### 2/5 — Captures other lines too

*2025-12-27, version 2.1.1*

It kept capturing other lines too and glitches a lot.

### 2/5 — I don’t like it

*2025-07-16, version 2.1.1*

Every time I scan the pocky it scan the other lines and doesn’t scan the pocky and why do you have to use pocky

### 2/5 — WTH

*2024-09-29, version 2.1.1*

Why does the Pocky not work I faced right but it kept saying left and for your information I had to use nerf gun bullets to get it working please upgrade your sensors coz pocky don’t work but nerf bullets do. So are we supporting nerf? Or pocky?

### 2/5 — It Had The Right Idea

*2023-01-16, version 2.1.1*

This app would be cool if it worked, but it doesn’t, you have to arrange Pocky in real life and use your camera so it sees which way they’re facing and inputs it as the direction a little character moves, it’s cute, but it doesn’t recognize the Pocky and doesn’t input the code right no matter what I put the Pocky on or how much I change the lighting. Plus, I know it’s the company’s app and they want you to buy Pocky, but why do you have to use real Pocky? It’s just impractical. You could make it where there’s Pocky in the game and you arrange that to make code, but using real Pocky is just too much. It would be a great, cute app, and it has the right idea, but it doesn’t work.

### 3/5 — Pocky

*2021-09-17, version 2.1.0*

I like pocky

### 3/5 — Maybe more then pocky?

*2021-08-02, version 2.1.0*

Can you add something where you can using like your fingers or like type it?

### 4/5 — The game is alright

*2021-05-29, version 2.1.0*

There’s only two things about this game that I don’t like one is that you HAVE TO have a white background to take a picture (I have a brown wooden table but I do have white placemats) and another is that sometimes it’s hard to take photos- like I had the white background and it was in the correct order but it wouldn’t take the picture.

### 3/5 — Why do have to use poky

*2021-04-12, version 2.1.0*

I do not get that you have to use poky the app would be fun if you have an option to use poky ore not use poky.

### 3/5 — Ok

*2021-02-21, version 2.1.0*

Its ok i guess

### 1/5 — Honestly bad

*2021-01-04, version 2.1.0*

Big waste

### 1/5 — Pile of trash

*2020-12-20, version 2.1.0*

Get more enjoyment out of stunning my toe in the dark then this clunky game. Save your time

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wth is this mess

*2024-08-05, version 2.1.1*

I normally don’t write reviews but I had to google on how to write this review to drop this down.

1. Anything can be pokey if there is a straight line , my chair ,the curved edge of my plate, my chopstick ,my keyboard , ME?!? .everything is pokey and scannable if you try

2. If you get the code wrong you are still write as long as you hit the goal before spamming random commands. Eg level 3

3. Hug hug seems kinda creepy not gonna lie I was going to file a restraining order against that guy.

4. Camera doesn’t even register for some of the pokey maybe because of flavour colors?

5. Worst of all I think I may have broken the app a couple times by using the app’s contract function a couple times ,so it just freezes on me.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-07-02, version 2.1.1*

I hate it.

### 1/5 — Great Idea, Bad Outcome

*2024-01-19, version 2.1.1*

The idea for this app is cool in my opinion, i used to love coding games when i was younger. but the way it is presented is clanky and hard to use…the camera mode is the main issue, it is very laggy and barely outlines the actual pocky stick and picks up every other line in the camera area.

### 1/5 — Why

*2023-08-01, version 2.1.1*

It’s not how normal coding works!

### 1/5 — Bruh

*2023-05-01, version 2.1.1*

This game is agony. I like pocky and decided to try this game out after seeing it on the side of the box…
But it’s just-
The picture thing with the pocky just doesn’t work that good. You place the pocky in the down position, it registers it as an up command. It’s just…so frustrating!
It’s a cool concept, but it was poorly executed.

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2023-03-08, version 2.1.1*

App deleted my code wen attempting to scan pocky twice.

### 1/5 — Uber finicky

*2022-05-08, version 2.1.1*

This game was fine for the tutorial levels, but once you get to the levels that use more than 2 pocky, the scanner has a stroke and gives you literally every other combination of code it can think of that isn’t the code you put down. Seriously, it’s like the AI is mocking me. This wouldn’t be a problem if the game just let you input code manually, but because the developers are dead set on forcing you to buy pocky, this is not featured. I’m currently stuck on hard 5 because of this primitive trash and if it doesn’t input my code soon, I’m gonna delete this app which is sad because I liked this game until the scanner started committing die like Hal in 2001 a space odyssey.

Also, mia1236574 you can’t count and stop saying you like it 😏

### 1/5 — It’s annoying

*2021-12-19, version 2.1.1*

I put down the code and it gave me the wrong code, it did this multiple times and it was so annoying that’s why I gave 1 star

### 1/5 — Bad quality

*2021-03-21*

“hug hug” was creepy af, the camera quality was moving at 1 fps, i have too many questions.

### 1/5 — Desserted: the story of a good idea, implemented poorly

*2021-02-15, version 2.1.0*

After dinner:
Me: ok! Tonight I am having Pocky for dessert!
*eats Pocky*
Pocky are delicious. mmm Pocky. Ok, time to clean up. Hmm, what’s this QR code on the package?
Oh, cool! It’s a Pocky-based programming environment! That would be kinda cute to see. I’ll have a look later.
. . . later . . .
Me: *scans QR code, installs and starts app*
App: *requests access to camera to see programs written in Pocky*
Me: Huh, weird. I guess everyone’s big on the whole AR thing these days. But I ate the Pocky like half an hour ago, so I’ll just have to enter it on the screen.
App: *message about always washing your hands before you play*
Me: Wait, what? Why would that be mandatory? I mean, sure, if you’re using actual Pocky—oh, no, is laying out Pocky and putting them in front of the camera literally the only way to interact with this app?
App: うん！(Yep!)

Ok, Glico, that was clever, but if I had to buy Pocky every time I wanted to mess around with computer programs when I was a kid, I would have needed bypass surgery before I finished middle school. I understand you’re in the business of selling Pocky, but are you really selling more Pocky by requiring people to have it on hand to use this app? Or are you just making people who would have used it so frustrated with the experience that they give up on it entirely?

And think about it—if someone’s been playing this game for a while, moving digital Pocky around the screen to send Glico mascot Hug Hug around the screen on happiness-based missions, advancing through the challenges of the game solely by their skill at arranging images of Pocky, what do you think they’re going to have in mind the next time they’re at the snack counter? Hi-Chew?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 👍

*2025-07-18, version 2.1.1*

Using Pocky is very fun! I like this game that uses pocky to play!

### 5/5 — 5 STARS

*2024-06-09, version 2.1.1*

★★★★★

### 5/5 — Why do you NEED to use pokey?!

*2023-12-06, version 2.1.1*

Whenever I use pokey it just also scans the other lines so it doesn’t make sense at all

### 5/5 — Improve-

*2021-08-28, version 2.1.0*

I suggest that this app can be reduced in size. this is too large app😭😭😭

### 5/5 — Cool!

*2021-03-01, version 2.1.0*

I actually really like this idea

### 5/5 — Amazing app to learn coding!!

*2021-01-09, version 2.1.0*

I don’t know why everyone is writing terrible reviews. Maybe they don’t understand the concept. As a college student I took a computer science course and coding was hard for me to understand. This App made it so easy for me to learn. I also love the cute theme. It makes learning to code really fun and you learn at your own pace!!

### 5/5 — Stop saying you don’t like it

*2020-12-13, version 2.1.0*

No NEED to HATE

### 5/5 — :)

*2018-12-19, version 2.0.2*

Done it again!

### 4/5 — Good, but I’m stuck on level two

*2026-06-10, version 2.1.1*

You see here that my lines keep on glitching and it keeps on saying arrange the pocky like this and I am doing it

### 4/5 — :3 Could use improvements

*2021-08-13, version 2.1.0*

This is a really cute concept of using pockys as code :D I really like the whole idea and the games is really cute, but my only complaint is that you need a lot of pockys…that and the scanner is kinda…. :/ meh. It is difficult to say the least:D I do enjoy the whole thing I just want some changes -v- but I do like it
