## What is Glimp?

Glimp — a second chance at the moment you almost lost.

You felt a spark. On the tram, in the bookshop, across the bar. It clicked — and then the moment was gone. Glimp gives that missed moment a second chance.

No endless swiping. No profiles full of filters. Just one real moment, and the chance to reconnect over it.

HOW IT WORKS
• Post a Glimp — mark the place and time of the moment, with a short note about it. No dating profile to fill in.
• Reconnect — people browse moments near them and may remember the same one.
• Match — when you both recognise the moment, a chat opens that quietly disappears after 24 hours. No pressure, no archive.
• Your story — earn XP together and unlock your Storybook, from first match to meeting in person.

WHY GLIMP IS DIFFERENT
Glimp isn't another swipe app. It's built around a single, shared moment between two people who felt the same thing. It's for the romantics, the ones who believe in coincidence, and everyone who's ever walked away thinking "I should have said hello."

SAFE AND RESPECTFUL BY DESIGN
• 18+ only.
• A Glimp is about a shared moment, never about identifying or exposing another person — that is not allowed, and content is screened.
• Report or block anyone, anytime; we review reports within 24 hours.
• You choose who you connect with — accept or decline.
• Disappearing chats — messages vanish after 24 hours.
• Delete your account and all your data from inside the app.
• Real people only — no fake profiles.

Missed the moment? We'll help you find it again.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-29

Some moments you carry for years.

You can now post an Echo — a moment from a place you both knew, back when. Mark the spot, say roughly when, and it stays on the map for three weeks instead of three days. Echoes show as a moon on the map, so you can tell the two apart at a glance.

Also in this release:
• The map stays where you put it. It no longer pulls you back to your own location while you are looking somewhere else, and no longer rebuilds itself when new Glimps arrive.
• A speech bubble marks a Glimp you have answered, and your own Glimp when someone is waiting on you.
• You can have a Spark and an Echo running at the same time.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-08-11

Search now works in the Glimps list — look for a city, or for details
like "red dress".
You get a reminder before your Glimp expires.
Share a Glimp with a link that opens straight in the app, so a moment can
find its way back to the person who was there.
Tap a photo in a chat to see it full screen. Screenshots are blocked.
The map no longer jumps when you first open it.
And you'll be notified when someone answers your Glimp.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-08

New: a list view, so you can browse every Glimp without waiting for the map. You now see real numbers for who viewed your Glimp. You can end a match and start fresh, and report a problem from Community & Safety. Plus a dark app icon.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-31

No release notes.
