Downloaded the app. Attempted to rent 6 separate scooters and it told me they are unavailable. Couldn’t find one. They don’t exist in my city. How do I get my money back?!?! ### 1/5 — UPDATE: The app doesn’t work *2019-08-09, version 2.5* UPDATE: So I finally logged into the app, I had to use my boyfriend’s email and phone number because it just would not accept mine which was so very extremely annoying. This delayed me almost three months using the app. But I was persistent for some odd reason and was finally able to ride the glide scooter for the first time today. Now I can say with experience I HATE the Glide app and scooter SO MUCH. I activated the scooter and being a first time user I could not figure out how to get the thing started (only for exactly 43 seconds) yet somehow the scooter recorded that I rode 0.27 miles at 16.4 mph even though the scooter was completely stationary (this being because I could not even figure out how to get it started!) I was charged $1.35 for literally standing next to the bike. I finally figured it out (not knowing I was charged for false miles) and rode 0.24 miles to my destination where I was charged another $3.24. I had only loaded the app wallet with 7 dollars and already I was ripped off $4.59 for riding less than 3 minutes.... I am so infuriated this thing is a complete scam, it sucked all my money for not even 5 minutes of riding and even charged me when I wasn’t riding and lied and said I had rode a certain amount of miles at some crazy speed. DO NOT USE THE GLIDE SCOOTER. That was the first and last time I will ever use this piece of junk scam. PS: This is my second review/rating ever (my first one is below) that tells you how incredibly dissatisfied and angry I am with this company that I need to voice my hatred and make sure no one else uses this trash again. Every time I try to sign up it says the user already exists... piece of junk doesn’t work. They need to throw the app out completely and start over. ### 1/5 — Horribly Buggy App *2019-08-01, version 2.5* Signing up was a night mare and had to submit a password request to get it to recognize me and stop poping up indecipherable error messages. Once in the app it is very slow. There are two circles on the screen that I assume have some info in them but they are populated with an ellipsis. ### 1/5 — Glide is bad and should have a better appsuport. *2019-07-09, version 2.4* This app wouldn’t stop the ride and I kept going for a couple of hours and about 15 hours later the ride has actually stopped then I’m checking in my wallet and it says -$92 for a ride that I didn’t even use for 15 hours. I try to call apps or for help and they wouldn’t pick up the phone and I also left them a message and they wouldn’t of answered the message anyways. ### 1/5 — Can’t even create an account *2019-05-15, version 2.3* How am I supposed to use the scooter if I can’t even create an account? Error messages just show ugly lines of Code. Who ever developed this app obviously has a ton of bugs to squash. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Was Originally Ok in El Paso TX but dangerous now *2023-09-22* Recently attempted to use in downtown El Paso and all 8 scooters available in the downtown block I was on were in severe disrepair and DANGEROUS, including loose steering heads, no brakes and sticking accelerators. I’ve called them twice and both times they didn’t answer so I proceeded to email them and again no answer. This has been going on for 1+ hour already, and I’m not paying if it charges me for more if I already tried to end it. ### 1/5 — Scooters don’t work *2020-02-17, version 3.0* Last 5 scooters I tried to ride had no power but the app said they were fully charged. Tried to submit a bad review after each ride and there was a error in submitting it (app works fine until you try to submit a bad review, then it doesn’t work). ### 1/5 — End Ride Button Broken *2019-11-21, version 3.0* I rode the scooter to my building on campus but when I got there, I couldn’t end the ride in the app. It just froze up. Even when restarting the app, the button didn’t work. Now it says I owe four dollars even though I tried to end the ride with three dollars left. ### 1/5 — Stole my money *2019-10-15, version 2.8* Horrible. I unlocked a scooter and it was not moving at all, as if it was still locked. Tried for about 10 seconds to get it going and charged me $1.50, for not even being able to ride it. Fix the error or don’t charge people so much for 10 SECONDS. Imagine a 5 minute ride? ### 1/5 — This app steals your money *2019-09-16, version 2.7* I have been using this app for about a week and have been charged about $30 extra than what I have actually used it. Lots of times it gives me an error when trying to unlock only to find out an hour later that it suddenly activated and stayed on. Also, there is a 50% chance si will get an error when trying to end ride and it stays on for hours. Read how to ride because some people assumed it would just go when you press the throttle, you actually need to give it a little push. Make sure there’s scooters in your city. Support has gotten a lot better to communicate with. I always take the scooter to go to class way quicker and it helps a lot. The only problem that I’ve had with this app is that the “end ride” button is broken. It’s stuck in a loop that it is processing to end the ride but it does not end the ride. They need to fix this ASAP so it doesn’t keep charging me for the ride even though I just stopped using it. Even if the user forgets to end the ride, There should be a mechanism where if the scooter is inactive for five minutes or something like that and automatically end the ride for you. That would be very helpful for many users. Please fix! ### 3/5 — Greats but need a lot of improvement *2019-05-08, version 2.3* They’re great and all but it would be nice if you could rent more than one scooter at the same time with the same account and also sometimes idk if it’s because I was going uphill but it wouldn’t go like at all and sometimes they just don’t want to go so you have to look for another one.
