All I can see are previous Glimpses that I have taken. Very frustrating. App help is not helping ### 2/5 — Where is the help?! *2025-02-17, version 1.6.1* I’ve used Glimpse successfully for years but suddenly I cannot add a new video. The + has disappeared and I’ve emailed their help several times but no responses. Very disappointing. ### 2/5 — Terrible design *2024-11-11, version 1.6.1* Great concept and makes really special videos but completely lacks intuitive interface and there is no back up for your clips. I accidentally deleted my glimpse and a whole trip’s worth of memories when trying to remove a single clip. There was no instruction or user friendly menu to help me navigate and avoid making this easy mistake. The app also doesn’t store your clips and so there’s no way to recover deleted info or put it into a new glimpse from a library of clips. Reached out to customer support and was ignored. But currently there is an issue that the film is not about a second but only about the last 10% of the film. Thereby not enabling the app to be used. When taking a video sometimes it will glitch and not play properly. However, It would be good to be able add a music sound track instead of regular audio. ### 3/5 — This app is great, but… *2021-11-04, version 1.6* I have been using this app for years, mainly as an easy way to make a video of a fun day out, holiday or a friend’s wedding. These short videos are a really great way to capture a fun time! However, as with many others, the sound hasn’t been recording. I have found that the way to get past this is to come out of the app/close it and go back in again, but it’s nowhere near as good as it just working like it used to. It’s hard to capture a moment when you have to faff before each video. Das Upgrade auf die Pro Version ohne nerviges Abo ist bezahlbar. Es gibt aber grobe Einschränkungen, bei denen man sich fragt ob die App jemals fertig entwickelt wurde bzw. noch Service bekommt: • Die Menüleiste im UI wird aber falsch (bzw. gar nicht) angezeigt, was es unmöglich macht, mehrere Compilations parallel zu erstellen. • Bei der Vorschau der aktuellen Compilation wird der erste Clip überspringen bzw. nur kurz angeschnitten. • Das nachträgliche Bearbeiten/Schneiden der Clips ist extrem mühselig. Auch hier überspringt die Vorschau beliebig Teile des zu bearbeitenden Clips. Außerdem bleibt das Bild beim schneiden starr. In Kombination ist es unmöglich, den richtigen Moment für den Schnitt eines Clips zu finden. Ich wünsche mir als pro User ein Update mit den entsprechenden Fehlerbehebungen, dann gibts auch mehr Sterne. ### 1/5 — Lost memories *2023-07-28, version 1.6* I had multiple stories in this app and then one day they are all gone. I sent an email and never received a reply. In the most current version in the most current iOS on a variety of devices the app works fine until you add a 2nd clip without closing the app. Issue- Open app -Take clip (works fine) -Save clip✅. Take 2nd clip 🚨this clip will NOT HAVE AUDIO.🚨 Fix- Close app. Just swip up. Not force quit. Open app… 1st has audio, all next clips don’t. I use this app on all our trips. This bug is really making that unenjoyable . I emailed for support, but no reply. Glimpse what say you? ### 1/5 — Such a disappointment *2021-08-06, version 1.5* Glimpse is such a good idea in theory, so good in fact that I was more than happy to pay the purchase price for all the features. I decided to ask a friend to Glimpse our wedding, but the app only recorded the audio of 1 in every 10 or 12 ‘glimpses.’ You can imagine my huge huge disappointment when I discovered the next day the footage from my vows was without sound, the speeches were lost and nothing had recorded in the way it should of. My wedding was stripped back from 150 people to 15 people due to Covid so we couldn’t have a videographer so this footage really were priceless, to send to all friends and family who could no longer make it. I have emailed Glimpse and have waited 2 months for a reply but as no one has got back to me I think a one star review is apt. Allerdings hat ein Freund, dessen IPhone größer ist oben die Buttons. Auf älteren Modellen (ich habe ein IPhone 15) sind die Buttons nicht sichtbar, sondern nur eine schwarze Leiste auf die man blind tippen kann. I use it for my holiday videos so I don’t have two edit all my footage when I get home. I literally spend half an hour at the end of the night moving a few shots around and then saving it to my Photos album.
