## What is GliderKeeper App?

GliderKeeper is the management tool for glider pilots and competition
organizers using AMRT altimeters.

Connect to your device over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to:

• Browse flight history — review all recorded flights with their time and
  altitude data, and analyze them on an interactive flight graph with
  slope measurement.
• Live telemetry — view your altimeter's data in real time over Bluetooth.
• Firmware updates — update your altimeter over-the-air (Wi-Fi or
  Bluetooth) directly from the app, downloading the latest versions from
  the cloud. On Windows you can also flash firmware over USB.
• Automatic discovery — locate your device on the local network
  automatically, no IP configuration needed.
• Device control — send control commands directly to the altimeter.

Compatible with most FAI events.

Additional feature: With the appropriate setup, the app can send flight
results directly to GliderScore. Ask us! Feature currently in beta.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-07-15

- Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support: a full new way to connect to your
  device as an alternative to Wi-Fi — connect, send commands, download
  flights and receive live telemetry over BLE.
- More reliable BLE connection and flight download, with improved MTU and
  connection-parameter handling.
- Cold-start connection robustness: automatic rescan + reconnect and
  on-screen phase status ("Connecting…", "Reading device…") so a slow
  boot no longer looks like a freeze.
- Firmware management overhaul: over-the-air (OTA) updates over both Wi-Fi
  and BLE, an "available versions" dialog, per-device caching, and
  background prefetch of firmware while internet is still available.
- Guided "upgrade to Bluetooth" flow for older devices.
- Device discovery improvements: Wi-Fi is prioritised and discovered
  devices get a provisional name from their serial ID.
- Flight graph enhancements: slope measurement by long-press, flight
  navigation with prefetching, and motor-seconds calculation/display.
- Many localization additions and fixes.
