Haven’t used it for anything too complex. ### 5/5 — Solid does the job *2026-05-09* I came over from Amber and pleasantly surprised by the app here. Handles the basics for zero hero well, informative data visuals and easy to set up. Would only suggest to set a good default for the scheduled settings to the zero hero times, as most people on this plan would be doing the same. ### 1/5 — Credit card only is a Dog move. *2026-03-01* Why is it that payment is only accepted via credit card? Smart people don’t have credit cards. All other companies allow direct debit via a bank account and when it comes to manual bill payment there’s no reason why you can’t accept all other payment methods in the app such as Apple Pay. The only reason I can think of why you would force credit card is so you can take payments from people even when they’re broke so you can put them in debt. It’s definitely not thinking about the customers needs. I thought utility providers were required by law to provide options to struggling and vulnerable customers, this seems counter to that. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback on the latest update and glad to hear you like the new features! ### 3/5 — App stopped working Properly *2026-02-28* After working well for a week, suddenly all the battery data and control has been removed (account details are still there). None of the FAQ or new AI assistant address this, and wait times for help on the phone are ridiculous. I’ve had to revert to the iCloud solar app to control the battery - and that doesn’t allow as much flexibility as the Globird app with forced discharging. ### 2/5 — A lot could be improved *2025-12-26* App is pretty hopeless which is disappointing for a brand marketing itself as digital and competitive. All the incentives on ZeroHero only seem to show up on your bill but not the app. Eg exports during the 15c window only show as the standard rate until you receive your bill. Same as critical export and others which is a shame. It’s also clunky when trying to review usage. Probably employed a 1980’s programmer to put it together. All this means is you’ve got limited knowledge of your tracking in the month. Look elsewhere if realtime tracking is important. **Developer response:** Hi Matthew - thanks for the detailed feedback. We hear you. The app used to lag when it came to showing the ZEROHERO benefits and you were right that these only showed up on the bill. Good news - we’ve now added in‑app features that show ZEROHERO benefits in real time (next day), so you can actually see the value you’re earning without waiting for your bill. We have also been improving the usage charts and will continue to work on these. Lot more friendly UI/UX than my previous providers app. Has everything you need! Highly recommend! ### 2/5 — Basic app - works but average UI *2024-09-23* App needs a redesign - very basic. the UI and design is not great. It does what it needs to do but could be much much nicer design and interface - for example having to load the graphs and select the meter each time to load seems silly. The mix of fonts and font sizes and different layouts on each page seems a bit clunky. Massive room for improvement. **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback DChilli! Can’t view actual dollars. Just previously using Origin app and alternate from KW to dollars, is way better.
