This is by far one of the best, most interesting generative art apps I've seen. I looks great and its always different. The only idea I can contribute is maybe add a button to start over from scratch. YOU CANT GET IT TO WORK. *2014-01-23, version 1.2* Opened it up, touched the screen, started doing its thing, that's it. It only goes to a certain point in five seconds then it's stuck. Open it back up,remains the same from where I left it. App needs to be rewritten. ### 1/5 — Neat, but broken *2012-12-24, version 1.2* The initial forms generated by the app are pretty cool: shimmery blobs of colorful static that ebb and flow. Sadly within 30 seconds of first using it, I got stuck with a full screen of static with no apparent way to reset. Is this a bug, or am I missing something? As it stands the only way I can figure out to reset it is to delete and reinstall, which is pretty lame. ### 2/5 — Limited time before designs become lo-rez static *2024-07-23, version 1.4* Portrait only. I started out with pad punches and streaks, which gave me interesting patterns in limited color values. Within a minute they became a screen full of low-resolution static. Which is OK, if you have better options. Maybe I am missing a settings control, but I can’t find it. Adjust colors with a drag bar. Not many choices nor results. Was actually looking forward to an in-app purchase, but no available upgrades. People have been a bit generous with their rating stars (maybe those people should start rating their girlfriends and doctors). Looks like the only way to reset is closing out of the app…once a minute! 😫 If V1 is 5 years old, I give up on V2. [I heard app designs have gotten a bit easier in 5 years; evidently you still need motivation, Mr. Coffeshop.] ### 2/5 — ? *2011-11-08, version 1.2* I really want to like this app. However, I keep getting a fuzzy screen that I can't reset. Fix this and it'll be amazing. ### 3/5 — cool, but.. *2014-09-17, version 1.3* how come the screen caps just make a solid black image? ### 3/5 — Meta stable state fries program *2013-05-17, version 1.2* Some promising forms come out of the program but it keeps falling into a pattern you can't get it out of...a kind of tv-snow. The math/algo needs to be redesigned and the shake reset needs to be more reliable to escape constant rebooting. Some advice: A) Don't touch it a lot...each tap adds a spreading circle of noise, so add a point and observe a couple minutes; B) If you get 'snow' WAIT...it is slow but it will 'figure itself out' -- taps will only compound the problem and the shake reset is sluggish with really random screens. (This part of algo is needing most attention from dev) C) Observe whole cycle from shaken screen reset to empty again...this will take several minutes but you will learn to intuit the patterns and you will know when to touch and when to just watch! ### 3/5 — Like, but... *2011-03-21, version 1.2* I, too, get the "blue and white" crash screen... All seems well... Happy colors and shapes... Then all goes to "snow"...sad... I know it would be a serious time vampire if if were not for that problem!...
