However, with how small it is it is hard to do research on it. I was under the impression from checking comment sections in the app itself that paid coin options would be saved if you wanted to replay the story. This is unfortunately, as of right now, not the case. Very disappointed as I put about $20 into choices I’d like to reuse and now that I’ve restarted the story I’ve lost those options. Like the background music in it???? ### 2/5 — Fun game; predatory sales *2025-02-12, version 2.5.6* I was really charmed by this app when it first came out. It's a neat way to get a larger window into your favorite Webtoons. It's a fun way to find new Webtoons and connect with them. The interface looks nice, most of the stories have music, and the stories mostly all come out with new chapters really regularly. There are a few minor flaws, and one giant one though. --There isn't a way to find out more about any given individual author, which is disappointing but not deal breaking. --You can't replay individual chapters to redo a choice; instead you must start the entire story over from the beginning. This is frustrating, but still manageable for someone patient. --The real dealbreaker for me, though, is that the coin sales--like so many cell phone games-- have become extremely predatory. In the beginning, you got one free coin a day, and a paid choice cost 7-9 coins. So about once a week, you could make 1 premium choice in 1 story. Over time though, the choices went up to 19 coins each. Then they started expiring free coins after a week, so you could not actually use them at all. (This may have changed back again now). Finally, choices now cost generally around 49 coins, or in real world money, about $5 per choice. Some of these paid options just add maybe 3 extra lines of dialogue. And with some of the stories being 12+ chapters in length, you would end up spending well over $60. This is significantly more than buying a full color, hardback, physical version of a book -- which you could open to your favorite part and not have to start over from the beginning! The free choices often shame you too. For example: Paid Choice: "Say something cute and flirty" Free Choice: "Yank back your hand and glare at them!" Not quite, but almost. Is it a fun game? Yes. Charming and cute, and a bit clever. Is three lines of extra dialogue worth $5? Well, surely not to me. And I cannot at all justify paying $60 or more to try to see what all the paid options are.
