Atrocious charges so moved over to BullionVault ### 4/5 — Silver gold investment made easy *2026-01-10* I love the Glint app. Things that need to improve is there day delay between selling you gold or silver and the funds arriving in your glint wallet. You should also be able to shift silver to gold and vice versa without having to convert to cash first. Also the fee for the purchases on top of the 1% charge is way too high! I do love the way they provide a debit card to spend your gold asset the same way you would fiat currency. However it would be nice if there was a way to do the same with silver rather than just gold. Also would be nice if they showed the percentage gain/loss on your precious metal purchases. ### 2/5 — Fees *2025-12-04, version 3.4.10* Ridiculous transfer withdraw and monthly vault fees. They charge “vault fees” every month, 0.9% sell fee, buy fee, currency conversion fees. It removes the risk of having physical gold in your home. I find buying gold to be straight forward and the premium very low. Gold is allocated and stored in Swiss vaults. I have interacted with support staff initially on 2 or three occasions and have found their staff to be well informed and highly motivated to provide fast responses. The APP is simple and straight forward. My desire/goal was to protect my current bank USD fiat funds from debasement by transferring them into gold and silver bullion. I have most of my account in gold and silver bullion but keep a small amount in USD for small monthly vaulting fees. My card is set to make purchases out of only cash, not gold or silver. This keeps my Internet fraud potential loss at a minimum if my Glint debit card was compromised lost or stolen. It is limited to the $100 I keep in cash. This account is real savings. In today’s economy. While I do not consider it to be an investment in the long term, it has outperformed all of my other investments in real estate, equities, fiat cash. Gold and silver are a hedge against debasement of various domestic and foreign currencies. Initially, payments were made within 3 business days, but now it takes 5 business days. It's been 10 business days for me and I still haven't received my money. I'm withdrawing all my money and will delete the app. I absolutely do not recommend using it. The act of linking my checking account blew up my online banking due to suspected fraudulent activity. Excessive waiting for funds and changes to account make this a frustrating experience. Now that I’m trying to get my money back they want screenshots of my bank statements and other info that makes me feel uncomfortable. This platform is amazing but taking up to seven days or more to do a simple transfer or not being able to get out of a lot of ATMs. Yeah only certain banks it’s complicated. Also, the having to be a US citizen or UK or European Union citizen is a bit stressful. Meaning Americans without a Social Security number would have to pay x-ray to get an individual taxpayer ID. Also, when I sell something, I don’t want it to be pending all weekend or even during the week if it’s over a certain amount I want to get my money and get it out or move it to the next place. This is my core for liquidity It needs to act as a liquidity tool. Also, I think they should eliminate the fees for transactions or eliminate the fee for just having an account or slash them both in half.
