### 4/5 — Poor iPhone X support

*2019-06-08, version 1.66*

This is a great app and is very helpful!
I just wish it was formatted to support the iPhone X display

### 5/5 — Very handly for GH players. must own.

*2018-12-31, version 1.54*

the fog of war is very good in new version. please fix the iphone x problem on top and bottom, then it will be perfect

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2018-07-31, version 1.3*

This is an amazing tool to help keep the scenarios obscured until you need the info. My only complaints are: selecting a scenario is very difficult from the list and requires multiple taps and the image resolution is pretty lack luster.

Still the app is a must have for any gloomhaven group.

### 5/5 — Play Gloomhaven right

*2018-05-07, version 1.2*

Thanks for making this - it makes for a much more authentic dungeon crawl experience.

### 5/5 — 1 problem with the new update (edit, no more problem)

*2018-03-20, version 1.2*

I retract my previous statement! This app is great and has no flaws!

Definitely get it and use it if you play Gloom!

### 5/5 — Awesome tool

*2018-03-20, version 1.2*

This app really helps streamline need the game. Thanks so much.

### 5/5 — The perfect companion

*2018-03-19, version 1.2*

Works flawless and does everything as good as advertised.

### 5/5 — A MUST for every session

*2018-03-06, version 1.1.0*

A simple and effective way to maintain the suspense.

### 5/5 — App of the century !

*2018-03-05, version 1.1.0*

With this app, gloomhaven becom far more immersive.

### 5/5 — Great app, ads done right

*2018-02-17, version 1.1.0*

This is a very cool app, and helps to hide the info you don't need until you need it. Keeps the mystery going longer.

But can I comment on something more impressive? This is ads done right. I have no issue watching ads to support a developer, but I hate the battery drain. This lets me watch ads when I can afford the battery impact and distraction, but then keeps the focus on the app when I am using it. I will gladly support any developer who adopts this model and considers their user's experience.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scenario in french...

*2019-12-11, version 1.70*

Only the first scenario is in french even with paiement !...

### 1/5 — Notch Support

*2019-01-06, version 1.55*

Screen is blocked by notch in iPhone X, XS, XS Max, and XR. Seems like any easy fix? But instead adds IAP and update to portrait? I am all for supporting through an IAP. But quality first.

### 2/5 — Language support in paid version

*2020-07-01, version 1.75*

I can't see the available languages for the paid version before I pay.
What are the supported languages?

### 3/5 — Like the app but pics are too blurry

*2019-08-07, version 1.69*

I like the app a lot but my only complaint is when you zoom in on the board pieces you cannot read what piece they are.

Is there anyway you can provide better pictures for the board pieces?

I’m still having to open up the scenario book to see what the numbers are on the board pieces.

### 3/5 — Great Gloomhaven support App, but give us a advert free option

*2018-11-01, version 1.3*

This App is fantastic, a brilliant and useful tool which has become a mandatory element in our playing of Gloomhaven. The option of hidden reveal rooms enhances the sense of exploration and removed the need to use the cumbersome scenario book, which saves space in a realestate hungry game. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars : the recent addition of intrusive advertising has significantly diminished my enjoyment and ease of use of this app, please, please, please give us an add-free option, I would gladly pay $3-5 for this app to make it advert free!

### 3/5 — Good app but the screen should be turning

*2018-07-11, version 1.3*

The idea behind this app is geeat but it should include an option to work when the iPad is turned horizontaly. Please add it, it’s very uncofrtable to use this app without this option.

### 4/5 — Please do not set Chinese to in-app purchase

*2022-04-11, version 1.75*

Please do not set Chinese to in-app purchase, because Chinese players cannot in-app purchase, in-app purchase requires a US credit card.

### 4/5 — Nearly perfect except for one glaring flaw…

*2021-12-29, version 1.75*

I’m the forever GM of my group, so when we discovered Gloomhaven I was excited to get to play in a game I didn’t have to create and manage. But of course someone had to set up the room tiles with the correct pieces, and the scenario book doesn’t provide a spoiler-free way of handling that, so I was stuck with the job of looking ahead in the scenario book and setting up the board for everyone. So everyone got to be surprised when we opened a door but me.

That’s why when I found this app I was REALLY excited. I finally have the option to play along with everyone else without spoiling every room up front. For that I am thankful.

However, I have one suggestion that to me seems like a massive oversight on the developer’s part. Each room of every scenario can be toggled to hide or show that room’s contents… but the tokens section is lumped together into one toggle! And the token section is the only section that shows the name of the enemies! I can hide the specific layout of the rooms (enemy placement, traps, obstacles, loot, etc) to keep from spoiling, but in order to know which monster stat cards and overlay tiles to get when we open a door, I have to toggle on the tokens section and spoil every monster in the entire scenario.

In my opinion, it should be changed in the following way: instead of making the token list one toggle field, make each token its own section and tie each monster or overlay in that section to the room it appears in, so that it reveals the appropriate tokens as the rooms are revealed. Or at the very least (if that’s not possible) make each token its own toggleable field and color code the rooms and tokens somehow so that only the pertinent tokens can be revealed. This app is designed to eliminate spoilers for the person setting up the scenario, and a change like that would improve the app’s functionality immensely in that regard.

Thank you!

### 4/5 — No German Version

*2020-08-10, version 1.75*

It‘s a pity that this nice App is not available in German.
I know that the publisher Feuerland prohibits the use of their translation work. But there is also a community translation available on Boardgame Geek. Maybe you can use that.
If that is also not possible you could add a features that allows one to self upload (to the app locally on the smartphone) pictures from the texts in the scenario book or self made translations.

### 4/5 — Gute Umsetzung

*2020-05-02, version 1.75*

Wenn es jetzt noch in Deutsch wäre gäbe es 5 Sterne

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love the app! Frosthaven in your sights?

*2020-05-01, version 1.75*

We love the simplicity of the app. It is very useful and helps avoid spoilers! Are you planning to develop something for Frosthaven?

### 5/5 — Good App

*2020-04-19, version 1.75*

Makes set up faster and spoiler free

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2020-01-04*

I recommend this highly. By keeping unexplored areas a mystery, every scenario becomes more exciting. Kicking open a new door becomes a rush. It improves the whole campaign much more than I’d expected. And the free version works a charm. Big thanks to the developers!

### 5/5 — 中文玩家很值得买！

*2019-10-05, version 1.69*

马上要支持中文啦！

### 5/5 — Need Traditional Chinese Version

*2019-09-24, version 1.69*

Traditional Chinese please, not Simplified Chinese!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-09-14, version 1.69*

The only thing I really want is the ability to only see tokens (monsters, treasure, etc.) included in the visible room(s). Knowing all of the monster types in the entire scenario is definitely a spoiler.

### 5/5 — Great App, but kills outside music

*2019-04-06, version 1.62*

Love the app, but for some reason it stops playback on other background music apps. Would appreciate if that were fixed.

### 5/5 — Great companion app to avoid spoilers

*2019-03-26, version 1.62*

As the person who sets up the map for each scenario we play, I was finding it hard not to peek at other rooms to see monster and treasure locations before I should have. This app is super easy to use and perfect for this!

### 5/5 — Makes it more exciting! Great free app

*2019-01-05, version 1.55*

Typically we don’t choose to bring electronic screens to the table for playing board games. We like to keep it analog and old school and tactile.

But there are some apps that enhance the game, and this is one. If you use the printed scenario book but get lots of spoilers in your eyes. If you use this app you are spared all those spoilers!

There is a small in app purchase you can choose to acquire. It’s nice because it makes it even easier to use. But the free version does all the important stuff on its own. So consider the in app purchase a small donation if you want to choose to buy it.

But otherwise just use this great app for free!

### 5/5 — Easy and Functional

*2019-01-01, version 1.54*

Easy to use and always works. Now we leave the scenario book away and just use the phone. Plus you can play with “fog of war” a little to up the anticipation.
