### 2/5 — Not in love

*2020-02-10, version 1.8*

I like the Active app better bc you can create categories for your favorite videos. I’ll never use all the extra stuff in Glow. I’me sure it has nice features for some people, but I like the simplicity of the Active app better.

### 2/5 — Getting better but key features missing

*2020-01-03, version 1.7*

I was a huge fan of Active by Popsugar and I used it daily to work out. I’m trying to slowly adjust to Glow but one of the main features I’m missing is the ability to organize workouts into Collections. Really helps the user experience. Please add this feature to help loyal users adjust!!

**Developer response:** Good news! There is a new version of Glow now available fixing these issues and we've moved over even more videos from Active. We hope you enjoy! If you are still having trouble reach out to us through the app or at glow@popsugar.com

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2019-12-31, version 1.7*

Love the instructors and the videos! Easy to use! Workouts are fun and challenging! Thanks for making this!

### 5/5 — Great workouts

*2019-12-26, version 1.7*

The active sub is great value. I like the short workouts. I do them at home and while traveling

### 5/5 — So good

*2019-12-26, version 1.7*

Love Glow! Amazing workouts. I recommend it to everyone!

### 3/5 — Workout Programs are great!

*2019-12-10, version 1.6*

Purchased two for one during Black Friday sale. However, miss the original PopSugar Active App and the variety it offered for free along with the valuable tips on fitness and nutrition. Not sure if I will continue making alacart purchases in the future as it’s expensive.

### 5/5 — fantastic

*2019-11-26, version 1.6*

i use this app all the time

### 5/5 — Thank you, Glow!

*2019-11-11, version 1.5*

I love that I can aggregate all of my favorite workout subscriptions with new meal plans and exercises that I discover on Glow. I can workout anywhere, anytime, stream to my TV... and best I can delete all my other fitness apps!!

### 2/5 — So disappointed

*2019-10-30, version 1.4*

Like the other reviewers, I have been a loyal and religious user of the Popsugar Active app for several years and am so sad to see this migration occur. I downloaded Glow and can only find 25% of the content I use on Active. This new app is organized in a very convoluted and odd way (by trainer) and I can’t seem to click on any preview unless I pay Glow credits. I really hope the app developers fix this before Active goes away. Otherwise I’m going to sadly need to find another workout app.

### 1/5 — What the literal hell?!?

*2019-10-29, version 1.4*

I’ve used Active forever and exposed me to so many great trainers. This new version is terrible and now Popsugar is charging for previously free workouts. Will not be purchasing any “glow” credits.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not happy

*2020-03-14, version 1.8*

This is not a user friendly app. The original active app is so much better and easier to use. I do not like how this app is organized nor how you have to opt into full plans with very little information on them. The icing on the cake though is not having the many free workouts any longer. This app is all around a bummer, will not be continuing!

### 1/5 — Now I have to pay to work out!

*2020-02-11, version 1.8*

Loved the Active App because I could work out for free at home and now you go and change it and I have to purchase things I got for free! Probably won’t be using this new app, sorry, not sorry!

### 1/5 — Why would you do this?

*2020-01-27, version 1.7*

I loved Active by Popsugar, (which big difference) was free. Why was it decided to change to Glow and to charge to do a workout? Glow is not user friendly and I have no idea what workouts I would even want. There is no option to try it out without paying for it. What if I hate it?
Really not happy about this change..

### 1/5 — Disappointed & looking elsewhere

*2020-01-26, version 1.7*

Like other users have stated, Active changed a really good thing. Yes, my workouts transferred over to Glow, but so did dozens of others I did not use or like. Furthermore, I can’t group them into categories like before. Extremely disappointed and I, too, will NOT be purchasing any ‘Glow credits’. Will be looking elsewhere for workouts. What a shame, especially when Active was so useful.

### 1/5 — Not impressed

*2019-11-30, version 1.6*

I liked the active app better
This one is confusing and why would I want to pay so much for the workouts that had previously been free?
I’ll be using other fitness apps now

### 1/5 — So disappointed

*2019-11-10, version 1.5*

I loved Active. I even tried to like Glow. I browsed the classes you can buy for ‘Glow Credits’. Come on. Just put the price on the class. I don’t mind paying for something valuable. But I want to try the instructor and class before I spend. Bad business choice by PopSugar.

### 1/5 — Very disappointed with this app

*2019-11-09, version 1.5*

I have used the Active app for many years and it is the only workout app that I use, because there is a wide range of workouts, and what I like most about the Active app is that I can categories my workouts (weighted, cardio, abs, lower body, arms etc.), which makes it easy to find my workouts each day and saves me time by not having to search through all of the workouts. This feature is not available on the Glow app; what’s worse, the Glow app is very slow to respond. I appreciate that my content in the Active app has been migrated free to the Glow app, but the Glow app is not user friendly. I don’t have an issue paying a reasonable price for good service, but if the Glow app is not improved, I cannot support. The Active app works! I can understand if you need to start charging, but why the need to migrate to a new app that does not perform well? I hope this can be fixed.

**Developer response:** Good news! There is a new version of Glow now available fixing these issues and we've moved over even more videos from Active. We hope you enjoy! If you are still having trouble reach out to us through the app or at glow@popsugar.com

### 1/5 — Extremely disappointing

*2019-11-06, version 1.5*

Why ruin a good thing? It doesn’t look like you will be keeping your loyal fan-base/customers.

### 1/5 — Terrible revision to Active

*2019-11-04, version 1.5*

This app is supposed to be the new version of Active by Popsugar. Don’t waste your time. They no longer have free exercise videos and to follow any of the programs you have to pay with “points”. When converted to actual money, some of these programs cost anywhere from $20-$119.00! What’s worse is that you don’t get to even preview a sample before you buy to see if the video will be right for your fitness level. With so many options available to people on other apps, why does Popsugar think anyone would be interested in such an archaic format?! I’ll be looking elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Hot garbage

*2019-10-30, version 1.4*

This app is a travesty. I appreciate migrating us loyal and devoted Active users for free, but only a handful of the Active workouts make it into this version. To add insult to injury, there is no preview to even see if you’d want to spend money on individual workouts in Glow.

There are literally a million workout apps, before getting rid of one of the best, do some homework and figure out what your users want. This was made by a bunch of people who sat in a conference room, never talked to anyone in the real world and tried to make an app they could profit from. No way anyone who used the Active app was consulted in the making of this train wreck.

Do yourself a favor and keep Active going and spend some time making Glow a thing your user base isn’t mad at.
