’ve tried contacting the company’s customer support 3 different times via their contact us page in their website and have yet to get a response. Highly recommend finding another brand of sign if you’re using this for your primary business open sign. ### 1/5 — Will not connect to sign *2022-11-07, version 1.1.2* This app has always been giving me problems. Completely close the GLI Open Sign app 2. Unplug your sign from the back for 30 seconds (leave the power switch ON) 3. Open the GLI Open Sign app and leave it open 4. While the app is open, plug the sign back in 5. It’s extremely disappointing that Apple allows company’s that don’t back there product to put apps on their store. I've tried contacting the company's customer support which is non existent. Or they just don’t care to respond. Because the sign uses the most up to date Bluetooth chipset all you do is open the app and plug the sign in and they connect. All these people getting error messages must be looking at their settings like the old way you connect to a Bluetooth device.
