### 2/5 — Good idea, needs work

*2026-07-05*

Genuinely for the life of me keep getting 429 errors when setting up any vpn, the gui is buggy, and overall it’s a bit confusing what settings do what functions.

### 2/5 — Can’t sign back in

*2026-06-21*

App is not bad but if you get signed out then signing back in, the app behaves as if you’re setting up the system for the first time.

I see no way to just log back on…

### 4/5 — Needs to be more versatile

*2026-06-04, version 2.8.0*

Like the fact that I can manage my routers remotely, but more functionalities that are basic like goodcloud online if I could manage repeater options or astrowarp from the app that would be great!

### 2/5 — Route what?

*2025-08-22, version 2.7.0*

Cool idea , kinda like a mini computer, maybe?, never worked! Like most tech!

### 3/5 — USB print server requesting

*2025-07-19, version 2.6.6*

Print server requesting function add

### 3/5 — My router keeps disconnecting

*2024-10-19, version 2.5.2*

I am only giving this 3 stars because my opal keaps disconnecting from my home network

### 1/5 — No admin web

*2024-09-19*

There’s no way to reset your router and reach the proper admin page, it just says for you to put in a password which you don’t have because you weren’t able to set it up in the first place. Support is nonexistent and this product is quite bad.

### 1/5 — Cannot see my router

*2024-08-26, version 2.5.2*

I have supported router according to list provided, application is trying to search, but it cannot see it, I even tried to be in very close to the router distance still showing as searching…

### 4/5 — Can’t be just for an iPhone?!

*2024-05-28, version 2.4.10*

Be nice if the app can be used on iPad. Easy to navigate on an iPad, then an iPhone.

### 1/5 — Eventually stopped working

*2024-05-25, version 2.4.10*

Money down the drain and some settings in the app simply never applied. I literally threw the router away and moved on to a better product because even returning it would have been a hassle.

### 3/5 — Won't connect to Brume 2

*2024-05-25*

I follow the steps to add the MT2500A Brume 2 VPN router using the 'Sub Router Mode', but the app won't go past the 'Power up the router' page. I keep selecting the 'Next' button, but the app does nothing else. They say in the help to add the IP manually, but this app never asks for a manual IP, nor could I find anywhere in the app to enter one.

### 1/5 — Help

*2024-04-03, version 2.4.8*

I can’t figure out how to access “network storage” feature! Please make it more obvious in the app

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-03-17, version 2.4.8*

Maybe it’s the latest update but all I get is a white screen when I open this app. Have reinstalled ,turn my phone off and back on. Nothing works. This app is garbage.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Trash and spare me the justifications

*2026-08-25*

Silly little app that cannot figure out how to make the simplest things when setting this product up doable. EVERY step of the way there is some either time consuming mental puzzle to “guess” what they mean with the vague and contradictory instructions or instructions that assume the user should have a background in computer science to “know what they mean”. Note: the word password seemed too “uncool” for these geniuses.

### 1/5 — Terrible on boarding set up experience

*2026-07-28*

The product tries to be user-friendly with the touchscreen, but the setup process is overly technical and times out repeatedly, and has multiple conflicting password entry screens. It does not make it clear how the user will eventually set up configurations with each hotel as they travel. After an hour of being unable to get it configured, I presumed it would be a usability nightmare when traveling.

### 1/5 — Needs Improvement

*2026-06-20*

Shi77y app needs to be better adding environments vs first time step up

### 1/5 — Instructions?

*2026-06-17, version 2.8.0*

It said to follow the instructions while using this app, but there are no instructions at all!
So I’m left hanging midway and I don’t know how to continue for my particular set up so I must concede and give up. It’s been several months now.

### 1/5 — Used to be so good, but now

*2026-03-15*

GLI updated this application, it used to be so good, now it won’t even find my router and will not allow me to proceed with it in any way.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-09-01*

I tried to use the app to configure the router, but copying and pasting passwords from my password manager was a total pain, especially since the router kept dropping the WiFi connection. Now that I’ve done the configuration using the router’s web UI, the app appears to be useless since it still thinks I need to do the initial config and won’t let me get past that point.

### 1/5 — So unintuitive

*2025-08-27, version 2.7.0*

Trying to even find the DHCP settings to change the gateway address is incredibly difficult. This is the most frustrating router software I have used in decades

### 1/5 — When the app is set to Chinese, the VPN menu does not appear.

*2024-12-09*

2024年11月20日的update

When the app is set to Chinese, the VPN menu does not appear.

This app claims that it does not collect user data, but based on my experience, it definitely collects user data and reports it to China’s Great Firewall system. If you configure a VPN through the app while in China, it usually won’t last more than 72 hours before the Great Firewall blocks the corresponding port.

### 1/5 — Actually Horrible Software

*2024-12-03, version 2.6.0*

I worked in tech for decades and saw some pretty bad software. One thing always sets truly bad software apart from others and that is poor error code. When good software fails it at the very least gives you some hint as to why it fails. This software does not. It works, then it says you’re not connected to the network, all while YOU’RE CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK. It is just bad software. When it works it’s decent. But often it just doesn’t work. And creates untold frustration. FAIL.

### 1/5 — Opal 1200

*2024-11-21, version 2.6.0*

Remove of light why should not please fix issue do better update

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice

*2026-07-03, version 2.8.1*

Handy app if you don’t want to log into your router every time as you can access most things.
Dark mode is a big plus.

### 5/5 — Multiple Routers

*2026-06-18, version 2.8.0*

Fantastic app, I run multiple routers and can control them all from my iPhone, for the most part. Using the GL.one Flint 3 as my primary for the house, a Slate 7 paired with a Starlink Mini for my mobile setup and a Slate 7 as my hotel travel router. They all support Tailscale, Good Cloud and OpenWRT and most functions are accessible via the iOS App. The rest just toss in the iPV4 address from Tailscale in your safari browser and boom, your in. Great app I rate it 5 Stars. They have done some serious updating this year compared to some of these older reviews.

### 5/5 — Works Well

*2026-05-22, version 2.8.0*

The app works well to manage several routers remotely. Great support. Thanks.

### 5/5 — Works on my machine

*2025-09-11, version 2.7.0*

I dunno why 3 stars, app is great. Saying this as a Cisco architect that’s been in networking for a long time.

### 5/5 — Powerful and easy

*2025-07-12*

I have three routers, which I previously configured through the web tool. I hadn’t even known this alternative was available. I used it to configure another router and it was fast and easy. I like that it can link devices to a cloud service. That can be used for simple status checks and troubleshooting, or remote device administration can be enabled. I was glad to see that enabling remote administration requires a local configuration change, which enhances security.

### 5/5 — Solid app just like their routers

*2025-07-09*

Not much to say when every works and accomplishing a required task is easily done. The app is as solid as their well respected routers.

### 5/5 — Not sure about the other reviews, the app works great

*2024-08-06*

I almost didn’t download the app based on the negative reviews, but I’m glad I did. It has all the settings I can foresee one needing and it’s all a lot easier to use than trying to do the web interface from your phone. Simple things like changing the SSID and password for the router are readily available, as are the VPN settings. Overall I think it’s definitely worth it. Especially if you travel frequently and will be connecting your router to other WiFi.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2024-01-15, version 2.4.7*

Setting up my Flint 2 router was a breeze with this app. I can do most of what I want just from my phone. The UI looks great, the app performs well and it gets the job done. So far, so good.

### 5/5 — Does the job

*2023-11-15*

I have no issues managing my Slate router with this app.

### 5/5 — Works well.

*2023-09-27*

Using this app with an AXT1800 and it has been solid.
