## What is GlowCast?

Is tonight's sunset worth going out for? Is tomorrow's sunrise worth the early alarm? GlowCast answers in seconds.

Open the app and see tonight's sunset scored from 0 to 10, with a plain-English reason: high clouds ready to catch the color, a clear path for the light, or thick low clouds that will block the show.

HOW IT WORKS
GlowCast looks at the forecast around sunset and sunrise: clouds at different heights, rain, visibility, humidity, and fog. It also checks the sky far out toward the horizon, where the sun actually sets or rises, because a wall of low cloud there can block the light even when the sky overhead looks perfect. High and mid-level clouds can light up orange and pink; low clouds, fog, and haze tend to hide the sun. GlowCast weighs it all and gives you one simple score, plus whether the weather is steady or changing fast.

FEATURES
• Tonight's sunset score from 0 to 10: Poor, Fair, Good, Great, or Spectacular
• Tomorrow's sunrise score, with morning rules for fog and low cloud
• Steady or unsteady weather, so you know whether the forecast is likely to change
• How much better than usual tonight's odds of a standout sunset are
• Sunset time and when golden hour starts
• The top reasons behind the score
• A cloud breakdown: high, mid, and low clouds, rain chance, and visibility
• Great-sunset alerts: an optional notification before sunset when a great one is likely, every evening or just tonight
• Sunrise alarm: an optional alarm before sunrise, set only when the morning looks great, so you never get up early for a gray sky
• 5-day forecast with sunrise and sunset scores for each day
• Search any city, and save a favorite place
• Works with your approximate location, or no location at all

The sunrise forecast and 5-day forecast unlock for 24 hours after a short video.

Perfect for photographers chasing golden hour, early risers, beachgoers, hikers, and anyone who loves a good sky.
