GlobalOffice is the application that allows you to read and write any document, spreadsheet or slide. GlobalOffice uses LibreOffice for that purpose, and it establishes sessions with our servers. As such, GlobalOffice provides you with all the LibreOffice functionalities. LibreOffice is a free and open source office suite that comprises programs for word processing, the creation and editing of spreadsheets, slideshows, diagrams and drawings, working with databases, and composing mathematical formulae. In concrete, GlobalOffice allows you to use the following LibreOffice modules: - Writer. A word processor with similar functionality and file support to Microsoft Word or WordPerfect. It has extensive WYSIWYG word processing capabilities, but can also be used as a basic text editor. - Calc. A spreadsheet program, similar to Microsoft Excel or Lotus 1-2-3. It has a number of unique features, including a system which automatically defines series of graphs, based on information available to the user. - Impress. A presentation program resembling Microsoft PowerPoint. Presentations can be exported as SWF files, allowing them to be viewed on any computer with Adobe Flash Player installed. - Draw. A vector graphics editor and diagramming tool similar to Microsoft Visio and comparable in features to early versions of CorelDRAW. It provides connectors between shapes, which are available in a range of line styles and facilitate building drawings such as flowcharts. It also includes features similar to desktop publishing software such as Scribus and Microsoft Publisher. - Math. An application designed for creating and editing mathematical formulae. The application uses a variant of XML for creating formulas, as defined in the OpenDocument specification. These formulas can be incorporated into other documents in the LibreOffice suite, such as those created by Writer or Calc, by embedding the formulas into the document. - Base. A database management program, similar to Microsoft Access. LibreOffice Base allows the creation and management of databases, preparation of forms and reports that provide end users easy access to data. Like Access, it can be used to create small embedded databases that are stored with the document files. No merece ni un estrella! Malísima, pésima, no pierdan su tiempo descargándola y no ensucien su teléfono. ### 1/5 — Nowhere near ready for beta let alone production release! *2018-12-01, version 4.1* Screen will not rotate on iPad. Cannot open existing files. Cloud feature fails with unknown error. No documentation. No way to contact support. Option to purchase Pro version from app store appears to work flawlessly. I uninstalled 5 minutes after installing. This app is nowhere near ready for beta let alone a production release. Has potential since it is the only IPad app I can find to revise spreadsheets from LibreOffice and the ODS format. Clumsy and clunky, cannot copy and paste formulas and being used to typical menu bars of edit and such is different. No way to go to landscape No way to print For some reason it saves to somewhere but either local or web or cloud is dicey. I just spent an hour revising a spreadsheet and kept saving it and the app locked and gone was my revised document. No function to save as xlsx, no way to tell where the working file is and be nice to do a save as and rename it from menu So frustrating to use that I will get rid of it until someone actually puts some effort into this design Seems this app was rushed out before some real thought ### 1/5 — Buggy *2018-05-31* My version seems to be non-functional. It has been riddled with bugs - blank interfaces, broken buttons, saving issues, ineditable texts.... ### 2/5 — A bit clunky from my iPhone *2016-07-13* Runs in some form of cloud-hosted virtual machine, so every time I click on a cell (in calc), I had a 'Wait' message come up for about 1/3rd to 1/2 a second. When trying to type something in, the on-screen keyboard causes the google advert to cover most of the application window, and the app doesn't seem to rotate to landscape. ### 2/5 — Not yet ready for release *2016-04-14, version 2.1* I am a great fan of Libreoffice, so was very disappointed with this offering. It really does not work very well - for example, the screen will not auto-rotate, forcing you to type in portrait mode with a small awkward keyboard. I am familiar with it from use on my PC. I can't believe this is your first review! But there is a serious flaw with the presentation of the same software for my iPad. It has nasty animated ads that cut off the bottom of the page. Pleeeeze, give me a paid alternative to get rid of the ads.
