There is no other app that does what Glimpse was made to do. The hosts and I went on Glimpse to test it out before the event. As soon as we accept a match it crashes and shuts down immediately. We found that Glimpse works perfectly on a laptop but it does not work at all as an app. It wasn’t even functional as an app. If everything worked perfectly, this would have been a five star review!!! Because of its straightforward design, it only takes about three taps to get anywhere on the app. For those that find Snapchat a bit too complicated or commercial for their needs, Glimpse really provides a sense of intimacy. The spontaneity of the video calls is really my favorite feature. It keeps things fresh and gives me that same feeling you get when you find a long-lost friend on Facebook. Plus, anyone can talk for two minutes, so there’s really no excuse not to keep in touch with people. It would be awesome to have daily “happy hours”, especially now as many are feeling isolated at home, for the public room. Also, maybe a five second “presentation buffer” after a call is accepted would be great for those of us prone to bad hair days/the “front-facing camera effect”. ### 5/5 — YASSS *2020-03-24* Super amazing to bond with my girls during quarantine. Cute way to get to know new people! ### 5/5 — Such a cool idea! *2020-03-20* Used this app last night and it was an absolute blast so great getting to meet people from all over! 2 minutes is the perfect length so you can get to know someone without it getting too awkward. A couple ideas I have would be 1. Profile pictures cause you go through so many different people and it is difficult to place the face with the name 2. A way to give someone your social media by just pressing a button or something so giving it isn’t as awkward 3. A way to chat with people you have matched with after the conversation ends rather then having to look them up on Instagram Overall I am just really happy with this app and I won’t be surprised if I see it blow up soon.
